It took me TWO WEEKS to make this video - it is huge! And while you wait for these games, keep in mind that GOG gaming sale is happening right now!: af.gog.com/?as=1694194425
Also Dr McKay was made for that role in Stargate Atlantis ...such good comic relief... some actors are just go together in their roles like potatoes and salad!!!
Somehow a lot of people ask me that recently. I can't speak 100% fluently in English, I often forget words in the middle of the sentence, because I have 0 practice of actually talking in English. I tried to make gameplay vids several times, but the editing is just a nightmare after that
2023 seems like good year for strategy games. Some more games worth adding to the wishlist are: Blood Bowl 3, Men of War II, Ratten Reich, Knights of Honor II: Sovereign, Age of Mythology: Retold, Beyond All Reason. Also there are some games in early acces which might see full release in 2023: Songs of Conquest, Age of Darkness: Final Stand, Dune: Spice Wars, Clash II and Sins of a Solar Empire II.
Good list, didn't know BAR was getting a 2023 release since its been f2p for a year or so. Recommend looking into Sanctuary: Shattered Sun from the supcom folks as well.
This is very anecdotal but I wanted to tell it to you @ColdBeer In the middle-east there was a channel called Space Power, when I was young I would wait for the weekend to watch a show that came on at around 10:30 - 11 AM about the newest games, trailers and gameplay reveals. As a young gamer this show absolutely delighted me and now while watching your video it felt so nostalgic and nice so thank you really for all your effort and your presentation.
The first time I heard about Jagged Alliance 3, I was a bit skeptical. You know, the past attempts to revitalize the series were a failure after failure. Until I watched the trailer and, for my joy, I saw that Haemimont Games is behind this new iteration and they did a good job resurrecting Tropico.
Thank you for the video! Your commentary on Dungeons 4 feel like ingame narration in previous games of yhe series. You should try to become the narrator for 4th ;)
Hey CB, nice video, the amount of research you might have done to compile this list is simply superb. Only bad thing again as always... my steam wish list has grown yet again.... ohhh the greed of getting good games in your library!! 😂😂😂😂
Thank you for making original and researched content and giving your opinion. So refreshing in a sea of crappy videos of game trailers stitched back to back.
I've been searching for a good zombie building games but none are really to my taste but Urban Strife looks great.. Although it looks kinda stiff but the game concept is really close to what I wanted.. Great war : Western Front also looks great although I'm not really a fan of paradox style soldier movement on the campaign map..
Pineapple in potato salad? The horror! Speaking of horror I'm not a fan of zombie games but Urban Strife looks like a unique challenge. I hope you give us another peak down the road. Cheers CB!
I agree. Pineapple in potato salad sounds ghastly. I don't like it on my pizza either... pineapple I mean...though potato salad on pizza would probably be odd as well...
My first time seeing your content. Awesome content. Not only do I share your enthusiasm for RTS, but also your obsession for potato salad. Please do a list of games that are potato salad friendly.
Thanks for the video. I'm really looking forward to Sanctuary: Shattered Sun. I remembered how I played Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and left only positive impressions. Sanctuary looks like a promising project.
It's amazing how airships are in so many games and movies have airships in them, but we don't have them. They are a technically viable product and we could easily have flying RVs if any company actually put in the work. Cross with drone technology and now you have maneuverability as well.
They're amazing. Laysara looks especially beautiful and maybe a good "chill" game, like the fabulous new Timberborn. I'm glad i9 PC's have finally become affordable. My excuse for buying a new computer (I tend to buy high-end machines every five years or so) is getting close.
I did that "high end" thingy before as well, then realized that changing my PC every two years into middle-end machine is a bit better decision. In 4-5 years high-end becomes sad kinda disgusting dusty thing that overheats all the time anyway. So instead of buying stuff for 4K Eur I tend to buy my PCs for 1,5K instead. Monitor included :)
Ahaha your comment about Momoa. I never did like the cast of Atlantis, but Momoa and his character... was 100% the reason for me not to watch the show. Now I like him :)
Crown Wars sounds kind of like medieval xcom. Which is great because I love the X-COM system. Is that Stargate game being developed by the same team who made Shadow Tactics? Because it looks a lot like Shadow Tactics. Like, right down to graphics, vision cones and bushes. Didn't Brutal Legend do what that Minecraft game is trying to do?
the guy at 10:00 looks like the guy of that movie that it was a truck driver and had to rescue a girl in chinatown with weird monsters and stuff, and that other one that it was a soldier with no emotions that was discarded but came back and beat the new models and saved a village of people in a scrap planet, ummm what is his name>? meh too old to remember XD.
I’m both sad and excited for the stargate game, they are cursed and it kind of looks lackluster but I’ll believe that it releases when it actually releases
search fantasy strategy game (musst have: playable nonhuman faction without dlc) search not: total war, fantasy general (this name is lie. historical general is the real name) not a game older than 2018
Homeworld 3 was already the most innovative scifi strategy game. I'll be perfectly fine with just updated graphics, and a more refined control system. I just wish Stellaris, and other strategy/rts games made use of real-time 3D battles.
Any Jagged Alliances reboot/sequels/whatever will failed until the developer learn that JA isn't XCOM clone. In XCOM, you take a random nobody as your expendable soldier. They are a bunch of stat in your war. In JA, you take a comrade to fight alongside you. You mourn their deaths because they are your friend.
It took me TWO WEEKS to make this video - it is huge! And while you wait for these games, keep in mind that GOG gaming sale is happening right now!: af.gog.com/?as=1694194425
Basically just added this whole list to my watchlist!
Also Dr McKay was made for that role in Stargate Atlantis ...such good comic relief... some actors are just go together in their roles like potatoes and salad!!!
Hey CB, why don't you make some gameplay videos with your comedy commentary, it would be some good fun!!! Keep up the good work.
Somehow a lot of people ask me that recently. I can't speak 100% fluently in English, I often forget words in the middle of the sentence, because I have 0 practice of actually talking in English. I tried to make gameplay vids several times, but the editing is just a nightmare after that
Awesome list, thanks for the time and effort.
Have fun, be safe.

Great thanks for the additions - adding it to my ever-growing RTS watchlist!
@@rustil7595 Why? It got decent reviews as far as I've seen. Though it isn't really an RTS but closer to Paradox's Grand Strategy games.
Good list, didn't know BAR was getting a 2023 release since its been f2p for a year or so. Recommend looking into Sanctuary: Shattered Sun from the supcom folks as well.
blood bowl 3 is terrible game
@@MM22658 Have you played it already? The release is today.
The previous game was pretty good though.
Really dig the idea of war hospital, definitely caught my attention the most off this list. Thanks for the great content as usual!
Does look good.
This is very anecdotal but I wanted to tell it to you @ColdBeer

Until I watched the trailer and, for my joy, I saw that Haemimont Games is behind this new iteration and they did a good job resurrecting Tropico.
Oh those memories. JA2 is still one of the best strategy games ever ever ever for me. Everything after that was downhill :((
Thank you for the video!
Your commentary on Dungeons 4 feel like ingame narration in previous games of yhe series. You should try to become the narrator for 4th ;)
PRAISE THE RTS GODS!!! PRAISE THEIR PROPHET COLDBEER!!!
PRAISE DIZ NUTS ON YOUR CHIN!
6:10 CoH3 guys casually shooting a wall xD
Homeworld is amazing because its originally inspired by battlestar galactica, also the sound track. Amazing! :D
Came for the Upcoming games and Subscribed because of the Humor and the great work done.
Wow. I'm excited for 2023.
Great list

thank you so much for the list, all my fancy style of games
Manor lords and summit kingdom looks fun for me.
Great games pal ❤
Great list, thanks.
Thank you for making original and researched content and giving your opinion. So refreshing in a sea of crappy videos of game trailers stitched back to back.
Malačius, nebloga ateinančių strategijų apžvalga 👍

Good compilation, but im missing falling frontier! Jagger Alliance looking good btw
Great video! What about Sins of a Solar Empire 2?? Was good rts the first one.
Great top!
looking forward to spellforce and dungeons 4. dont forget blood bowl 3 :)
Mmm potato salad and a cold beer, excuse me for a moment, Iki calls ;)
First one look cool as heck
The Great War: Western Front feels like something of a total war game
Yoo these loook awesome
Barkhan is dune2000 wow i want it!
I've been searching for a good zombie building games but none are really to my taste but Urban Strife looks great.. Although it looks kinda stiff but the game concept is really close to what I wanted..

Great video. I can't wait for Tempest Rising and Manor Lords as well looks amazing. Didn't get a chance to play the demo but looks awesome.
nice channel, subbed
Whats the thumbnail from?
Spellforce Conquest of Eo
@@ColdBeer Thanks!
Famous Estonian mythology 🤣 stop pulling my chain fellow Baltic. Earned my Sub for that joke.
Is there a list like this but for 2022 titles ?
@Coldbeer so does that mean RTS games are not dead?
Pineapple in potato salad? The horror! Speaking of horror I'm not a fan of zombie games but Urban Strife looks like a unique challenge. I hope you give us another peak down the road. Cheers CB!

1:04 subtle burn :P
Aaaaand your sarcasm remains... subtle XD
All of these are interesting though Barkhan I didn't know about til now.
I hope they at least have some story to the clans.
My first time seeing your content. Awesome content. Not only do I share your enthusiasm for RTS, but also your obsession for potato salad. Please do a list of games that are potato salad friendly.
Oh My God, 2023 sounds like a year of strategies we should remember it.
WHAT? a new Spellforce?! also GodSworn and Tempest Rising seems cool. and I wish Stormgate hade more gameplay material
Famous Estonian mythology :D LOL Kalevipoeg (Son of Kalev) and the hedgehog :D
Ha! It's funny but we actually had to learn about Kalev in school here in Lithuania :D
What's the one for the thumbnail?
Spellforce Conquest of Eo
any recommendation for rts games similar to Tom Clancy's End War and ruse beside the games i know from eugen
great writing btw, much better than those generic adds on the other lists i looked up
Thanks for the video. I'm really looking forward to Sanctuary: Shattered Sun. I remembered how I played Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance and left only positive impressions. Sanctuary looks like a promising project.
Space Menace is also worth looking.
I’m glad indie and double AA games are making new RTS games it’s too bad a lot people still think RTS games are still dead.
looking forward for Manor Lords and Agony: Lords of Hell, Miasma Chronicles looks cool, too.
Looking forward to Manor Lords
Great War better have at least a Gameplay trailer with Sabaton playing in the background! 🤘
It's amazing how airships are in so many games and movies have airships in them, but we don't have them. They are a technically viable product and we could easily have flying RVs if any company actually put in the work. Cross with drone technology and now you have maneuverability as well.
Nice list. Potato salad/10
Homeworld 3???
Finally something to look forward to.
Although I still need to complete Cataclysm.
It's a great time to be a strategy games fan on PC!
What about sanctuary, shattered sun. Very similar to the older supreme commander games.
will it be released in 2023?
They're amazing. Laysara looks especially beautiful and maybe a good "chill" game, like the fabulous new Timberborn. I'm glad i9 PC's have finally become affordable. My excuse for buying a new computer (I tend to buy high-end machines every five years or so) is getting close.

Godsworn gives me Warcraft 3 vibes, nice.
01:04 “it was just a matter of time and greed” LOL🫡
what game is the thumbnail from
it's from Spellforce: Conquest of Eo
Ahaha your comment about Momoa. I never did like the cast of Atlantis, but Momoa and his character... was 100% the reason for me not to watch the show. Now I like him :)
War Hospital is giving me this war of mine vibes. I'm not sure if I'm mentally ready for another such game.
Bruh Manor Lords is amazing
Is Agony : Lords of Hell the same as Agony 2018 ?
How is Agony from 2018 an strategy game?
Crown Wars sounds kind of like medieval xcom. Which is great because I love the X-COM system.
Is that Stargate game being developed by the same team who made Shadow Tactics? Because it looks a lot like Shadow Tactics. Like, right down to graphics, vision cones and bushes.

Next time i play a city builder I'll call it Potatosaladistan. :D

Why no Sanctuary Shattered Sun?
will it be released in 2023?

no word yet on terminator Dark Fate game? or Beyond All Reason,
Dungeons 4, would be alot cooler if they went a more realistic/ dark theme instead of cartoon.
I agree, but then only goth-minded grownups would buy it, so it's not profitable :}
the original dungeon keeper was more dark/serious
what game is in the thumbnail?
It's from Spellforce Conquest of Eo
@@ColdBeer thanks
'... Just a matter of time and greed.'
Truth.
Some games were missing, though. Like for example:
Falling Frontier
Aliens: Dark Descent
Burden of Command
oh yeah, that Aliens one looks great!
What about Crossfire:Legion? Anyways going to get a potato salad.
you forgot to put Falling frontier in that list, that will be the best strategie game of 2023
Well, let's be honest, it won't be the best or even one of the best, but yeah, it would be great addition to this list.
I was also going to mention FF, I think it's definitely a game to watch.
Another sci-fi strategy in development is Sins of a Solar Empire 2.
That new terminator rts game actually looks cracked and. I can’t wait for it they dropped game play last year but I havnt heard anything since then
russians were in charge of development, so the publisher dropped them after russia started the war. Thats why its in limbo now
10:19 something like age of mythology
Hahahaha "famous Estonian mythology" xD Cheers from Estonia
War Hospital is gonna create some heavy moral dilemmas.
Embers Adrift. Best game to come out in 2022.
search fantasy strategy game (musst have: playable nonhuman faction without dlc) search not: total war, fantasy general (this name is lie. historical general is the real name) not a game older than 2018
Place your bets on how many actually release in 2023 below👇👇👇
judging from my long years of experience creating videos like this, I would say 4 out of 6

Mmm pineapples in potatoe salat, yum 😋
3:18 Anthony! Stop showboating!
let see how many get this reference
minecraft dungeons only got a 91% positive review because everyone who disliked the game didnt even bother playing it
wow, Rogue Command looks just like Planetary Annihilation
Highly recommend SpellForce 3 if people haven´t played it yet.
Great mix between RTS and RPG with 3 campaigns, 2 different fun modes and multiplayer.
I know there's no announcement date yet (that I know of), but I'm just hoping we see Frostpunk 2 soon.
Storm gate should be a good one

I love beets in potato salad, its a Latvian delicacy that my grandma used to make. :)
Just a random comment so the yt algorithm AI is placated.
It seems to me or RTS trying to return?
Indeed, looks like it ^^
Like, Subscribe and Comment to get @ColdBeer a new computer to play manor lords.
Herringsburg,Gorilkastinopla,Vodkapolis, And so on... XD.
When can we expect JA3?
