DSOON Night Vision Binoculars Field Tests and Review

A big thanks to DSOON for sending the binoculars for testing - I'm impressed with them and they are a real leap over the previous night vision binoculars / monoculars I have experience of many years ago while out shooting with other people who owned them.
Back then the images were always a green fuzzy mess and practically useless for spotting wildlife at night but the DSOON binoculars are genuinely useful and the quality of image seems great to me although the 'real life' image while using doesn't always translate well to what is recorded - what looks perfectly in focus on the binoculars screen could be slightly out on the recorded image if the focusing isn't perfect.
However, it's still a decent quality image which is captured for the videos as you can see in the recorded video clips in this review.
I will get a small tripod connected to the binoculars and try to get some good footage of wildlife over the next few months as my local area is usually great for wildlife filming.
If you're looking for an option for viewing AND filming at night then I can definitely recommend the DSOON binoculars - thanks for watching.

lol, you don't have to buy everything I feature on the channel but that's 2 very useful items. The water filter went out yesterday so with any luck you should get it Saturday - tracking should be active today.

Nice one - yes I was pleasantly surprised myself, especially in total darkness. It is difficult to capture how good the picture is in a video compared to 'real life'.

I have been looking for a good , quality night vision binoculars without breaking the bank and watching your video I have found it !! The DSOON night vision brand on your video is perfect for what I need , the image was a good quality at 300M and that's a pretty good distance for the price for what I need ... ( thats about 3 football fields in length at NIGHT vision ) Also the price is amazing , I can't wait to order mine with a tripod mount to hold securely in place ... Thank you for your video

The strange thing is that when you're panning, the image goes very jerky,, but when you focus on water, it seems really smoothly flowing.
I guess it must have something to do with frame rate settings within ghe firmware of the thing.

I'm a little surprised it runs on a heap of AA batteries. It would be lighter and run much longer if it was designed for 18650's. AA seems a very strange design choice for modern equipment like this.
Great review, I want to use these for stargazing and tracking satellites, etc. Will these work for that purpose? I saw the short clip of the space station. How was the clarity when viewing these kinds of objects?
The clarity for spotting stars is good but bear in mind that magnification is limited.

They give a great view. I watched one of your vids the other day where an otter had attacked and killed two of your carp. You could hang out round your pond to catch him at it . Do you get much trouble with otters at your pond and is there anything you can do to discourage them ?
The strange thing is that I've not seen an otter on the pond for years but that could be because the fish passes on the river have been completed - if there are now more migratory fish traveling up the river and more eels in there the otters will have no reason to venture away from the river.

Nice video and good review. I tried to order from here, but for me here in Bucharest, Romania is way too expensive to buy from th Dsoon site...i'll buy instead from Aliexpress, is cheaper from there and i get this in max 7 days. I hope to not regret the purchase.

You do realize that when in night vision..that bright light that you see while looking through the binoculars, human eyes can't see..but animals can.
