Hope that makes a difference when you get it back on the road

Thanks, I think it will. Originally all that was there before was the jute insulation under the carpet so this should help a good bit.

Is the carpet you have “mass back” from ACC? Just wondering if it would be ok to sound deaden and then have the mass back carpet on too because of thhickness of the carpets backing. Might be okay but I don’t really have an idea because I’m no where near at this stage yet! Brilliant video as always.

Yes it is the Mass Back cut pile carpet from ACC. It does not seem to be too thick with both. I know some that have used sound deadening, separate heat barrier and the mass back carpet and have had no issues. My sill plates are a bit bulged on the inner edge but they were that way with the carpet I installed in the 1980s so I think some bulging is normal. I can say I am very happy with this install. The interior floor is so much softer and comfortable. I am hoping to get the backseat reinstalled this weekend. Waiting on the fronts till I get the dash all put back together. Much easier without the seats in the way.

@@67Stang that makes sense then! I’ve bought the mass back carpeting too. I think it comes with Juke? So I’m assuming it’s sound deadening, then juke and then the carpeting? Can’t wait to see the next couple of videos you put up. Will help me a lot for when my time comes! At the moment we’re putting in new floors, rails etc.

@@ksingh8762 That is right. The jute comes pre attached to the carpet. So you do not need to do anything there. Good luck on the floors and rails. I was lucky that my rails were in good shape and did not need replacing.
