You should do the shipping video, and please show how to properly pack guitars and amps. Also, thank you for showing the reverb filter showing previous sales, I had no idea that existed but that’s super helpful.
Yes to the shipping video. Another idea for the series: get permission with a trusted repeat buyer to document what a sale done right looks like from all angles.
Beautiful instructional video, I'm in my garage right now and I'm looking at stuff I could sale. Now I can post stuff easily following your instructions. Thanks.
That stuff can get pretty expensive. I've dedicated a side of my shed to keeping old boxes just for those reasons. Ups stores will usually pack for like 30-40 though and in my experience do a great job. Buying labels though there are way better options through websites like shipstation or pirate ship.
Oh man gear addiction and shopping for gear can truly cause you anxiety. Im glad ive put those days behind me somewhat. Im happy with my one amp, about 4 guitars and done. I had so many amps and guitars i never knew what to play. It’s kind of funny but gear addiction can truly make you sick. Lol
Yep. Great idea for another video… shipping. It could even be a series, “Shipping Saturdays” or something. You could even just ramble on a random topic or do a couple faqs while tasking on camera with shipping materials. Especially if it can be edited to like a 5-10 min video, I bet a lot of people would tune in for that
Honestly as a buyer I just want a brief description of wear or recent repairs made, if trades are acceptable, if price is negotiable, local pickup or delivery, and why you're selling it. All the specs I can look up myself. As a seller, for pricing it depends on how much you're willing to lose and how fast you want it off your hands. Also Craigslist in my area is quite active. Not as easy as marketplace since they still use email to communicate, but nowadays people have their email on their phone so usually you get a quick response. Sometimes I find a gold mine on Craigslist. It all depends on your area.
It's a great time to buy a used guitar. The market is flooded with them and prices are coming down. I watched one go from 2K to 1K over a year and then bought it.
Kyle i did not know about the sold listings filter, that is cool, but do you ever use the price guide? Also, really handy which is kind of in a wonky spot, but if you click a product and go to the product information that's below the seller's ad, there's transaction data down toward the bottom of that page. Gives you a nice little chart. Most guitars & amps now that are common enough have these cool little product pages.
Idk why but I’ve never had a problem moving gear. It might be that I don’t respond to the “Is this still available?” Messages. If they were interested enough to purchase it, they would’ve asked more than just that.
From my last experiences selling, everybody on every site insisted on haggling a few extra hundred. Placing the word firm after prices did fuck all for me.
I mentioned this in the video. I hate selling on those platforms as they seem to be full of people trying to rip off sellers any way that they can. It’s just better to sell either locally or on marketplace all together
@belligerentamateur i've had like seven amps on marketplace for quite a while now and only got a few hits asking for trades.. It's like no one has any money... And I think the prices are reasonable.I keep dropping them.. thanx for the info
I hate selling anything. Low ballers and resallers suck. Shipping is expensive and the risk of damage items are high. Porch pirates AKA "usual suspects" on top of that.
This is a comprehensive guide on how to try'n sell guitars that originally came with a case, without the case. But ask the same amount. Or list them for more than new ones are selling for. Then when any amount of hagling is attempted, he just either blows you off, or claims he'll lose on the deal. And that's not good business. Right now the used guitar market is in free fall mode. Yet if you offer him even $15 -20 less than he's asking. You won't even get a reply? Wonder why he has way too much gear? Weird? This kid is spiraling. Have fun!
Sweet! That's all that really matters. Both them are now discontinued. I've already got one of each, and was actually looking for friends. But thanks anyhow. Peace!

Noted!! Will do!! You're more than welcome. Always happy to help

I shipped my pants
Let's see those packing and shipping skills please.
You got it!
I am so thankful to see this uploaded. I'm still traumatized from the last time I had to offload my gear several years back.
Haha it can be a nightmare
I like it when the first picture on guitar center is the back of the headstock 😂
Beautiful instructional video, I'm in my garage right now and I'm looking at stuff I could sale. Now I can post stuff easily following your instructions. Thanks.
It would be cool to see you pack items for shipping. Where to get boxes, packing supplies etc… thanks dude

Hell yeah! Thanks so much!

This video is much appreciated! Also i wish all ad reads were this entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it! It went e bit long but I wanted to make sure it was worth watching
This is an excellent video man. Been wanting to up my sale game, never know what to list or how to word things. Appreciate it brother
Glad you dig it!!
Yes to the shipping video as well, great video Kyle today i was actually thinking of selling some gear ⚙️ Thanks man..
Hey Kyle, I’m trying to sell an 8 string and don’t have much experience with that, so the shipping video would definitely be helpful. Thanks!

Kyle, I wanna see you review a Sunn Model T!!!

Thank you for making this video, your content is great!
Definitely would like to see a packing and shipping video!
the wrapping and shipping would be really important ! :)
Love the shirt. ❤

I do all this just for some one to ask “is this still available” smdh
Worse when you put the description “will not respond to that” and they don’t read.
@ the best is “no trades” then they offer straight backyard bred dogs
Yes please to shipping video.
Smart guy Kyle gives a great tutorial just so he'll have to deal with all this BS less often when trying to buy used gear 😁💪
I like using the charger cable method for phone to computer whether it's Mac Linux or windows
spooky intro :o

sick shirt
Kyle! Is the iic+ reissue any good?
I’d like to know which carrier you prefer for which types of gear.
😂 @3:48
👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
what would you pay for a peavey triple xxx?
i tried the technique… no sales recently 😢 must be really awesome…. maybe your peavey corporate connections can push a xxx reissue 😮😮😮

I give them the same effort and just hit the thumbs up. It's worked out maybe 2% of the time...
@ yea, most people are just curious, honestly.
From my last experiences selling, everybody on every site insisted on haggling a few extra hundred. Placing the word firm after prices did fuck all for me.
Oh for sure, but at least you can point back to it in your listing when they ask
Great video do you also use ebay or reverb and if not why...all i get on market place is people asking for trades

Instructions unclear. Wiener stuck in toaster
Brooo, you're not supposed to stick the bald head just anywhere 😂😂😂
@@JohnWiku are you kink shaming me?
Guess that item is no longer available. Poor Kyle.
That was part of the instructions.
Jumbo ferrets
Worth only what someone is willing to pay for it
I thought your sister was Glenn Fricker when she was sharing your desk in the flexispot segment! 😂 Sorry Kyle's Sister!
ouch
@belligerentamateur I have been watching so many Glenn Fricker videos lately that my mind went into auto pilot!
wow…
what happened to your intro??????
it turned spoopy
Sleep paralysis edition
@@belligerentamateurdid they visit?
We ignoring the intro music 😭
Full frontal photo
I use copywriting 😉👌
Is your sister Mary Spender's twin?

What was up with the intro music? Sounded like it phased in and out
Full coherent sentences? Guess I shit luck

The salt is real. I sold the guitar you were after for full price. Thanks for your “support” as you put it!

I just think your methods are sketchy. But if it works for you, great! There's another fool born every second.
