It's eerie, this song invokes so many memories for me. Not just recollections of Home Movies, but of youth and adolescence in general. It says so much without saying anything at all.
Been coming here for 15 years to re inject this when i needed it. Im turning 31 in a few months. your right. It has a magic that transcends understanding and it gathers everyone back to times and places so well, its haunting. There are certain things like this that are almost in a way all a kind of nostalgic horecrux that can return the soul when needed. Its so crazy. Just look at everyone here for this one background song...
Makes me remember those nights growing up. Being with my friends until the sun goes down, just floating between places to hangout or playing Halo 3 after school or on the weekends. Back in high school where life kinda sucked at home but I still found a place to belong and be myself. You gotta remember to not let that go when you get older. I appreciate finding this little tune again and being reminded to keep living authentically in that place where I belong.
Man, what a song. Really creates that mood of a sunset. An eerily humble reflective feeling, when you're ready to move on, drive home and get ready for tomorrow after a long day.
I am here another generation later, and I miss the times when I used to try to catch these episodes just to record a certain song on VHS during the end credits. Something about this is a stable of my childhood. I missed this. I really feel the dread in society today, and just want to feel this carefree moment again, back when Home Movies was my favorite show on television, staying up late at night just to catch those tunes Brandon Small concocted..
Nah I don't think it's his dreams being crushed as much as it's and ending to an era and him growing up.you could tell he wasn't that broken up about it.and I do think they will get together....love that show
So I watched this show as a kid/preteen, then grew up and got into metal. Obviously I became a Metalocalypse fan and now when I go back and watch old Home Movies episodes I really see the metal influence. You can definitely see the seeds of Metalocalypse in this show. Freakin classic.
there is something about brendon small, he is such a perfect representation of the modern genuine guy. i dont think i can really describe it better. he just has such a good heart and its nice to see that some people still value being as sincere as they can be.
I know that this is ''just a tv show'' or as people say it is but it's a part of my life. Brendon Small is so amazing so is pretty much all of the others. I want my child to be just like Brendon if I have one but for now, that'll have to wait.
This show speaks to me in a way that very few others do. The ending of it hits me hard as fuck and honestly makes me cry. I relate so much to Brendon, I was the same exact way as a kid except I was taping stuff with a four track instead of recording things with a camera.
This song really touches my heart and makes me wanna be a kid again. When, like Brendon, Jason, and Marrisa, I had no real worries. All they really had to worry about was growing up.
This song is so great. It's like Weird Fishes from Radiohead, it's all one crecendo and then right when it's about to break into something huge, it just stops. Awesome.
The last episode was such a cliff hanger. Was the his camera being run over a sign of his dreams being crushed (if you remember their discussion prior too)? I may be really over thinking it but, OH MY GOD IT LEFT ME THINKING. Is Paula and McGuirk finally getting together?
Its been 10 years but i read somewhere saying that the camera breaking ment that he wasn't emotionally conflicted with his families divorce anymore. His father gave him the camera as a way to cope with the divorce so it makes sense that he kept it by his side as a way to keep his mind off on what happned. McGuirk, his mother, and his friends also ended up helping him overcome his problems as they can all be seen together in the car.
@@perk_a_licious6506 I don't buy it because Brendon clearly has had the camera since he was pretty young, and he obviously has a real interest in film making. Like, yeah, maybe, but it seems like a weak theory from my perspective

Brendon Small took a Low Production value show and made it the very essence of what life is about.

Everything you said resonates with me to a tee. I feel you. It was definitely a peaceful time listening to this song on a VHS tape.

I just watched this episode today. I remembered it being funny, but the end really just reminds me of being a kid.
Long story short, I love this show.

I feel tears crying into me whenever I hear this
Perfect. Just perfect.
Life keeps going, the memories remain though
This one hits hard, pops op on my mind every once in a while
For a while this was my song I’d listen to after a long day at work while I’d smoke out on the back porch, transcendent
i really want those tabs so bad i cant stand it just such an outstandind song and everything aboutt he show!
Strong chords and really good song.
This song really touches my heart and makes me wanna be a kid again. When, like Brendon, Jason, and Marrisa, I had no real worries. All they really had to worry about was growing up.
this song is great i stay up at 2 in the morning to wartch this show

this hits hard mane
I like how home movies quality looked in the first few episodes. But then it got all ADVANCE in quality. But the show is still awesome and HILARIOUS!!
this song represents how much we miss the old times of just being a child and being a kid how those times flew
Dude, this hits me like old school Pedro the Lion. Absolutely S tier
my favorite scene from my favorite episode! Dwayne got the girl and was the best musician at the show!

I've been looking for this piece forever. Thank you for this!
Really wish I could find an isolated recording of the "bus guitar theme" at the end of "Class Trip".
ME TOO! HAVE YOU FOUND ONE IN THE PAST 6 YEARS?
@@jadenrobertshaw3545 same!!
I downloaded all the music of this show just to find certain ones
@pblenski
man thats excatly right. I couldnt of said it better. Your a true Home Movies fan.
I know Brendon is pretty successful making metal but damn I wanna hear a Brendon Small emo album now.
Same.
he’s got those twinkly guitars down pat if brendon’s camera was stretched into an actual song it could be an emo anthem
This isn't emo, it's emotional
Honestly, his music in Home Movies is a thousand times better than Metalocalypse.
so many comments on this song by people who think it's the final song of the show lol
This was in s2 not when brennan dropped his camera
this show was meant for all of us who were kids once that stayed up late to watch frfr
Really good song.
so good
I Love This Song So Much!!!!!!
This feels like a much more emotional version of the transitioning song used for Dr. Katz.
Fenton is something
Did any other Dr. Katz fans notice that they re-used a drum set/loop from that show for this track?
@HomeMoviesSongs If you can upload them, that would awesome!
I love home Movies.
aw this reminds me of the series fianle of Home Movies =(
He's not dead, if you see him in some episodes., you'll see he's a busy man
This sounds so much like something I would hear from my favorite band Modest Mouse.
