Raider is A tier because of Dodge GB's effectiveness in dealing with bash moves and his high damage. Lawbringer is A tier because of his 50+ damage parry punish on Heavy Parry, and his 150 HP pool.
@@MoronAbound I can see raider being where he is but lawbringer I just can't see being in A tier even with his high health pool he doesnt have any openers only when he gets parries or shove on block which doesnt guarantee anything. (Btw I only play on console so take that for what you will I dont know how much different it is on pc)
@@andoionmalvon5328 Lawbringer having no openers is not a problem in a game where the defensive meta rules. His massive HP pool makes it so that, in duels, he can land one heavy parry punish and over half of your HP is gone, whereas on most other characters you'd have to land 4-5 LIGHT parries to kill Lawbringer. In Dominion, Impaling Charge ganking rules the show. Simply "blocking left" doesn't work because Impale is easy to set up (can be done on reaction, not prediction to a GB), and nets a massive punish with Wallsplat into Longarm, basically an instant kill with a decent team.

@@MoronAbound Ya in dominion I think Lawbringer is solid enough even though I'd say other characters are more viable in 4v4s then say lawbringer in terms of duels I see where your coming from where all it takes is one light parry to even the playing field agaisnt say an assassin but I disagree that is all it takes to make him A tier cause parrying itself for openers imo is hard to pull off on console especially against smart playere and even so if I get a shove on block against say beserker or orochi they can easily get deflects off the light follow ups but thats only when I'm against really good assassin players but regardless I think it sucks that lawbringers have to rely on parries for legit openers on a system that is going for more an offensive approach (console) though defensive meta still exist which is funny imo.

On paper bad in Duels but amazing in ganks and in reality if you master the character you'll do fairly well. Shugoki gets a “50/50”, everybody cries. Highlander, Shaman, Kensei, Warden, and BlackPrior have one, nobody calls it out. Why people gotta hate on the fat man for getting a fun buff?
Still feels pretty bad when people constantly whine about chubby boi even though he isn’t even as powerful as they complain about. I am okay with the 50/50 stuff existing, but people shouldn’t be so biased about who can and can’t have one, especially since someone like Shugo gets punished pretty hard if they guess right. Maybe I’m just cynical because I have been waiting ages for my favorite character to get some offensive stuff and so many people bitch when he does.
