Multan is located in Punjab, and covers an area of 560 square kilometres (220 sq mi). The nearest important cities are Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalpur. Multan is located in a bend created by five rivers of central Pakistan. The Sutlej River separates it from Bahawalpur and the Chenab River from Muzaffar Garh. The area around the city is a flat, alluvial plain surrounded by orchards and deserts that is used for Citrus and Mango farms.
Multan is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in Asia, with a history stretching deep into antiquity. The ancient city was the site of the renowned Multan Sun Temple, and was besieged by Alexander the Great during the Mall Ian Campaign.A historic cultural centre of the wider Punjab. it was conquered by the Ummayad military commander Muhammad Bin Qasim. The city later became independent as the capital of the Emirate of Multan in 855 A.D., before subsequently coming under the rule of empires such as the Ghaznavids, the Ghurids. In 1445, it became capital of the Langah Sultanate. In 1526, it was conquered by the Mughal Empire. Multan Subah would become one of the largest provinces of the Mughal Empire when it was created by administrative reforms of Emperor Akbar. Afterwards, Multan became part of the Durabi and Sikh empires successively. In 1848, it was conquered by the British Empirebecame part of British Punjab. After independence, it became part of Pakistan.

Religion has changed but the people have same DNA, culture, language, food and habits as that of Hindus. Millions of visitors/ tourists can come at Multan if Pakistan creates congenial atmosphere there.

I wanna know about my forefathers more but I don't know where i can get some knowledge about our grandparents caste and religion.
My grandmother and grandfather both moved from Multan at the time of partition and they burned trains looted people while they were crossing and sadly my Grandmother's mother died bcz of these killers

I too have heard stories of Bahawalpur, where my great grandfather and one of my grand uncle were born. Luckily they moved to Saharanpur, UP, long before partition.

My grandfather migrated from Rawalpindi along my father and tau ji. They were Pujaari of RadhaKrishna temple.They ran in midnight in 1947 and immersed God statue in Deep well in that temple. He was running sweet shop in Rawalpindi. Brother I will be great full to you if you could find that temple place and show us

But when Muslims left India at the time of partition in 1947 they all gave their properties to Wakaf Board and hence Hindus couldn't get their properties. Don't you feel awful? For all this Congress was responsible who created Wakaf Board for this purpose for the Muslims. Hindus who migrated stood on their feet themselves..

My Dadi was from Multan and my Daarji from Rawalpindi. They migrated to India in 1947, I remember hearing many stories about their birthplaces from Daarji.
I still can't believe how these people left their motherland and went to a foreign land just because 2 guys thought that we can't live together, I feel bad for all those people who moved to different place after partition , also। My grandfather moved from Lahore Punjab to Delhi।

Not just two leader dude but one whole community also ....prior to independence, election was held and muslim league which raised the slogan for separate country for muslim in late 20's and early 30's promised in that election they will give separate country to muslims as they can't live with Kaafirs...and majority of muslim voted for muslim league and that is why if I am not wrong out 36-38 seat where Muslims were in majority muslim league candidates won the election with bumper margin...So not only two leader but also muslim community was responsible for the partition...And it's a false narrative that these days muslim says they stayed back in India because they choose not to go Pakistan.. it's also factually wrong how come when they voted for Pakistan all of sudden their hriday parivartan happened stayed back in India ,in reality in 1950 all trains which goes to Pakistan has been stopped so they couldn't go out ...When the Jinaah given the call for direct action day Maas riot happened in Bengal and other part of the country in which this community again killed looted thousand of Hindus and raped their women and the worst affected place was Bengal ..and wonders of wonder nobody remember or mourn on this incident in Bengal ...
