Well, despite mechanically both cars are practically the same, I think the best FWD rally car ever built was the Xsara Kit-Car. It was newer than the 306 Maxi aswell. The Xsara Kit-Car won in Catalunya and Corsica in 1999, becoming the first F2 car to win a WRC round. In a pure dry tarmac round the WRCars didn't stand a chance against the Xsara, 'cause it was on the limit of the regulation. Sadly that was the beginning of the end of the F2 cars...
It's not the car it's the driver. Panizzi is the best tarmac driver, maybe, ever.
