Doc, howdy? Man, people still do not care about the clean environment in Pakistan. The park is full of trash. A long time ago I was used to smoke. And a long time ago I was sightseeing in Pakistan and smoking (I was a heavy smoker then). After I finished my cigarette I tried to find a dustbin. I carried the dead cigarette in my hand for a long time just to find a bin but I could not because there was none. I put that cigarette in a paper-wrapper and put it in my pocket to dispose it properly. Also, I visited lake Saiful-Malok and, by god, the banks were full of trash. Jeez, I do not know why people do not care when they know it is best for their health and also cleaning is one of the basics of being Muslim.

Yeah it’s a major issue,what I feel is people need to be given awareness at many levels.Grooming is a major issue and it is started at home basically.Hope you have quit smoking completely by now

Let me tell you a story about what I did in 2016 when I was visiting Pakistan during my last time there. I put a bin in every room and two bins in the main yard. I put plastic bags in each bin. I ask the garbage collector to come everyday to collect the garbage. I thanked him with €15 or €20, which is less than my one hour salary, addition to his monthly compensation for the time I was there. Because I do not live in Pakistan, my habits are different from locals. There were guests and they were eating fruits. They threw the peal on the floor. I asked them to throw the peal in the bin. They replied that nothing would happen and peal can be thrown in the bin later. I told them the peal had made the floor dirty which is increasing the work for the cleaner and also increasing the amount of cleaning liquid usage. The guests made faces buy the cleaner was happy. Also the garbage collector was happy, too. On Christmas in 2016, I gave €50 each and they were more than happy. My relatives have told me many times that they, the workers, still miss me. :)
