Sure it's heaven? I mean... you're still watching shitty videos on YT. Absolutely sure they didn't pull one on you and you're actually a few floors deeper?
People who dont like this technique are missing the point. The man is giving you one option of how to deal with a rifle to your back. He did not say it was perfect but come a day when a real rifle is in your back this way may be the only option you have.
I am a former Special Operations soldier, I can tell you that there are many ways to disarm a target against a pistol, knife or rifle. The real trick is to get your head and body out of the possible bullet path. Speed and accuracy are severely important and muscle memory plays an important part...practice practice, practice. If anyone has a question you can contact me on FB by searching Sean Rick. I was a hand to hand instructor for various specialized units. With what I believe is about to happen in our country , I do not mind teaching or advising fellow patriots.,,,,The more sweat in training, the less blood in combat !
I totally agree with your statement : "get your head and body out of the possible bullet path". Fact is, he doesn't do that, he only restricts his chance of survival by only using his hand to veered off the possible bullet path. So he only relies on the hope he will be faster than his attacker. Don't you think he could "step out" (sorry, English is not my strong point) the possible bullet path at the same time he veers off the possible bullet path in order to increase his chances of survival ?
I think this is one the most reliable video about disarming someone with a rifle! It’s quick and simple, just what you need in case the situation happens!
Excellent advice. I appreciate your demonstration and your pause & demonstrate methods. Finally, someone who knows what he is talking about and knows how to transfer the information. Hoo rah! Thanks.
Believe it or not, your response can be faster than your assailant's trigger pull. It's about the reaction time it takes for them to A) process that you're resisting, B) decide to shoot in response, C) send command to finger to pull trigger, D) actually pull the trigger. All that can take up to .5-.6 seconds, which is a very narrow window to get out of the way of the barrel, but not impossible. That's why you train. Also why you want to keep the person as relaxed as possible.
what do you who is gonna stick a barrel to you kill someone up close or from a Distance but if they right there close to you you've got a better chance if there far Idk lmao
I've seen a lot of gun defenses, but I haven't seen these before. Most of the rifle defenses I use involve trying to throw the opponent. It’s nice to see other options. I will be adding them to my curriculum. Great vid! Thanks a lot!
Like judo etc. If u r a fighter, uknow this will work. It will because u will practice it 1000 or so times and then keep up on it. Its not instant youtube instruction. This man is giving u awesome tips u should experiment and then from your extensive experience talk the talk.
I don't know this man but I can tell he practiced this for years. This is actually very effective for untrained hostage takers but still risky. I'm a big chicken so I can't do this. :V
Yeah if it's your last option or if your "going for a ride" in a vehicle do it.....you have nothing to loose. Usually you should never willingly let them take you in a vehicle because it rarely ends well since now they can take you somewhere more seclusion.
There are many legit videos however with that said, one needs to find what is suitable for his or her needs and capabilities. A person can practice spinning a quarter from a clockwise spin and another person can master it from the counter-clockwise spin...nice analogy right? But it works either way ! Find you Niche and go for it but do not overload your brain with a million techniques, find a few that you are good at and again...practice, practice and more practice. Good luck everyone !
Charles Laures both, no bad guy in iraq is dumb enough to stick his barrel in the back of a soldier and no bad guy will leave a "prisoner" uncuffed and go with a picknic with him, this shit is for hollywood movies only.
True but like any form of combat, practice it to death and it may prevent your own. I'm a fellow soldier in the British Army and if Basic training taught me anything, is that Practicing to much isn't a thing.. Because when it comes right down to it We Human beings can do amazing things when faced with death sometimes it's unbelievable.
Anyone reading this, there's lots of instructional videos for self defense, many are bullshit, but this guy is legit, I know his videos for a long time, always top legit techniques. The key is to practice so much it becomes instinct, stay safe y'all
+Silver Mirai This is crap. No offense, but this will get you killed. There is no safe way to disarm obviously, but this guy did not cover NEAR enough to make it effective. The guy you are disarming would have to basically let go of his gun for this to work. Plus if he is wearing a should strap terrible idea. (disarms when the guy has a shoulder strap is a bad idea period no matter the technique.. lol) Main point should not be getting his gun it should be getting the gun out of the way so you can fight him. One hand should be grabbing the gun, and the other hand should be hitting him in the nose bringing tears to his eyes blurring his vision and staggering him if you get a good hit. ThIs gives you time to either get your knife out or to then take his gun away. This guy has a good basic idea of what to do, but his training has made him blind to the realistic way of how things work. Not saying i know how to do things perfectly, but my way would work much better then what he has shown you. Either way can get you killed. Neither way is fool proof, and both was there is a chance that you won't get the gun or you won't do what you were meaning to do and you will then most likely die. If you ever do get a gun in your face think it out first. Don't just blindly try to get his gun. That will get you killed or shot.
Silver Mirai I don't blame you. I am just some guy on the internet lol, but you should think about these things. Use your head and think "What can go wrong here, and what can i do to fix that?"
oh man this brings me back, way back. this amazing human being right here used to teach actual ninjutsu on RUclips, chosunninja. but because of the way people behave on the internet, childish and out of control like Neanderthals at a fancy dinner party, he chose to stop sharing his techniques with the world. deeming the internet unworthy and lacking enough discipline to earn the privilege. so many people constantly harassed him and his students, wannabe narutos and bruce lee's tried to discredit him and made every attempt to bury this man in the dirt. all for no reason other than jealousy and spite. the world misses you Chosun-sensei
+Anthony Jimison i have trained Aikido in ca. 5-6 years years. i can´t say that im realy good xD but i know how to defend my self. so Aikido works good for me :P
+Anthony Jimison The funny thing is that this is a load of bs. A person will not let go the easy. Not to mention if you are surrounded as was one of the scenarios in the video a disarm is a terrible idea. You grab the gun and someone is going to shoot you. Probably wouldn't get to the next step before you get shot. It would might work if you were in a large group of people in that scenario, but you should be working on getting behind the guy during the disarm to use him as cover from the other enemy soldiers. On a one on one situation i would not grab his gun as the second step. I would personally Move the barrel break his nose with my left hand then go for the disarm. (or perhaps a flip depending on the size and position of said enemy) This video is a good way to get killed. The first disarm might work, but that is a huge might. (i did like how he was trying to keep things simple though. This would work great against someone who doesn't have any form of training. So against a thug it would be a good idea, but against a soldier i would go for something different.) Use what ever you think would work best. I just think this would be a terrible way of doing things.. (plus if they have a shoulder strap on you're screwed.)
Saberhap If its one guy its very differant, I was meaning with a large group. Plus a lot of things can happen even if its one guy. It really depends on who has the gun.
I was typing the exact same thing but saw your comment. You're right, if someone gets that close to you, they're definitely not trained to maintain control of the situation, or rifle.
all these videos of people disarming firearms are bullshit. anyone with a shred of sense isn't going to fire point blank, they are going to have at least 6 feet of distance from you. do a legit disarm from a distance somehow and then i'll be impressed.
First of all yes your are right however As a Krav Maga Teacher and instructor these scenarios are designed for close range combat /defense only. So they are only applicable at close range. From a distance there are no options.

well........he DID say that the barrel was pressed against the back....not pointed at it....sorta like when the un troops start roaming OUR streets...good stuff to know thanks for the vid!
Your typical thug or criminal or anyone without training do not follow or understand common sense firearms techniques. Watch Active Self Protection videos. 20 feet, that as a general rule is considered the threshold for a safe distance. You might be surprised how quickly 20 feet becomes 0 feet, and a knife wielding attacker has closed the distance before a shot is taken.
Thug wouldn't use a rifle to rob, but with a pistol, but they need to stay close, not because they don't know the training but they have to, if you are too far, the thug can't grab your wallet or phone, and might grab alot of attention to himself doing so if you are far from him
Welp, I learn something new every day I guess! It does make sense... the controlled mag feed ensures that the round seats correctly. As for the your second part: I'd agree with you! Looks like something that can be done on a movie set and nowhere else.
I agree with you about "PRACTICE/TRAINING" so the techniques you learn and imply will become muscle memory". In this situation, a seasoned infantryman would have the trigger speed to kill the enemy as soon as movement is observed. This scene to me is "optimal" conditions, in the sense the soldier is too close and slow to react. In combat any movement after I say "don't move" as soon as the hand moved, trigger pulled and combatant stopped.
I would suggest turning left for the rifle-in-the-back scenario, because spent casings usually eject to the right in most firearms. So in the event the rifle does discharge, you wont get hit with hot brass
@ 1:27 "IF you feel really uncomfortable.....make a kick to the groin" LOL! I can't imagine anyone not feeling really uncomfortable with a rifle barrel stuck in their backs.
I always have my rifle ready so not so good for the bad guy that got bold enough. But if i was held up. Thanks for the good training can be worked into army combative training. You never stop learning
i've used this technique with snap caps and home made primer only blanks, never had one go off when it was against my back, same thing with gun against head, it takes longer for a person to react than you think
In the army, in basic training, we had to determine our 'sighting eye'. This is done from the prone position with a partner looking directly down the barrel. The point: there are times when it is necessary to point a weapon at something you don't intent to shoot.
exactly. when it's literally life or death, and death is certain otherwise, fighting back is better than dying. especially if your keepers are dumb enough to get close enough for this to happen. people dont realize it, but when someone is this close to you with a firearm, with a little practice, it is so easy to disarm an individual. just because you have a gun, it still takes a 3rd of a second to react. it takes less time to act first.
what you want to do is back up and feel the tip in your back, reaching around with your hand is more likely to make them think you are trying to take it from them
I have read all your comments and think that what you say makes a lot of sense. Putting up resistance or even dying on your own terms beats a death by torture any day. This is something to resolve yourself to prior to being captured. Also, anyone who's a shooter understands how hard it is in reality to hit a moving target. Especially as the distance increases.
Yea , easy to do it in slow motion , but try to do it rapidly in a situation of stress , and knowing that your enemy will not stand still waiting for you to dis-weapon him , but he will resist and maybe counter-attack , so it become more difficult with these conditions .
"How to defend yourself against a Rifle" Don't piss off the shooter.
Or ya know, just talk, and throw a knife at a guy, take the rifle and kill everyone!
LOL, bring a knife to a gun fight.
get body armor
Bank It I read it as piss on him

what? u put a rifle to somebody and they used that technique on you and ur in heaven? sounds like that technique worked well then :)
People who dont like this technique are missing the point. The man is giving you one option of how to deal with a rifle to your back. He did not say it was perfect but come a day when a real rifle is in your back this way may be the only option you have.
Sadik Meah absolutley!!!

Firearms are distance weapons. Who the hell is going to stick a barrel into you?
what do you who is gonna stick a barrel to you kill someone up close or from a Distance but if they right there close to you you've got a better chance if there far Idk lmao
CalculusVariations99 Home invaders?
school shooters who want to leave the area when police arrive?
They should rename this "how to get murdered with a rifle".

Yeah it will work try to practice it Quickly I Learn this technique I'm trained kung fu everyday myself at home

I never knew a gun would fire in the direction it's pointed, this guy has the best tips.
This dude always looks smooth when doin this

Ok Rambo, It does not work like that in the Middle east.
Nah, they're total newbs.
+certified30 which doesn't work that way? The attack or the defense?

You guys do fucking know that criminals can also have access to rifles
certified30 hahahah LMAO fucking halirous
when you practice enough, your reactions become second nature.

Still it's pretty badass :P You would need to practice pratice practice just like any other martial art to make it become natural and develop speed
MegaYangman True. Especially if you find yourself in this life or death position.
thank you for the tip on rifle disarms
Thank you officers. Thank you
Was not expecting that voice lol
Asian John Wane
Thanks, I needed that.
Really top shelf. Shows what can be accomplished with proper training, male or female.
I have to disagree with him when he talks about using the rifle to take out multiple opponents, it would only work if it's automatic.
This video is kinda geared for a last ditch effort
Anyone reading this, there's lots of instructional videos for self defense, many are bullshit, but this guy is legit, I know his videos for a long time, always top legit techniques.

Nice work, i am going to practice that, looks amazing but simple..
Very cool! Thanks for helping.
alright... awesome... and now to find a situation like this to put myself in...
"At any time, if you feel uncomfortable...."
Yeah...someone having a gun to my back tends to make me a tad uncomfortable.
ha totally true, in fact we were told it would definitely fire upside down

I agree about not dying by not trying.
In sutch situations it doesnt matter, you just take controll asap and do what is needed.
Good disarm tips.
West better than most other videos On here thanks
Depends on how mentaly prepared you are for the situation.
The best defence in this situation is to be really nice to the gunman and do what ever he says.
i've used this technique with snap caps and home made primer only blanks, never had one go off when it was against my back, same thing with gun against head, it takes longer for a person to react than you think
feel that tip.
This is going to be really useful next time I'm traveling to the USA
This guy is a genius
He's a ninja.
Trollin to da max
gotta love it
True, but that's why when you snatch the gun you best immediately hit them with either the barrel or the stock of the gun and disarm them.
this is super useful, thankfully i have no use for this knowledge
It worked!! Nice one :)
Cool! I really like his videos.
this guy is a master at fighting lol
That and the fact that the bazooka is an out dated piece of WW2 history.
Thanks for the video. Cool
Notice that they cut out before he finished saying "God bless"
And don't forget to have a co-operative opponent.
I'll definitly use this once...
Magic, that's how.
''I feel the tip.'' She said.
I wish you were the instructor for combative class back at basic
i like how the category is under entertainment
In the army, in basic training, we had to determine our 'sighting eye'. This is done from the prone position with a partner looking directly down the barrel. The point: there are times when it is necessary to point a weapon at something you don't intent to shoot.

This is a good tip against a shooting like what happened in las vegas shooting.
Me and my twin brother studyed Ninjutsu, together -for many years. This was originally used as defens against a sword or spear (e.g)
It's not called being afraid. But this might always come in handy.
Damn, I keep forgetting that, I always end up grabbing my own groin.
what you want to do is back up and feel the tip in your back, reaching around with your hand is more likely to make them think you are trying to take it from them
I have read all your comments and think that what you say makes a lot of sense. Putting up resistance or even dying on your own terms beats a death by torture any day. This is something to resolve yourself to prior to being captured.

Once you feel that tip...
Yea , easy to do it in slow motion , but try to do it rapidly in a situation of stress , and knowing that your enemy will not stand still waiting for you to dis-weapon him , but he will resist and maybe counter-attack , so it become more difficult with these conditions .
