Before it was revealed that the "monster" was Lion, am I the only one who thought it was a slinker? First off, it kinda looked like it with the liquid-like shapes and black color. But most of all because of Amethyst's reaction to it. As Lion seemed to appear as a slinker, Amethyst might have remembered the memories of the slinker in "Reformed". Where as in the episode, the slinker causes Amethyst to reform multiple times via poofing her. Though that wasn't the message, the way she quickly became unnerved at Lion's racket, she could've thought back to that moment and got afraid of the same problem. She was so relieved too at the end of the comic to find it was merely Lion.
Sorry... I like to infer things in darker ways. TwT

I FOUND A PLOT HOLE! Amethyst could've shape shifted into a tire to replace the flat one. But the comic ending is way more of a lesson then my idea. Well done on the voice acting by the way.

Another plot hole is amethyst could have shapeshifted into a helicopter and let them ride and fly. But its their choice anyways.
Even if you want to say for some strange reason Steven and Amethyst shouldn’t lift the car. Smoky should be able to easily.

Shelly Kitten doesn't draw the comics, only voices them. These are official Steven Universe comics, and were probably not made all that recently, and would not take place anywhere close to the recent episodes.
