There were protesters calling for a ceasefire in Palestine, calling for a FREE Palestine, calling for the end of genocide in Palestine, AS THEY RIGHTFULLY SHOULD. The response the protesters got was as expected from the presenters and attendees of the festival: complete denial & disregard. Also, at some point ridiculing the efforts of these protestors & making jokes at their expense & downplaying their cause. The protests outside were only acknowledged twice by the ONLY TWO filmmakers who had the guts to ask for an end of the genocide on the public stage! The two filmmakers being the great Babak Jalali & Kaouther Ben Hania! FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸
