Great video Maria! Would definitely love to see more of these videos, I work for Uber aswell as Deliveroo and I only ever seem to get McDonald’s orders and they usually take ages to get the food ready 😂
Hi Shane, thank you for your comment! Yes, I’ve heard you get many more orders when you work for more than 1 company :D I’ve never actually received an order from maccies, as there is always a herd of deliveroo riders just waiting outside 😅 so I hang around the other restaurants!! Have you been delivering for a long time??
wait u live in Cambridge? (can see it on the screen-record on ur phone that ur in cambridge, so i'm guessing u live there) how cool!!! i used to live there with my family, parents, brother and sister. We stayed there for a year from 2015-2016 while they were doing their masters at Queens College, we lived on Canterbury Street, it's a really nice chill place. I played a lot of tennis around there near the parks they have tennis courts, i cycled around there too a lot to get around it was really nice! We now live in Copenhagen moved here 6 years ago. I too work delivery, i deliver food for Wolt it's like what deliveroo / ubereats is for the uk that's what Wolt is for the rest of the EU, been doing it for 6 months now i love it! 😃👍
Hi, just going threw the joining process sighed digital supply form orders my pro kit how long will I wait ? finalised few more checks will be in touch via email .
Hi Maria ,really honest review. Saying you can earn between £10 and £50 ! I heard when the lockdown started last March, delivery riders were so so busy!. is there waiting list to become a deliveroo rider ?
Hi Max, thank you for your comment! Yes it’s true, I talked to a few other Deliveroo riders about what it was like pre-lockdown... They were able to make as much as a normal full time job! I don’t know if it’s a waiting list (exactly) , but I know it does take some time to process the application :/
@@mariahatcher # Got a friend who is a taxi driver , and taxi drivers are really struggling due to lockdown rules, pubs and bar closed ! He has been on deliveroo waiting list for a few months !
@@maxs6775 that’s awful!! I would have thought that (car) drivers would be in higher demand because they can deliver further and faster! If your friend is still waiting on a reply from deliveroo, they should definitely check out other brand like Uber or just eat. I’ve heard that sometimes in other areas those brands are more popular?? Hope you are well and staying safe :D
@@mariahatcher # I thought maybe deliveeoo uber eats , limited how many people worked in an area, so everyone can earn enough ? Keep up the hard work with the channel , you can monetise videos that last longer than 10.mins and you might have an extra income for life !
Hi @dimezofficial thank you for your comment! That’s great, electric bikes are so much quicker!! I’ve only got a pushbike, but I’ve been able to get the job done haha :))
Hi Andrea, thank you for your comment! Yes it’s such a beautiful town ☺️✨ Definitely recommend visiting during the summer, as punting and picnics in the sun is great!!
Great video. I have completed 4 lunchtime shifts in London so far between uni. It has been tough getting orders as there’s at least 3-4 riders in view no matter where I look haha. Lunchtime ‘moderate’ level busy usually lasts around 2.5-3 hours and at most I’ve received 4 orders in that time before it dies down. I can probably put that down to fitness as the first 2 days my body and legs were dying!!! So I’ll probably speed up a bit myself in time. 😂😭 I am yet to do an evening shift, the only reason I haven’t thus far is there can be some dodgy areas in London I’m not familiar with so awaiting brighter evenings, 😂 but I will probably try an evening this weekend tbh. Thanks for the ‘wait to press “arrived”’ tip. Didn’t give that much thought, I enjoy stacked orders.
That’s great! I hope your first week has gone well!! Yes, I think realistically you can work 6-8 hours tops of actively doing deliveries per day... and yeah don’t worry, you’ll get used to the exercise, tbh it took me 1 month to get used to! Pls stay safe! Don’t want anything horrible to happen to you whilst you’re working ! Haha, I’m glad my tips are useful ☺️✨ have a lovely weekend!
I did a couple of hours Friday night (2.5 hours) and a couple of hours Saturday (2 hours) and made £70 including fee boost and tips. Quite successful weekend considering I couldn’t possibly stay out any longer as my body was so done!!! Haha. 😂😂😂
@@Kumari_44 apparently an ebike will get you more orders. I don’t know how true, but but just what I’ve heard. You have to pick the right times. But after a month you’ll get used to what times work best for you. Good luck with it.
@@mylostwhispers9518 i follow another rider on here called gig hustle. He said the exact same thing. That ebike riders get tons of consistent orders. Funny thing is only wanted an ebike so that i dont lose all my gym gains from burning so many calories riding, but when i learned from him that you get more orders too. Two birds with one stone 👍🏽 and thanks bro, i cant wait. I can tell im really gonna love this job. I love riding, and getting paid to be on your bike is just awesome.

Really interesting, thanks babe 😍
Hey great tips and advice, just one question how do you pack drinks with open lids like coffee's?
Really helpful Maria just recently started with deliveroo myself spot on plus your absolutely gorgeous I’m in love!

Unfortunately, it's now hard to get accepted instantly. There's a long waiting list and already too many drivers on the road.

how long did you say you was out for
Hi @ambienceinstitute , thank you for your comment! I was available from 5:30 to 10 pm that evening! :)
If a delivery person puts my food on the floor I complain to customer service.
I come to Cambridge to ride with you :P
I wondered if you took the crazy directions on the app? One looked like it was sending you a very long route no wonder you don't earn much.

Uber all the way
i hate when you have to cycle uphill
