Literally, I love her mindset when she was saying why she bought a smaller sized home for herself. I personally feel like more people should think this way. One singular person does not need a mansion all by themselves, but to each their own I guess. I just don't see the practicality in it, and it seems like a waste of space all in the namesake of showing off or spending money just because you can.

Even Family's of 2-3's I feel personally don't need such Immense amounts of space. I'm not saying families that size need to live in a capsule apt like in NYC or Japan or something, but just being conscious of how big spaces can be better utilized and used to the fullest. :)

PLEASE install security cameras around your house, both outside and inside, especially if you're living alone. My home is also riddled with CCTVs and one time a stray cat came in and ate my sandwich. Beware of stray cats lmao
I highly recommend it. I live in the back of an industrial building and random guys were smoking out front all the time and a couple tried to hit on me...plus we didn't want anything stolen.
Not inside, people hack them all the time, there are literal websites of cameras inside people's houses that people can access just by clicking. If you have it inside, make sure it isn't somewhere you go regularly.

Agreed. The generation before us bought a home on a single income of minimum wage. In contrast, my husband and I have multiple degrees each and our combined income was barely enough to buy a condo in CA. Yet I felt guilty and enraged knowing that our privilege has amounted to the bare minimum. What about other people?? What about people who can’t afford college and grad school? What about single people who don’t want a partner? Insane.
@@Jebjess CA isn't the best example though? The cost of living is absolutely ridiculous there compared to the majority of America. But yeah, you're correct about people with careers vs those who couldn't even get a degree. Wages have NOT kept up with the increases in cost of living across the board and there seems to be no relief in sight without a lot of systems being regulated differently. We can't just raise minimum wage to $15 and call it good either. Many businesses can't pay their employees that and survive. It's just a whole big mess honestly, and if you weren't lucky enough to get a head start in life (either by having supportive parents or getting lucky with w/e professional venture you took), you'll be stuck apartment living, or even stuck at home. And as far as a single professional income being able to afford a home, that's doable here in Texas honestly. Guess it depends on where you live.

Reminds me of that girl on TikTok who was dancing and her stalker literally had climbed the balcony and opened the door to her apartment. She looked and sounded so terrified (luckily the guy was non-violent, she kinda scared him off).
But nobody should have to ever feel like that. It's a total invasion of privacy, safety and security and I don't think people realise the lasting psychological trauma it can leave.

A while ago another youtuber, Darcei, bought a 2-bedroom apartment and a few comments were literally ranting about how she's taking away space for a family - that she was being selfish and rude towards families who have a hard time. I was shook, like sure, kind of get were they're coming from but I still don't think that opinion is right. Seems some people cannot be happy for others their success, no wonder young people feel bad for being able to buy a house... Ridiculous

As someone who's parents got into a tone of debt that we had to pay for years (and still do), I can confirm you that debt is something horrible. All the paperwork that comes to your house, all the pressure from the money lenders that call you at midnight or past it, recieving eviction papers every few months, interests being added to your debt and increasing it, getting anxiety attacks at school and being mocked by classmates who don't understand why because you can't explain them what's happening in your life....
Never get into a debt that you're not sure if you will be able to pay 90% of it the next month.

My kids are 26 and 29 and both live with me. It helps me, it helps them, and we have more time together. As much as I love the idea of living all by myself (something I've never done) I know I'll also be sad when I'm no longer able to get up and go tell them the crazy idea I had, or about the person that was wrong on the internet, or show them the funny video I just found, plus no more regular meals together. So I don't have a problem that they're still here. They'll move out when they're ready.
My brother will be 22 when he moves out and I was 21 when I moved out for university - and I'm currently living with my family again because of the pandemic.
300€/month for rent (which was really cheap for a shared flat!) plus x€ for your food when all your courses and exams are online is a lot of money you could save...

I'm pretty sure you can only buy those on the condition that you do them up and you can only do them up if you have A LOT of money. I think it's because they want the town looking pretty again and people and business back. I think the whole thing is to encourage people to move in and to get the place running again is what I'm trying to say.

Being wary of debt is actually extremely rational and I share this sentiment with you. Congrats on your house!
Unfortunately, in today's world, you have to have debt. It's the only way for most people to afford homes/cars. There are ways of using debt to your advantage....but you just have to be careful and responsible.
Sometimes being in debt is the smarter thing to do! if you have stable finances and security about the future, some debt, like mortgages, have low enough interest rates compared to the inflation of the home that it is financially responsible to be in debt. Its good to be money conscientious either way.
Don't forget to blur the front of the house/ views out the windows in future videos so creepy people don't work out the address. Sorry to hear creepers be creeping.

eh that was actually really sad for me because many animals are hurt by cars and left to die, for hours or even days in pain with for example broken bones ;< My kitty was hit by a car and this person ran away, my sister found her after few hours and it turned out she had broken spine. She was on the road with broken spine in incredible pain. My vet clinic tried to save her for 3 days. I have seen many animals that were hit by vehicles and left to die like that, I don't see joy in that, this is a proof of pure human brutality and huge pain of animal

The fact that you said everyone should live woth their parents as long as they want, really resonates with me. I have moved out TWICE, but each time I moved back. Now, I live for free in my parent's second house ❤️ (They live on a farm, "my" house is basically a cabin in the woods)
It's only in America that people get so shamed for living with their parents beyond high school. It makes more sense to stay and save up instead of getting right into debt. Debt is a valid fear.

But never in your 30s in order to avoid society seeing you as a weird loser.😅 The abundance of chances to obtain your own house/apartment is available in USA.
