They have never said why to me, but, if I had to speculate, Id say its due to liability and they would want some sort of waiver or disclaimer agreed on before unlocking it. Just a guess, Id reach out and see if they have more info on that. - Mike
Its a two-fold seat. On one hand if you lean back and throttle the bike, it is very comfy. On the other, if you need to pedal, the backrest is too far (for me) and I needed to scoot forward (off the backrest) and pedal. It needs adjustability to work better. Fortunately, they have several seat options when you order.
I would love to see a belt drive vertion
That would be cool and then these bikes would be even more smooth.
Why is the company requiring the customer to get a passcode from them to change to class 3? Other bikes you can just change it.

Excelente bicicleta electrica, sería una gran experiencia poderla conducir
¡Acordado! Es una bicicleta muy divertida de manejar. ¡Gracias por mirar! - Mike
The back rest doesn't look comfortable. It appears to be leaning back.

Looks like a girl's bike. Am I wrong?
Thats the beauty of EBC bikes, you can customize this in any configuration to have any look you want from his to hers or anything in between.
