This video is spot on. I was at this cork factory in Evora in December 2022 with family. Amazing process as described above. So amazing that I purchased a cork wallet for less than $20USD. Muito Obrigado Portugal. Valeu!!!
We really enjoy your videos. We currently are in Evora (6-09-22) for three nights. We arrived by train, but we were able to take a taxi to view the cork factory. The cost for the taxis was a little less than 50 euros, this included waiting time for us to do the tour and take pictures. Keep up the great work.

@@TalesFromOurPocket Like many Oaks, It is not a fast growing tree. In your video you show a cross-section of a limb while explaining the bark harvest. I did a rough count of the rings and determined it to be around 20 years old when it was cut. So you can imagine those larger trees are easily 50-75 plus years old.
