    Sorry, but this is not speed-ramping. What you're describing is simply changing the speed. The only finessing is Fade In and Fade Out. With genuine speed-ramping as implemented by DaVinci Resolve, I can have a gradual speed change over a period of time. So when graphed, it looks like a ramp. Aditionally, with DaVinci Resolve I can change the shape of the ramp by dragging parts of the ramp up or down. I use PowerDirector for most editing, but DaVinci Resolve for ramping. Why don't I use DaVinci Resolve all the time? I probably would, but my PC is not fast enough and doesn't have a suitable video card.

      Da Vinci resolve is great soft! But it has one big problem - learning curve. For simple social media edits, simple youtube videos Da Vinci is annoying time stealer. You can save a ton of time doing the same tasks with PD, cap cut etc. Btw, you need to have da Vinci Studio to get GPU support. Studio costs the same as 6 years PD Sub, what has Nvidia support.

      Agreed. This is not speed ramping. I have been using PowerDirector for a number of years and the inability to create a professional looking speed ramp has always bothered me. I have recently delved into DaVinci Resolve myself and it does have a learning curve but so did PowerDirector when first using the product. If I am working on a video that I do not want to spend as much time working on I will use PowerDirector. For those special videos I will take the necessary time with Davinci Resolve.

      @@DavidLorenzoFlorida Yep, you've described the decision criteria perfectly. A couple of weeks ago I bit the bullet and spent time on Davinci basics, plus quite a few hours learning the things that are missing or poorly implemented in PowerDirector. Another thing about Davinci that has impressed me is the quantity of quality how-to videos on RUclips.

      @@SirGregoryFamilyRUclips Since my last comment I have stopped using PowerDirector and am exclusively using the Studio version of Davinci Resolve. The Planar Tracker in the Fusion panel is a godsend. I can now do things I never could do well or not at all in Powerdirector. I am still learning DR but am thrilled every time I discover more under its "hood".

      @@DavidLorenzoFlorida Wow, Studio version! That's a serious commitment. Impressive.

    Please clarify: you said go back to the main editing view to mark the start and end points with blue markers, but didn't explain how to precisely match the already-edited time points on the main the view. I'm hoping you didn't mean that you have to then re-access the speed editor in order to painstakingly dial in each previously-editied start and stop points and write down their precise times to remember them?

      Here you go! 😀 Thea feature in PowerDirector 365 is called "Nested Project". You can create a project as a template, such as your vlog video opening and then save it. The saved project can be found in the "My Project" library. You can just drag and drop the template project to be reused in other projects timeline as a nested project.

    How to add substitute using android

    • @PowerDirectorOfficial
      @PowerDirectorOfficial  Год назад +1

      The concept is simlar to PowerDirector 365 on a PC. Spliting your source video into 2 clips and then apply the speed adjustment on either the front or rear clip to make the speeds different. You can also use video reverse, which is also available in PowerDirector Mobile now. Applying AI body wraping fx also looks cool! 😄
