Finally I found someone who explain so nicely. Im beginner to sewing but the way you explained makes it so easy to understand. Thanks a million! Im gonna try now...Yea!!!!!!
Great video and your instructions were very clear. But everyone doesn't have a serger. Especially a novice dressmaker. but I learned how to make a nice neckline and your method of doing the facings was excellent.
I did make this one but out of a sheet... I wasn't realizing sheets aren't as stretchy as your material... I'm going to add a zipper. Just saw another one of your videos where you comment to make sure you add 3 inches on the waist to not have to use a zipper. You are gorgeous and the dress was super easy and awesome to do!!! Thank you sew much!!!
thanks, Wendy:) yeah I use stretchy fabrics because it removes the hassle of adding a zipper. Im glad you liked my video and found it helpful. Make sure to subscribe I upload new video on a weekly basis and follow me on Instagram to see pics of my creations, looks and much more :) Thank you for watching and have an epic day :)
hi, i'm not sure if you'll be able to reply now but i want to know the thread and the needle you used in sewing stretch fabrics like this... thanks in advance.
Hi, Firstly , it's a great video. May I ask one question, How comes you did not cut the polyester fabric to the exact same size of the tube. Is it because the polyester fabric has less stretch than the armhole tube top?
I love this dress. I would like to make one but not sure my Singer sewing machine (38 years old) will be able to sew stretch fabric. I would like to buy a new sewing machine. Any idea which make and model of sewing machine would be ideal to sew knits.
love your videos!!! But during the filming of the finishing product can you sweep your hair to the side of lift it so i can see how the straps lay on your shoulders?? Thanks!!!
That maxi dress is so beautiful and you explain every step very well. Really inspiring! Thank you so much! I did this one in a bright yellow for summer. When I tried it on it fell perfect BUT: my side seams pucker and it looks very ugly...what is the trick here for smooth dress side seams? I am so disappointed. ..;(
you may want to check your stitch length and tension on your machine. if to close or tight for the type of fabric you are using, seams will pucker on any item you make. Adjust them and test on scrap of the same fabric. When you flip the test seam open, it should lay flat if you get the settings right. Just a tip, not trying to butt in.
I see where you stated you used a stretchy polyester fabric. I am new at sewing, can this maxi be made from jersey or rayon. Please give examples of what type of fabric I am looking for in the fabric stores? Which one will make it fall pretty and what width should I be looking for 60" or is 40" ok.
Great dress and great teacher!!! thank you very much!
Thanks :)

Loron Calloway Of course just a tip! ;) I did not understand it any different. so my stitch might to be longer? I had it at 2. too short then?
Yes. Try 3 and if still to tight to lay flat, check ur tension setting. :)
