Besides, the drum controller is factory-configured to have precise timings anyway. I did the same thing on my HORI mini controller to play Project Diva Future Tone, as I just disabled the button FX sounds and left the slide FX sounds intact.

Are the aftermarket sticks worth getting at all? I'm really considering getting this game with the drum, and I'm not sure if I'll need the aftermarket sticks or not. I'm afraid the wood will damage the rubber on the drum.
@@梓川咲太-d7p They won't damage the drum, but you won't need them, they'll act just the same as supplied the ones. They're only really needed when playing on an arcade drum where bringing your own sticks is common sense as the supplied ones are more worn out and generally unhygienic.

However if someones realky into taiko no tatsujin and they're getting the big, high quality and expensive drum (kinda fanmade, much higher quality than this and I forgot what it's called) then it is strongly reccomended to get a bachi. Since the quality is so good you can just hit the drum once to score multiple hits. Like those triple hits you see. Makes it much more comfortable to play and less tiresome

I think the pressure point on the side for the blue drum is hard to hit. I have had the taiko only since today but I find it difficult. maybe it's just a matter of practice but it annoys me. I will modify it. But it's incredibly fun to play with, and if I hit the hit points of the drum correctly, the songs would be even easier to play as with the keyboard. If you really want to use motion controls though, you can get used to them. Until I get my tatacon I'm using motion controls, and I've got them to work pretty well
Dang, I really need to try the tatacon at some point, it looks like it would be fun. The closest thing i have at the moment is the 3DS game with the touch screen, but sometimes the screen doesnt register when i hit too many notes and i hate to scratch up my touch screen.

With the larger notes, as the person who made the video just said, you generally use both sticks at once in the center of the drum for big red notes and on the edges of the drum for big blue. But, if you want to go faster, you can only hit it with one stick. You will only get half the points, but it still counts it.

Like Hatty said, it doesn't matter. Though it's much preferable to switch sides often so that you put equal amount of effort into both hands so you don't strain just one arm
I just with these controllers could roll and it wasn’t almost necessary to mod them. It’s the only thing keeping me from buying one, so I just stick with DualShock 4

Advice: don't use the motion controls for harder songs! They're pretty hard to control so you miss a lot of notes. Try using buttons or touchscreen.
If you really want to use motion controls though, you can get used to them. Until I get my tatacon I'm using motion controls, and I've got them to work pretty well
