Welcome to our first developer log for Hello Neighbor 2! In today's episode we will explore the open world of Hello Neighbor 2 and what players can expect beyond the basement.

Wow, the map for this game (on 2:35) is much larger than the map we have now in the full game.
"Grown men yelling at clouds" implies that multiple grown men other then Mr. Peterson yell at clouds.

@@ContextuallyDeContextualized the reason is because first off their proportions and boy shapes are completely different. Next in hello neighbor 2 alpha 1 the neighbor was viewable in the basement while the crow locked him up. Next, yes the neighbor and the crow are both psychopaths, but they are different people with different goals. For example the crow try’s to hunt you down while the neighbor defends his secrets. And one of the biggest pieces of evidence is of this dev log. Tiny build said while the neighbor will be at his house the crow will stalk you at night.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! THIS IS SO COOL! The town is actually what I wanted, down to everything! I love the town’s map, and the designs for the characters! Everything looks so polished and beautiful! I can’t wait for the next DevLog, this is gonna be amazing!

Tiny build just gave me mad nostalgia. Seeing the neighbor getting old just makes me think back to breaking into the alpha one house.

I love the new artstyle, is it inspired by anything or were you trying to remake the artstyle of alpha 1 mixed in with the full game with a creepier enviroment because that's my current theory. It looks way nicer than the first game and it introduces more new mechanics which show that the game isn't trying to make some bad lazy sequel to earn some money and that they are trying their best to put a new take on the game.

@@ronnieellington4593 It sure has, this game really turned out to be dogshit. I don't think I'll be trusting the developers behind this game anymore, not to mention tinybuild, they're probably the worst publishers when it comes to this game.
Every Trailer, Devlog, Teaser, Screenshot,... makes me just more hyped for this game. When is Alpha 2 or a Beta or the Full Game finally coming out?

There WAS a teaser for alpha two but seeing as we're already halfway through 2021 and the game is slated to release this year, I doubt we'll be getting an alpha two. I think they've scrapped that and moved on to further developing the game.

The last character u didn't introduce is a farmer who uses some kind of elixir and injects it in his vegetables and wins the biggest vegetable so they get a lot of money.

Although alot of this content was not in the full game, I'm sure some of this stuff will be added because the are updating Hello Neighbor 2 constantly and adding more story to continue in the same exact game.

@@tinyBuildGAMES Hey, a question: if the Neighbor's AI learns from the community's actions, wouldn't that make him *too* smart after some time passes?
Like, he'll be alright to deal with at the launch of the game, but after a few months he'll be impossible to beat!
@@gamesuarx that of which can be a bit of a complication for first-time players and, realistically speaking, is just not right. I think the AI shouldn't learn from the whole community, but rather the player has an individual AI in their copy of the game that learns from them only.

The "Guest" is actually a Forest Protector
I think he'll just run around at night annoying the player by dragging and throwing them.

@@Depkis643 Yeah, but I mainly wanna go to Theodore's (Neighbor's) house, I don't really care for other houses.
Hopefully not. Maybe there's an option to turn the neural network off, or maybe friendly mode will return so it'll be easier. The only catch (no pun intended) is that he won't set up traps.

So I got a couple of questions:
Is there gonna be acts like in the full game?
Are the police enemies like do we have to avoid them
What happens if the other civilians catch us while we are sneaking into their houses
And correct me if I’m wrong
In the trailer it says the guest appears at night so at night will the neighbor be asleep and the guest goes into his house? or will they both team up?
Here are the answers!
1. This game will have no acts, Instead there is one huge open world with lots of things to do.
2. The police are somewhat enemies because the sidequest where you have to discover every character's secret.
3. Same way that mr peterson does when he catches you.
4. According to a livestream if I remember, at night, Mr. Peterson will dig up bodies of not garbage so when you are running around in the open world, the guest will stalk you and if he catches you, you will fall over and he takes your items away. (He can only stalk you if you have an item.)

I think the neural network is a great idea and all, but i also like the idea on how the neighbor learns from your previous actions. I don’t want to start the game off with a neighbor that knows our every move. That’s just my opinion.
I jest hope that they fixed the glitch in the old game were your items would fall trough the ground.
Unfortunately it is still in the alphas I think.. hopefully they fix it for the full game though.
