Yo everyone! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and got the best presents ever! Looking forward to more years of adventure :) 2019 will be insane! Don't forget to follow me on Instagram @steveronin and also join the Ronins group page on Facebook! Link in description!
Thank you for sharing your video! I wonder what they used the building for. That Chapel was awesome and the small rooms make me wonder if it was a Monastery or something. What do you think?
Just watched this video as I was angry U Tube took down your video you uploaded for today. Had been looking forward to it for the last few days. Great explore as always.
I loved the music ! This mansion looks like a sanatorium, a rehabilitation center or so. The chapel was nice. I wonder whether someone will restore it before it decays completeley. Keep on !
It looks as though it was converted into a monastery and/or religious retreat house. The single sinks in the individual rooms led me to that conclusion. Plus, the wings of the building appear to have been built much later than the center portion of the complex. Nice explore. I look forward to the next one. 😎 p.s. My notification bell was still on and this video was in my notifications queue.
These places are so beautiful, yet it’s sad to see them in this state. Thank you Steve, you are not just an urban explorer, but you are a preserver of history. Without people like you we would never be able to appreciate places like this before they are gone forever
WOW! This huge old mansion is just gorgeous, hopefully it’s put on a heritage listing and renovated by someone. Thanks Steve, another amazing explore! Happy 2019, and all the best. Stay safe 🥂🎉🎊
I love that you give some of the history of the places you explore! That is actually such an important part of these videos and there are few that take the time to find out what history is available about them. Living in a home that is 137 yrs old kinda makes it inevitable.
Oh that chapel is something else. Seeing it through that round window was great. The ceiling is fantastic. That yellow hallway and the blue ceiling was beautiful. the serene beauty of this place was great to see. Thank you.
It shows what a talent you are as I hadn’t realised I had seen the place before until I spotted one single item! Then I realised another RUclips went before you! Then you kicked them to the curb as they couldn’t climb the tower! It wasn’t about the climb (which was cool in its own way) but the fact you took the same building and showed it through new and different eyes 💋 xx
Once again a really nice soundtrack, especially the piano at the beginning and in the choir loft (where you were moving the pew for your camera shot), and some nice percussion and plucked strings when you were visiting the 2nd floor. There should have been a switch to turn the organ on, but who knows whether or not it would have actually powered up. Loved the bonus tower exploration; you're getting to see some brilliant architecture. Thanks!!
Got a notification here in Massachusetts Steve. Nice video, so many rooms, to bad the owner had to let the place go. Loved the stained windows, Church and Choir. However you made me very nervous climbing up and down that ladder! Be safe and Thank You !🎄🎇🎉⛪ Happy New Year !
Beverly Bair this would be a great place for either homeless people or just people in need in general who need a place to stay. It’s a shame it’s going to waste. So much potential
Also to all the naysayers; it was a millionaires mansion, built for a famous songwriter around the turn of the century. It was later purchased by a sect of the Catholic Church, but their leader was disgraced after being accused of sexually molesting boys and fathering children. It was being proposed for development into palatial condominium’s not too long ago.
It’s in New York. It was originally built for Billy Rose and has been called Rose Hill in the past. I’d attach his photo, but you can just google his name.
Why do the rooms have numbers on the doors like it was a hotel or something? There is also sinks in alot of the rooms. Doesnt look anything like a private residence
I love the place. Especially the view from the top of the chapel. Thank you Steve for taking us there. I get scared as you climb the high tower. Just be careful always 💗💗
Great video Iloved it! If I were you I would inlarge those cool pictures of all these old places and resin coat them and show them on desplay. Your capturing history!
So I just checked my notifications and found it had been switched from all to occasional and I know I didn't change it to that. This also explains how i missed your last three videos. Thanks RUclips for messing with the notifications. Now I'm going to have to double check every single channel I subscribe to so I can find out if you've screwed with them also. Again way to go.
This and the video for King's Park are the first video notifications I've seen from you in a long time. I just figured you were taking the holidays off. I'm glad to see you back, and that I have some catching up to do. Love your videos
What a fabulous place ..could be turned into a fabulous hotel ..mind you Steve I would not climb the ladder..I am scared of heights lol..but was a really fab find ..great walk through..Happy New Year 😀
I can only imagine the absolute beauty of this place in its heyday! Someone very rich and important lived there! 300 rooms. Wow. Ps...omg u had me so terrified for u while climbing up the shady tower. Sheww
Wow that ladder you climbed was so scary. I would have never climbed it I am too chicken. This is the first I have seen of your videos. I really like these. I like to think of what went on when these places were occupied. I am glad I found this site.
I only came across your site a few days ago, & instantly subbed as I love watching exploration of abandoned homes (especially spooky, possibly haunted ones lol). Have you ever come across a house which you loved so much where you thought maybe to try & claim squatters rights to by taking over & sprucing it up as your own project? X
For the life of me I will never understand why wealthy people insists on proving their wealth by the size of the home they live in. It is literally ridiculous to have 300 bedrooms or even 30 unless you have a huge family. Half the rooms in their homes they probably never even use. This place was exactly what I was talking about. Ironically, I didn't observe one bathroom. Lots of sinks, no toilets or showers? Odd! I can see why this particular place has been abandoned. It was a whole lot of ugliness. Nothing but long halls and lots of bedrooms. I assume. Offices, maybe. Not sure what this place ever was? Except huge and ugly. But, regardless thank you Steve for risking your life going up that very sketchy ladder. I wouldn't have gone up that thing for anyone. Happy you didn't die from falling or shock. Thank you for sharing!! P€a¢€~n~£0v€
Hey Steve from near Kansas City Missouri. Love your videos and explores! My bell was not on for some reason? Hmmm? Can I say a RUclips error? Be careful on your explores When you climb it gave me chills. Hope you continue in your explores as I cannot wait for the next one to be posted.
Howdy Trish. Just noticed someone from Mo on this channel.I live in Jeff. Steve is great. Just found him yesterday. Sorry to bother you. In this big blue world to find someone that close.. Lol.. Sorry if I bothered you.
Thanks, got notification watching here in Hongkong😊 A lot of homeless people, why the government don't gave it to them and let them take care of the place, rather than to decay the mansion,in that way they can restore the place.
So many rooms to be a mansion. Looks like it could have been converted into a retirement home or sanatorium especially with the chapel and what looked like crafting rooms. Odd that it is so secluded but I can imagine how beautiful this must have been in it's prime. Wonder who the original owner was and the history behind this beautiful structure.
Yoooo follow urbex and chill and check out his instagram instagram.com/urbexandchill?igshid=1cgrkgkwzb88z he supplied the sick drone shots in this video!
Hello Steve, do you have a personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ? The Son of God. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. - Romans 10:9. And please ask the Lord Jesus to bless you with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, and discernment. And please ask the Lord Jesus to forgive you for all of your sins and transgressions.
As much as I liked this video it's not an abandoned millionaires mansion. This was part of the Catholic church. The church has a habit of abandoning huge elaborate properties.
If this is a private mansion, why do the rooms have numbers on the doors? There is also exit signs, fire extinguishers and sinks in alot of the rooms. It was most likely an orphanage, private hospital or something?
Thank you for this incredible sightseeing tour, or adventure 😉 It’s a really mansion. But you don’t know who were living in it? I can’t believe it, that people can live in a mansion with more than 300 rooms. For what and for which kind of art of people? It looks like a Hotel. From the outside I was remembered by the movie Shining. Uahhh and this was already big 😀 I only can say Wow Wow and once more Wow. Always magnificent Lost Places. Hope, you have an answer for me, which people there a lives. I am only interested. See you soon on your next spectacular and highlights.
Mr Steve. .this building looks like an old seminary ... the structure or layout of the rooms and the big chapel.. or a dormitory run by a religious institute. .

I loved the video

Wow it’s amazing. Sad that it’s left to decay though. Another awesome video Steve. Thanks for taking us on your journey and spectacular photos too
The place was so beautiful. You're doing great. You do alot better then the other guys. Good job!
Once again a really nice soundtrack, especially the piano at the beginning and in the choir loft (where you were moving the pew for your camera shot), and some nice percussion and plucked strings when you were visiting the 2nd floor. You were more brave than Josh. He didn't climb the tower..lol! Awesome vid and great music!
Josh made is sound like it was a little board he had to walk across, but it wasnt lol! what a puss

That place is really cool. Thanks for filming it!
I can't get over how sad it is that places like this are just going to waste..Shame.

This is the Our Lady of Mount Kisco Retreat for woman. Its on the top of our still to explore list. Great job!
Your content is fantastic. So well produced !
23:18 that tower looks like a water-tower. And then those builders thought ... whatever .. lets also turn it into a lookout 😉
The backsound music in the opening is awesome with the lovely shot of this place... Yr videos are amazing, Steve 👍👍
Great video. That chapel was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I love the respect you have for the places you explore,
You still find this house in Google-Maps with "the cenacle armonk new york". The demolition of the house was completed as of June 2019. Its gone ... 😁
I would loved to have seen this place in it’s prime! ❤️

You take me places I could never go!! Thanks!!!!!

Such a huge house so beautiful but the place and house are abandoned how sad 😞
Great like always 👌🏽 happy new year 🎉
Weightlifting gloves might have helped prevent hurting your hands when you were climbing and descending the metal ladder. Great video.

Steve "Start from the top and work our way from the bottom" Ronin
Happy New Year Steve! Wow! I love the old Churches. Simply gorgeous. That tower was cool. Thank you for making the climb for us. 😄
I love your intro! And of course your videos!
Hello Steve! Sorry I've never commented on one of your videos until now. Love your awesome videos!
Loved it!🐱
The view is breathtaking.
Tower is an old water tower. Saw the pipes and the tank in top of tower.
Good video props on making it 30 min long haha

The intro though 😍😍😍😍😍
As much as I liked this video it's not an abandoned millionaires mansion. This was part of the Catholic church. The church has a habit of abandoning huge elaborate properties.
Thats what I was thinking. It looks more like a private/parochial school. Private residences DO NOT put up lighted exit signs & group showers. DUH!
@@vanessahinds8320 or seminary
Trying to figure out how it was determined there were 300 rooms from the breaker box. 300 circuits maybe? Certainly a lot of rooms for sure.
That tower was scary!
Lmao thought I was watching a Let's Play of Resident Evil @ 19:44
I hope you go back in the summer, great video. ( : 👍🏼
HAPPY NEW YEAR for 2019 Mate
This place is so cool with the layout.
I got the notification;) I'm always curious to see if the hydro and water is on in these places lol
I hope ya have a safe an happy holidays an a happy New Year new a big adventures can't wait
I think this "house" is as big as the town i live in. Crazy shame how it sits there doing nothing.
My bell was on.
Excellent video.
same here
I don't see an empty place.. I see beautiful timber work and how it use to be. Take away the furniture and you really see what the place looks like.
"Theres no Tim's hortons" as I'm drinking a coffee from Tim's watching this video lmao greetings from Toronto, Ontario!!!!
With just a sink in each room it looks like a clinic to me

Mr Steve. .this building looks like an old seminary ... the structure or layout of the rooms and the big chapel.. or a dormitory run by a religious institute. .
It looks like it was being used as a hospital each room having a sink would be patients rooms
lots of love from norway
Move to fast the camera. Slow it down.
Tower appears to be a water tower for the mansion
I got notification. Great video.😉
Hello from Waco Tx.
Holy hell watching you climb down that tower was definetly a butt squeezer lol
Beautiful architecture!
Awesome footage bro 👍🏻
Beside the videos always looking forward for the background music.
