Total concentration as a finisher after a grenade is pretty nice too, especially if you've got a weapon with very low AP cost, give it to Ivan and keep going till you need to reload.
Thanks for sharing this! Its a shame we cant respec the perks on a merc because in the beginning mistakes will be made. Few of this type of videos has been made. They are just now coming out as people figure out what perks work best for whatever role. It'd be nice if we could undo our choices for the more proper choice instead of starting the game over.

Nein, alles gut...nur schade das manches halt einfach universell overpowered ist, weswegen ich versuche etwas mehr zu mischen.

Don't get me wrong, I like games (open-world) that make you think /repercussions ect... but we need guidance, a finger to point the was, an arrow in the dirt, what to sell/keep/save/need for quests & etc... Good video!! I disagree on the melee build. Almost all strength perks are melee and the huge one is true strike that makes 100% of melee strike crits. Mixed with other strength melee perks and a machete instead of just fists and all melee hit nearly always succeed and do over 150 damage. Try hit! :)

Snipers : Fast Runner / Frogleaping / Lightning Reactions / Anatomical Precision / Total Concentration then get Beefed up and Vanguard or Recoil Management or Breach and Clear and Shock Assault for Maximum movement and nasty one taps. Don't get Sharpshooter, you have to spec into Overwatch which you wouldn't really use on a sniper and Total Concentration gives you enough DMG to one tap anything in the lategame anyway. Never spec into melee, you are gambling with your mercs life and that is jsut waiting for desaster to happen and it also takes a lot of skillpoints to make melee even remotely viable. In general: Stay as far away from enemies as possible, free move is your best friend. Dex tree is for machine gunners.
Specializing in melee with your imp character is a completely viable strategy. Other mercs I'd agree are hard to make it work because it needs a lot of perks but the imp melee build can be a monster if you can be patient for the early levels when they don't have the perks yet.

Kaylna's Active is so much better than just AP, it pretends the armor isn't there, ,so it does more damage, and let's you achieve 100% crit rate with deadeye, HP ammo, and prism scope. She one taps the Stormtrooper gunners.
Are melee guys good? Never made one. Also I played 1 game and had to restart because everything went to hell. Do you have to have multiple teams? I only had 1 and it seemed hard to stay ahead of the enemy
Stealth kill chance is pointless, you don't need the damage boost since a headshot burst with a dragonov will ohko every enemy that's not a boss. The chance often caps with no perks at all when you are out of combat. Melee builds
@Querulously Yes. As far as I observed there is a difference 1. To trigger a stealth kill the merc has to be in stealth mode (obviously) 2. If you trigger a stealth kill, the weapon damage is irrelevant. If it triggers, the victim dies, no matter health or weapon strength. 3. Does not work on Bosses.
Exactly. There is a good video from @Kordanor on this and this is why I didn't go with the damage perks. But - if the stealth kill fails, you still might kill the enemie due to enough damage done (failed Stealth Kill).

yeah I can imagine! The 3 AP after a kill from Ivan is crazy!

Ich hoffe doch das die Entwickler ein paar DLCs in petto haben um das Spiel fresh zu halten. Die mods werden natürlich auch dabei helfen.

Tbh they can work, but are situational.
On my playthroughs i preferred to simply shoot the head out of stealth...

I hate the druganov, the durability on it deteriorates do quickly when burst firing. I prefer the Psg1 for me at least.
