    The biggest thing that helped me here is curmel moton’s weight distribution. You can see he is 40/60 on the front to back leg. I was more of a 60/40 heavy front foot. I switched to 40/60 and my jab pops more, im like 2x sharper and faster in my punches, head movement, pendulum step and other footwork. Its crazy how much of a difference the stance can make to your whole game. I feel like I’ve broken past a barrier I was stuck on.
    Especially the pendulum stepping as I knew I had to keep my ankles “locked” in place so I dont use hip motion and extra energy while bouncing, yet I never understood it. With 40/60, my ankles are automatically locked and I feel like im teleporting everywhere 😂

    • @ceckolalovia
      @ceckolalovia Месяц назад +1

      It has to be 50/50 from my experience. Otherwise you have to constantly adjust front to back leg.

      @@ceckolaloviayeah, but the human torso has the tendency to lean forward, even if the feet are 50/50. The torso is straighter and balanced when feet are 40/60. If you look at curmel moton he is 40/60

    Your very tough, curmel moton is picture perfect boxer. he doesnt make any mistakes and his conditioning is top notch plus he's young. when you fight guys like this the bring out the best in yourself, you can easily look at this footage and see your mistakes. the biggest mistake you made was throwing a long jab and then following up with a short left hand. that only works when your the shorter fighter, also being the bigger fighter you made yourself wide when you should have made yourself short, the more narrow your stance is the easier you can step into your punches and turn the should over, the more wide your stance is the less mobile you are, your body is more exposed and takes more time to bring the elbows in to block, head movement is 50 percent of the legs and 50 percent of bending at the waist. its hard to say how much you should stand but I would say you want your stance to be somewhere between 50/50. the wider your stance the less mobile your hips are, you actually generate more power the more narrow you stand, you can easily step your foot in to turn the hip and should and knee. the power comes from the technique not from being wider, fighting is a thinkers game. if you stand too narrow you can easily be knocked off balance, however standing wider provides a strong balance, honestly man your a good boxer it just you do things at wierd times. with those simple adjustments you would find yourself less fatigued, get as many oppurtunities of sparring with this man curmel moton, he understands the science of boxing. do it even if its difficult it will make you a good boxer. a lot of gyms dont have guys on this level, conditioning, technique, athleticism, respect, knowledge of warfare and waging war. he even gave you tips! and lightened up on you
    .he's a great sparring partner and I would definitely rewatch this footage as much as you can.

    Bro youre really fucking good and that second round it really shows, watching closely the deciding factor of every exchange was the force put into the shots, especially in the second round where he was opening up, you bueatifully timed punches in between his that hit square and clean but again he was really sitting in on his. Id day cardio too if you had a better gas tank thos flurries he was theowing wouldnt have affected you as much. Be proud of this because despite some fundamentally physical differences, your not too far off from being able to up the tempo with someone like him that lives breathes and was raised into boxing.

    Great work. I see that you get tired from bouncing around so much. Try staying in the pocket and trading with him. You seem hesitant to let your hands go and punch strong. It looked like he brought the heat in the 3rd round. It’s only right you match his energy. Keep grinding💪🏽

      What? You saw him get tired and your advise was for him to sit in the 50/50 (equal positioning) with a power puncher? Why not tell him to do the obvious thing like work on his cardio? If we are gonna get more technical why not tell him to work on his disengagement game? Learn how to eat the clock with feints and disengaging and smothering his opponent? Curmel lives and breathes in the 50/50 the moment this guy starts disengaging he forces curmel to give up his height and not only that but curmel does not cut the ring off that good this could set up lateral traps and counters. Asking him to sit and trade is horrible advise and i hope he does not follow that as this a dangerous sport (combat sports)and he could get hurt especially in boxing due to the sparring culture. Feints can help you buy time by forcing inactivity and hesitation from your opponent
