Great reaction guys! The Korean word for apartment is "apateu" (which is the chorus of the song) and it is also the name of a Korean drinking game (which Rose said that it's her favorite game)... so Rose named the song Apartment but used the abbreviation APT - so the title has a double meaning... when they sing "just meet me at the apateu" they are referring to both the apartment & also to a drinking game - when she talked to Bruno about a collab, he asked her to send him 3 potential songs & he liked APT - so the rest is history
Ahhh! Thank you for the info, we were wondering how it's a drinking game but they kept saying "meet me at the"! Now it all makes sense! Bruno definitely chose the right song!
you are right Rosie is the name her friends and family call her, Rosé (said like the wine) is her stage name. so yes plenty of fans do call her Rosie. Rosie is actually the name of her new album coming out Dec. 6th this is the first single from it. It's a 12-track album every song co-written and co-produced by Rosé she said she called it Rosie the name the people close to her use in hopes it brings people closer to understanding who she is. So we have 11 more Rosé songs coming soon and based on the round of interviews she's been doing the other songs are going to be very different from Apt, and very deep and emotional. Paper magazine said this based on a 6-track album sampler they heard: 'It’s a capital-P pop album with shades of intimate Swiftian storytelling and cathartic, soaring hooks as she paints a narrative of a love gone wrong: missed red flags, having dark nights of the soul at 3 AM and being toxic until the end."
@@HitPlayWithKay no problem she's doing a round of interviews on youtube like Buzzfeed Puppy Interview, Cooking Kimchi with Vogue, I Heart Radio, a few other 'radio' show ones and just today she was a guest on Hot Ones if you want to get to know her better.
Yup, "APT"(Apateu) is the name of a Korean drinking game, in English it means "Apartment". She wrote the song and one of her staff form Atlantic records gave three of her songs to Bruno Mars and he picked "APT" and the rest is history... Ty guys for the reaction.
As a Rosé bias I'll try to clarify the issue with how her name is pronounced and why you'll hear her being called different names: Okay, so her real English name is Roseanne Park, she was born in New Zealand and moved to Australia at eight years old, where she lived until she was signed by her company at sixteen and moved to S. Korea. Her family and close friends call her "Rosie" for short. When she was signed with YG Entertainment at sixteen years old she was given the stage name Rosé. The accent over the "e" gives it the pronunciation "Ro-Zay", like the wine, or like how you say the Spanish name José. Many people look at the name Rosé and say "Rose", like the flower but that is incorrect, if you saw the Spanish name "José" and mispronounced his name he would correct you. So now, you'll see the other BLACKPINK members call her "Rosie" offstage as a nickname but in interviews she is addressed as "Rosé". If you're talking about her as a fan you can use either, but know that "Rosie" is the familiar form of her name. Her new album, dropping December 6, is titled ROSIE, she said that she wants her fans to feel close to her and call her by the name that the people close to her do. Now, to make it more confusing, she also has a Korean name, which is Park Chaeyoung. Her recently created publishing company Dream Apt Publishing is registered under Park Chaeyoung.
Rosé has a new single 'Number One Girl' coming out on Friday November 22nd 12AM EST so less than 24 hours and it was just revealed that Bruno was a co-producer on this new single.
If you think you've heard that song, check out Toni Basil's "Oh Mickey" and you can hear a lot of influence from that song. Think of it, put Bruno Mars on any collab, and it becomes a hit. First Lady Gaga and now this? Great reaction!!!
Just this morning Rosé appeared on HOT ONES and ate spicy wings while answering questions about her life and new album: ruclips.net/video/-EPFy-WXVCI/видео.html
