    What a beautiful Soul. This video is such an inspiration to me. I knew at an early age that health and healing was something that I always wanted to do. My time has come and gone. I worked in a Hospital setting that wasn't working, I wish I had pursued a career in Acupuncture.
    I know that shoulder touch. My Acupuncturist helped me get over the death of a loved one. There is no end to what Acupuncture can do for Me. It's absolutely amazing to me that we are not using it in Western medicine these days. Beautiful video. 🙏✌

    Acupuncture is a very effective health care system. However like all things not all acupuncturist are as experienced and gifted like this lady in Japan. It be an incredible privilege to have her treat you. She knows a lot about energy system which she incorporates in her acupuncture treatment. Thank You for making this video. I wish you would post another follow up showing her do the actual acupuncture.

      miss bumblebee..my opinion accupunture is to channel /booster QI energy through organ, and wet cupping is to open the 'gate ' / remove toxin / heavy metal...so these 2 combination of ancient tecnique is must of theurapetic for illness..what did u think ?

    I guess it looks weird if people aren't wearing masks during interviews now! This interview was filmed last year BEFORE the pandemic...when we didn't have to worry about sitting next to people without a mask on. Sorry if anyone was worried! Have you tried acupuncture or moxibustion? If so, what are your thoughts?

    I have tried both acupuncture and moxibustion (though I did not know this was the name of it), and both were amazing. I felt a little sore after the acu, for about a day, and even a little queasy, but thereafter I felt so much better. Amazing stuff.

      I have tried acupuncture several times, and read every bit of research I can find. It did not work. At all. And I cannot locate any scientific evidence that says it should, or ever has worked, in any controlled test - more than a placebo. You were lucky. It is a sham.

      Thank you so much. Yes there are many alternatives to healing. I want to be able to share that if we take a holistic, whole body approach to health and wellness, we can prevent many illnesses...and hopefully ween ourselves off of some of the prescription meds that so many of us are taking.

    @5:03 because there's a "knot" in the energy center and/or channel which prevents the energy ("ki" in this specific language) to flow which causes disturbance on both emotional and physical level.
    First emotional and then if care is not taken it progresses to the physical plane.
    Thank you :-).

    By touch.... The healer takes the energy of the ill person and gives her own energy of health. Which as this healer says is a primary source of healing. This is something i have felt as well. Once i touched someone for 20 seconds and a large part of the headache she was having got transferred to me. How does one maintain their own health while healing others?

    AT 15:45, you mention that heat is better for us than cold. What about the cold showers and ice baths that so many people do to improve their health? How does that fit in?

    • @ModernAging
      @ModernAging  4 года назад +7

      It is a different school of thought and definitely has its benefits. People are bio-individual meaning what may work for you may not work for me. My husband loves cold showers and he feels the difference. So it's not necessarily that one school of thought is better than the other -- you have to find out what is right for your body and what your body responds to best.

    • @Nemisis2290
      @Nemisis2290 4 года назад +4

      It also depends what your body needs, as she said, it may not be for everybody but as your tastebuds change over time, the rest of your body does as well as its needs. I used to prefer the cold, now I prefer warmth... it's strange. I can't even enjoy the cold anymore, when I used to revel whenever it was freezing out. Now I even get cold sweats in my sleep, when before I'd have my window open during winter with the heater OFF

      @@ModernAging I'd also assume this lady rarely gets sick. When you are that in tune with your qi flow there isn't much that can shake you up. This video was such a gift to watch. I'd love to be able to chat with and receive treatment from her. I had brain cancer 5 years ago and since then turned to other culture's medicine systems/practices/philosophy for answers that I wasn't happy with with Western Medicine and Science. Fortunately it got me to a way better spot in life mentally/physically and just more in tune with my nature. Thank you for posting! :)
