- Databricks is launching its own large language model, DBRX, in an effort to help organizations understand and use their own private data to build their own AI systems. CEO and co-founder, Ali Ghodsi, says AI has driven more competition in the industry, including with it's rival Snowflake. Ghodsi speaks with Ed Ludlow on "Bloomberg Technology."
I’m hearing: “we let you fine-tune an LLM.” Is that right?
Absolutely
Yes
Also pre-train, build from scratch, whatever you want to do
Also open source, so no black box in the training.
composability is huge -- these companies sit on numerous siloed vendors and datasets.
Copying NVIDIA strategy of ‘Sovereign AI’ for enterprises. Smart move Ali 😊
Awesome
Databricks may soon become the most valuable AI company!
Are you aware how much money they burn?
Are you?
This is massive, ive used ai in databricks. This is an industry changer.
Why does Databricks exist, when there's Palantir? 😢
This is a joke, right?
@@MarMar-jh9evnot at all
@@MarMar-jh9evnot even in the slightest
Databricks has 10x the commercial revenue than palantir (obviously not counting govt contracts, but palantir is not growing by much in that sector anymore I believe), Databriks is growing 4x faster yearly and is 10 years younger as a company. They also have many more customers. Palantir literally uses DB's products under the hood.
@@MarMar-jh9ev Palantir is growing significantly in both commercial and government sectors. They just became the country's first ever software prime contractor winning the TITAN contract. Do you have data that shows that Databricks commercial revenue is over $10B per year since I find that very hard to believe. I don't believe you're correct about Palantir using Databricks under the hood (I am a user of Foundry myself). Can you clarify this statement? Thanks
lol this is a joke - nobody uses databricks for AI
