If you have Windows 10/11 or Mac and you're a low risk user, the built-in protection should be all that you need. Otherwise, you'll be better protected using another program mentioned in this video instead... Thanks for watching :)
@michaelrussell220 Some examples of high risk would be clicking on unknown links, browsing on unsecured sites, and downloading from sketchy sites to name a few.
I think another BIG consideration is the NAG factor. An AV should just run quietly in the background letting you forget about it, but some keeping trying to pressure you to upgrade with nag screens and pop ups for this and that.
I like Norton. Side Note: My Norton 360 was set to expire March 1, 2024 and the company wanted ~$120 for 1 year/5 user renewal. I brought a new Norton 360 1 year/3 user (I only use 3 licenses) for $19 on Amazon.
have you tried the "Windows Tech Support"? they mostly have a indian accent, but they are very helpfull, treat you with respect and they won't stop helping until the problem has been solved. very kind people.
Many thanks for this timely refresher in newest free A-V software, Brett. Useful. I've used free Zone Alarm Antivirus & Firewall for YEARS, on every PC. (I think it's GOOD.) If you have Time: could you please share why Zone Alarm Free A-V doesn't belong in the Top 5?
Hello, I would like to get this cleared up, would it be okay if I run both BitDefender and Malwarebytes simultaneously? I just want that extra bit of protection
I use Avast Free.. the Big Brother of AVG. No issues from other people posted. Defender is good is just basic internet usage. Also...new Zone alarm..all their stuff...is Garbage.
the avira 1.1.89.1 version lags my system due to its insistence of installing some security suite/package with out my knowledge. or covertly does it when a pop up is made by the app. If a virus is defined by malicious intent by not letting the user know the app wants to do something you dont want to then wont this qualify as a virus?
idk what to use i had norton 360 paid with family but because i got a new pc it kind of not let me use it anymore so. i use malwearbytes now idk if there is any advanced ones for free idk i red reviews on the best on you showed and didnt look that great

Compared to Windows Defender to Kaspersky free, Kaspersky only uses low system resources. And it's also awesome.❤

no cause they will cancelling each others letting you without protection, you can only run one anti virus at a time

Strange kaspersky not the list
It has always been the best and probably still is, but with the current political climate, people are wary of using it.
Not strange! Its headquarters are in Russia.
Use ya brain. Does Russia ring a bell
yeah because people are afraid ro use it due to Russia and stuff. And I don't know if there is a free plan too.
What's the difference? Russian companies sell data, and so does everyone else. Your point has no meaning.

Not noticed that Bitdefender doesn't boot up on regular basis or shuts itself down on frequent basis.
