back in 1998, when I was still in high school, my school mate and I both bought a pair of Predator Accelerator, we both played only on grass pitch and just after 2 weeks or so, both of us found one of the studs on our boots started to break apart (considering we were slim like about 110-120lbs in weight only), we called the local adidas (Hong Kong), quite surprised that they reply that the first FG model being sold in HK was not suitable for HK's grass pitches (the studs on the FG back in 1998 were a lot longer then the FG's now) so we took our still-quite-new Predator Accelerator back to the adidas shop and replaced to a pair of HG, and they perform perfectly. Kudos to adidas.
My boots actually came completely apart last friday! Complete sole separation. They’re the Nike Total 90 Steam, lasted me 11 years CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! It was their time to go but I actually took them to a shoe repair store and asked if anything could be done since I have absolutely no money for a new pair. They fixed them but I’m not sure if I should use them again, I don’t want to get injured. Btw Love the videos! Saludos from Lima, Peru!

Puma boots suck have had 3 pairs of futures all the most expensive, puma refused to refund the entire amount 2 out of 3 times due to manufacturing fault
@@propersuspect2959 omg i have the exact same problem. I have had the puma one 5.1 and they got sole separated. Then i got a pair of mercurials and they are still in good condition after one and a half season. Now i got a pair of future 6.1 low and after a month the sole seperation already started.
Followed your advise and pleased to say Puma has outstanding customer service!they stayed in communication with me at multiple point during the review process and ultimately gave me a credit to their website and offered to reimburse me for expedited shipping as well! My experience with adidas was not the same as after 2 months of use the Copa Sense was separating at the bottoms plate and they told me it looked like normal wear and tear.
Using FG boots on AG pitches is not a reason for the material getting off the soleplate as the only difference are the studs. AG and FG boots are glued together the same so the AG boots Would break as well.
You're right to a certain extent - FG and AG boots are bonded in the same way, but you often see AG boots being manufactured with a reinforced toebox to prevent the abrasion and ultimately separation between sole plate and upper. Plus, it doesn't matter anyway as using FG boots on AG no matter what will void the warranty. /Jay
Lennart Junghans imo the part that plays in the most here is not the glue but the stud distribution. The fact that AG pitches are shallower thatn FG pitches it requires you to have more studs. FG boots have less studs meaning that when you make a turn or a quick cut you will put more stress to the stud meaning that one stud will have to absorb all the energy and if you do it repetitively one day the bond of the soleplate and the upper will loosen causing sole separation. But when you have more studs on an AG pitch there will be more studs absorbing the energy meaning that the one stud AG stud will absorb less energy than thd FG stud leading to less stress on the sides of the boot. Because of this your AG boot will technically last longer than an AG boot in an AG pitch. So just do what the companies tell you to do and if you use your FG boot on an AG surface you wont be able to get a replacement pair so using the right soleplate for the right surface will save you a shit ton of money.
Yeah have to get clever whenever my boots break since it's hard to find shoes my size in the area I live in and this way of fixing them adds at least a whole year to their lifespan.Great way of saving money too.
Did he just say sole separation doesn’t happen too often 😂every pair of football boot I’ve every owned ripped at the front even after been cleaned after a session or match ?
Yo super glue would ruin the upper, there's a specific glue that is meant to be used on shoes and to fix sole separations. Which you can find it in a hardware store .
Well my worst experience would be with the first gen adidas F50...... both boots had sole separation and on one of them had the sole plate cracked in half.... long story short i fixed them myself since that happened during a game and i had another one the same day.
