As an Atiny, I'm still coming back to watch this regularly, however much later. I applaud Forestella for a mind blowing performance and truly appreciate them doing such a good job. As odd as it might sound, even though Ateez didn't win, I know they all learned so much. There are a lot of program for vocalists, like begin again, Sing Again, Gookmin Singer etc. But this program is last longer, more than 10 years. And a lot of vocalists, idol, band, musical actors came in this program.

Hace poco recien conoci a forestella exactamente en diciembre por un reel que decia "como dicen que los coreanos no cantan en español" y ellos cantaban despacito y me parecio fantastico su presentacion y empeze a seguir sus videos, cada ves conosco mas de este cuarteto extraordinario que embelesa nuestra vista y nuestros oidos con su musica. En cada presentacion expresan muchos sentimientos y nos contagian y nos inspiran aseguir nuestros sueños con mucho esfuerzo. Admiro y amo mucho a este grupo, no dejo de verlos y admirarlos. This is crossover music, which uses a mix of different styles. Forestella mostly has influences from lyrical (classical), rock and pop. Two of the members are actually lyrical (classical, opera) singers, and they had a whole choir backing them up in this performance

They are managed by Beat Interactive, though, which is a kpop company (A.C.E and Son Hoyoung from g.o.d are their labelmates) - They usually perform in their own concerts, Dream Concert and Immortal Songs, although this year they performed in KBS’s Song Festival and the MAMA Awards, since they are famous enough to do so. - Ko Woorim (the bass) is the one that recently got married, he is teased a lot for it. He’s still part of the group, although he’s going to have to go to the military soon (he was born in 1995), so he’ll be on hiatus for a while. Forestella's members consist of two classical vocalists (bass Ko Woo-rim, tenor Jo Min-kyu), one rock vocalist (soprano & rock Kang Hyung-Ho), and one musical actor (R&B style husky voice Bae Doo-Hoon).
They won the 2017 Korean audition program Phantom Singer Season 2. Since their debut in 2018, they have released 3 full-length albums, mini-albums, and single albums, and are actively promoting. They were all engaged in music activities at their respective places before the audition (classical singer, musical actor, chemistry researcher), but they met through the Phantom Singer season 2 program and became a team.
There is creativity in re-creating one's own color without losing the essence of the original song.
They make special music that cannot be found anywhere else in the world, but they move us with music that everyone can relate to. You can freely change your vocal style and play songs of various genres.

As an Atiny, I'm still coming back to watch this regularly, however much later. I applaud Forestella for a mind blowing performance and truly appreciate them doing such a good job. As odd as it might sound, even though Ateez didn't win, I know they all learned so much. They really do soak up all the knowledge that they can in their craft and being exposed to performances like this, especially Hongjoong- I know they were taking it all in with the utmost respect and appreciation. 🖤

Is this the only show that gives the strong vocalists of Korea exposure? It seems like Kpop have alot of avenues to be seen but what about these people who aren't idols yet vocals are top tier.

There are a lot of program for vocalists, like begin again, Sing Again, Gookmin Singer etc. But this program is last longer, more than 10 years. And a lot of vocalists, idol, band, musical actors came in this program.

Hace poco recien conoci a forestella exactamente en diciembre por un reel que decia "como dicen que los coreanos no cantan en español" y ellos cantaban despacito y me parecio fantastico su presentacion y empeze a seguir sus videos, cada ves conosco mas de este cuarteto extraordinario que embelesa nuestra vista y nuestros oidos con su musica. En cada presentacion expresan muchos sentimientos y nos contagian y nos inspiran aseguir nuestros sueños con mucho esfuerzo. Admiro y amo mucho a este grupo, no dejo de verlos y admirarlos. This is crossover music, which uses a mix of different styles. Forestella mostly has influences from lyrical (classical), rock and pop.
Two of the members are actually lyrical (classical, opera) singers, and they had a whole choir backing them up in this performance

- They started promoting with just covers, since crossover promotes voices and musicality. The way they can modify a song in order to transmit its meaning and showcase their vocals is the priority.
- They are not a kpop group, since they don’t do pop, nor they are idols. They are managed by Beat Interactive, though, which is a kpop company (A.C.E and Son Hoyoung from g.o.d are their labelmates)
- They usually perform in their own concerts, Dream Concert and Immortal Songs, although this year they performed in KBS’s Song Festival and the MAMA Awards, since they are famous enough to do so.
- Ko Woorim (the bass) is the one that recently got married, he is teased a lot for it. He’s still part of the group, although he’s going to have to go to the military soon (he was born in 1995), so he’ll be on hiatus for a while. Other members: Bae Doohoon is openly on a long time reationship with actress Kang Yeonjung; Kang Hyungho is likewise dating TV presenter Jung Minkyung.
- Their fandom is called Soopbyul (Soop=forest, Byul=star; it’s literally just Forestella in Korean 😅)
- Yes! They do go on tour: Evolution (2018), Forest and Star (2018), Winter Story (2018), Memories (2018), Illuso (2019, collab with other 3 crossover groups), Mystique (2019), Nella Fantasia (2020), The Forestella (2021), The Beginning: World Tree (2022)... and they are having a North America tour now in January and February 2023!
