@@hellytoronto not if you properly discipline them from the start and keep on it. When i say discipline i don't mean beat. Yes there are circumstances where you will need to smack/ hit but those should be reserved for extreme situations.

Exactly this one has no chance at all in the wild. Every video I see of it acting this way I want to slap it into next week. They never even try to teach him any type of discipline. It runs the house. It's disgusting to watch it act however it wants and they just laugh.

This is what you get when you don't properly train and discipline them. And for god's sake stop giving them human food especially sweets.. poor diet often leads to diabetes. That said they actually make wonderful pets(macaques, spiders and marmosets NOT CHIMPS!!) You just need to understand what your getting into. They will be utterly dependent on you 24/7 especially for the the first couple of years. The only time it's not going to be either on you or very close by is when theyr in their cage at night(and I always keep it next to my bed. ) While they sleep with mom in the wild it's simply to dangerous to sleep in your bed. Your massively bigger then it is and it's horrifyingly easy to accidentally crush or suffocate them by accidentily rolling over on them. Naturally it's fine if your awake. Anyway my 2 cents

@@hellytoronto no true. I’ve seen hundreds of vids of monkeys in adulthood that act like normal pets. This rat acts this way bc it knows it can do whatever it wants. The owner is the problem and now the owner can live with the mess he created. I hope this parasite chews this guys fingers off. Maybe then he’ll realize what a disaster he’s made.
