Suprisingly, for me, the sewing part was more difficult to do than the crocheting. As a beginner, I think this is beginner friendly! I am a loom knitter. I had already knitted up a market bag b4 I saw this. That think sunk to my knees when I put a book in it 🤣🤣🤣 I will be in using your tips for the handle and adding the extra strand of yarn to help it more stronger. I am also going to do the Chloe bag which is similar and different yarn. I will definitely be reinforcing that one. Hi dear thank you so much !!! I do it to make the bag more rigid. With only sherpa or chenille yarn the bag will be a little too soft. The second yarn helps keeping the shape together :) let me know if it helps 😘

Hi dear ! If you are talking about the Sweet Snuggles from Michael's, I didn't use the full yarn so less than 100m but I honestly can not tell you if I had 20m left exactly 😬 Also, I crochet very tight stitches so I use usually less yarn. I'm sorry I can't fully help you my answer 🥰

Hello dear, because I didn't try personally a bigger version, it's hard for me to tell the number of stitches that you need and to guaranty a nice result. What I can tell is that every chain numbers that you change have to be proportional. For example, if you double the size of the main part's chain, you have to double every others foundation chains. Same thing if you triple etc etc. Hope that's clear 🥰

Just found this video and I’m IN LOVE! I dropped my son off at school this morning and ran to Michaels! Lol I couldn’t find the Fog color in the sweet snuggles but I found the prettiest pink color called Blush! I was so excited to start but then realized the closest hook size I have is an 11.5mm! Do you think this is okay for the sweet snuggles and the craft smart yarn together or should I wait to start till I grab a 12mm hook?!? Much love❤❤❤❤

I would not recommend to add any stitches because it will change the proportions and the result might look different than expected. But if you make sure your stitches are not too tight it will counterbalance the hook difference ( my stitches are always very tight ) 🥰

I’m just not used to my CH 1 being the first stitch of the row, if I CH 1 but still crochet in the 1st chain, will that mess everything up? Even if I keep the number of stitches at 12 a row?! no worries, no need to count the stitches on each side. You just need to make as many single crochets as you need to go all along both long sides and slip stitches all along the short sides. The number of stitches doesn’t matter because it’s just to create a frame
Hmmm I'm wondering if my sweet snuggles ball was a return - I ran out right at the gusset decrease! 😢 I bought the pattern and followed this video closely and see that you had yarn leftover...lame. the skeins are so big and pricey, not sure if I'll buy a whole extra to finish..
@@CrochetPinkPumpkin I usually crochet too tight so I tried not to do that... I haven't gotten as far as assembling all the pieces together, but it looks bigger than the pattern pictures. 🤷🏽♀️. Of course, I don't mind a bigger bag. Lol

What I can tell is that every chain numbers that you change have to be proportional. For example, if you double the size of the main part's chain, you have to double every others foundation chains. Same thing if you triple etc etc. Hope that's clear 🥰

Just found this video and I’m IN LOVE! I dropped my son off at school this morning and ran to Michaels! Lol I couldn’t find the Fog color in the sweet snuggles but I found the prettiest pink color called Blush! I was so excited to start but then realized the closest hook size I have is an 11.5mm! Do you think this is okay for the sweet snuggles and the craft smart yarn together or should I wait to start till I grab a 12mm hook?!?

I would not recommend to add any stitches because it will change the proportions and the result might look different than expected. But if you make sure your stitches are not too tight it will counterbalance the hook difference ( my stitches are always very tight ) 🥰

I have another question though! I’m just not used to my CH 1 being the first stitch of the row, if I CH 1 but still crochet in the 1st chain, will that mess everything up? Even if I keep the number of stitches at 12 a row?! If I have to do it as the first stitch I will but I thought I’d ask!! Thanks again!!❤

Hi 🥰 are you talking about the main part or the bottom/gussets part ?

no worries, no need to count the stitches on each side. You just need to make as many single crochets as you need to go all along both long sides and slip stitches all along the short sides. The number of stitches doesn’t matter because it’s just to create a frame

Hmmm I'm wondering if my sweet snuggles ball was a return - I ran out right at the gusset decrease! 😢 I bought the pattern and followed this video closely and see that you had yarn leftover...lame. the skeins are so big and pricey, not sure if I'll buy a whole extra to finish..

@@CrochetPinkPumpkin I usually crochet too tight so I tried not to do that... I haven't gotten as far as assembling all the pieces together, but it looks bigger than the pattern pictures. 🤷🏽♀️. Of course, I don't mind a bigger bag. Lol
I’m sorry about that Melissa 😢, maybe a slightly smaller hook ( 11mm ) could solve the problem. Outside of that, I don’t really have any other solution unfortunately.
