I don't spend much money on joining groups, clubs etc... BUT, I'll be joining your yearly subscription today. Brilliant, Thank you Ted. We very much look forward to welcoming you as a member. We agree with exactly what you said we usually try to have each video on the channel to have 45% education ( how and why ), 45% fishing action, 8% scenery and location and 2% intro/outro and asking to support the channel by becoming a member. Again look forward to welcoming you as a member and hope you enjoy the content and competitions on there
Stay local and stay warm ….. Good advice, left Melbourne gone to lake Tyers to fish … 2 days donuts, lake bottom very quiet, Nowa to devils hole best described as green slime…. And port Phillip bay is producing, well done gentlemen.
Yeah agreed on the stay local and stay warm. Last year I did a crazy amount of ks travelling half the state and realised some of my best fishing sessions were 10 min down the road. Although i did love the travel. Gippsland and tyers is epic in the warmer months
I just came back from lake tyers. Beach fishing got brilliant salmon. Back towards lakes entrance, just before service station past caravan park. Use bluebait from lakes entrance tackle shop, not that overpriced crap at lake tyers shop. Opened up the salmon. They had baby mullet in their stomach. About the size of an index finger. Explained why i outfished those using pippis and squid.
Hi there Allan , mate you getting better and better , you doing a great job of teaching people😁 myself and 15yo too, mate are there any good ramps near williamstown , we have 5metre boat, you can come out to mate😎
Thanks 👍 i really appreciate the kind feedback. The only ramps near Williamstown is the Warmies which is great for small boats and altona. both only take a few minutes to get to Altona once on the water
Thanks for the great work Alan. I noticed you first used the "Purple Death", just wondering if it was as effective as your other video where you caught loads of fish on your kayak using this soft plastic?
Yes its a brilliant coloured soft plastic, it mimics a baitfish so well and is very effective on salmon, snook, flathead and pinkies. I also like it in UV pink for a few other species like redfin and snapper. On this vid it only accounted for a few fish
Hey Alan, great video with a variety of nice catches. Where abouts in port Phillip roughly are you fishing ? Would really appreciate it. Cheers and happy fishing!
Hello Alan, I was just at Werrbiee South this weekend for some landbased fishing but didnt have much luck though. Has winter made it harder for landbased fishing ? Some nice action there great work 🖒
Yeah winter is the toughest time for fishing, it can be slow. But you can also have some great sessions as there is less fishing pressure. Land base around Werribee pretty tough at the moment. Have you been fishing of the rockwall
Tried the rockwall with some small soft plastics, there was also another block which used bait but again same story. Also tried the boat ramps and the river but nothing i guess it was one of those trips.
Hello Alan, I've been fishing a land based spot near Geelong and occasionally noticed flocks of seagulls dipping into the water about 50m or so out. I seen your Salmon bust up vid from 2019 and was wondering if this is likely to be Salmon chasing small fish to the surface or could it be something else? I tried to throw a Halco twisty through the area but no takers, this was at night if that makes a difference.
Very likely that its salmon, last week I was on the boa on 2 occasions where birds were smashing the water all in one spot when we arrived there was salmon and baitfish everywhere. On one occasion they wouldn't take anything on the other occasion a fish a cast. But pretty confident it would be a big bait ball and salmon.

Hey Alan, great video with a variety of nice catches. Where abouts in port Phillip roughly are you fishing ? Would really appreciate it. Cheers and happy fishing!
Covered lots of ground in this one, Altona, Werribee, Portarlington, St leoanards, and a bit in between.
Hi Alan, Enjoying all your videos, can I ask what boat ramp you launched from?
100% launched from Werribee boat ramp
