- Luckily I was able to find The Chapel Hill home that Folk singer James Taylor lived in from ages 3 to 18. His father got a job as a doctor at UNC and eventually became Dean of UNC's school of Medicine, and this is the home they lived in during that time. Actually his song Copperline is about growing up on Morgan Creek RD. My Mom and I were able to walk around and get a look at the house. It was on sale for 1.6 million and I thought it sold at auction, but seems to still be vacant.
Wow, I'd always wanted to see JT 's family house... I had seen pics of it in books and music magazines..thank you for the video, man!! Great job!!
Id like to go back and see if it is occupied now. Thank you!
@@relicman >Please do! And let us know about it...thank you!!!
I'm young but I know his songs he's a good singer great video happy birthday to you
Thank you so much! I like James Taylor's songs as well. I always remembered they used to play Carolina in my mind at Panther games.
Rob's Relics your welcome
Great video! I've been by here before but it was occupied. Lived in Chapel Hill over 20yrs. Any property there in general is very expensive. Esp close to UNC. I lived right up the road from Coach Smith for over 8yrs out in the country area by the Chatham Co. line about 15-20 mins from UNC and property even that far out is off the charts!
My oldest son now lives in a town nearby. We tried to find the house, but it was down a private lane, and we just couldn't see it.
Yeah we just got lucky because it being for sale at the time.
I wonder how much it would go for or if someone has bought it and if the guesthouse is torn down~who knows? Rampant development around here esp recently~
It's the land so close to UNC 22-23 acres!
I don't know. I'd love to do a follow up. I did this back in 2017.
I'd live there
im sure you would lol!
Disappointed. THere's termites in that soil. I hope that wood is treated. Hill slopes toward house in back.
Have you ever got in trouble for trespassing? lol
No, I've been lucky. I always try and be somewhat careful.
