Just set up a hammock for my kiddo and this made it so much easier and better! Thank you for the super helpful and easy to follow tutorial. Does the hammock slide through the hitch at all with use?
Thanks for the video! I use an 'O' ring to tie the knot to, then attach to the carabiner, which can then be easily flipped around for safety and to adjust on the daisy chains.
Is there any chance that you can tag a video that uses the rings to install an aerial yoga sling? I’m looking everywhere and I can’t find any that use the rings. I also have an A-frame that has figure out metal connectors attached to the top bar and I’ve been told I can use those directly instead of using the Long hanging yoga straps which also came with the rig so I have both options available to me. it doesn’t come with any instructions. I bought it from Ariel’s Australia online not even one tutorial video on installation. I’ve had to be doing my own researching and try to get the best I can from each video even though it’s clearly a different rigging system
@@deevanessa7798 You tie it the same way as with the carabiner, but with the O ring, the carabiner will be facing down without having to pull the material to the other side when adjusting. Let me see if I have any videos or pictures of my set up. I just added 2 videos on my channel. Let me know if you need anything else!
@@ivabiggin5964 I used a steel O ring purchased from Aerial Essentials. I do also have an aluminum one that my Aerial Certification instructor gave me, but I like the steel ones better. I don't know where she bought that one from.
This might be a dumb question but is there a trick to adding a carabiner to the other end of the hammock, too? Is it just a repeat of the process at 1:00, or is there a trick to it?
Hi! Thank you so much for explaining this so well!☺️For some reason I still can’t get my hammock without some edges being a bit longer than the others.🫢Can you please show / explain how to get such a nice line of the hammock at the end of its tail? Thank you so much!☺️🙏
Hi Kayal! This is a loaded question! Lol! I can't give you rigging advice I'm so sorry! You will need to find a structural engineer to help you answer this question!
I put mine up at 16inches..I love it so far! Tho, I'm wondering if the savasana would be slightly less 'constrictive' at a wider distance? 🤔 I did notice I was breathing really deeply even through being kind of swaddled, I think I felt myself breathing into the back of my chest, and noticing the weightlessness and the feel of the material and my chest expanding, interesting to notice as I usually try to breathe into my stomach and the front of my body 🤔..tho, I think my body also needs to adjust to the new sensations and I need time to explore. Exciting 😀 I'm shocked I can stand in my hammock too with my low ceiling...2.36metres high...I'm approx 5ft5inches tall. I did my first follow along to the 30minute aerial flow, fantastic stuff, thanks!
I'm ignorant to this whole thing 💯. I now understand how to get that carbiner knot, ty btw, but now what? I'm trying to set this gift up for my daughter and it didn't come with any directions whatsoever. I have the two mounts in the ceiling and two daisy chains hanging from that, which are attached to two carbiners at the ceiling mounts. Each of those straps have 6 or 7 small loops. Do I somehow just weave the silk thing through those holes? Anyways, I'd appreciate any help I could get.
Hi Aerial Yoga Life - you are using carabiners the wrong way up. Use the wider end and ensure that you screw down and not up. As you say don't put your slings directly onto the carabiner but if you are due to height restrictions then make sure the screw gate screws down and you are using the wider end not the pointy end for your equipment.
Are you going to try a prusik hitch? Or just stick with a hammock to carabiner setup? Let me know here in the comments! 🙂👇❤️
hammock to carbiner
Yes. I'm buying for the first time. Skipping the rings and the kits. Found a swivel that opens so u can skip the carabiners

This is the most easy to understand tutorial I’ve found. THANK YOU🙏🏻
Thank you!
Simple to understand and perfect for a beginner. Thank you!
Just got my hitches in! They make adjusting the height such a breeze ✨
Yes!! I agree!!! So glad you're loving them too!

What kind of O ring?

Wonderful! Helped me get set up earlier today. Much better than the instructions that came with my stand.
Thank you for the tutorial. How would I tie and hang a single point hammock on a swivel ? Thank you
Great question! I'll add this to my list of tutorials to create 😊
Did you make a tutorial for this? Can u use the hitch on slings with a swivel? I would assume so? I need to be able to adjust the height….
Very good and thorough video demo

No dumb questions! :D You are correct, same same for both ends

Thanks Jess! So much easier to tie!
Yay!! Glad you found it helpful!
Can I ask where did you bought that blue hammock? 😊
Hey Jess! I want to know the distance between the hooks of the hammocks, can you please guide
Hi Monischca! I recommend about shoulder distance apart, especially if you are rigging from a height lower than 10ft
where do you buy the hammock and other stuff? Thanks
Thanks Jess 👍🏼
Hey Jessica there are hooks attached to my ceiling for a swing can we use that to tie

How far apart should the hanging points be?
I need this answer too please
I've read 16inches, 24inches and 32inches..the company I got my silks from recommended 16inches..or 40cm. I'm still confused!?

Where is a good place to order that hitch? Nice that you can easily adjust.
Agreed! I got mine from aerial essentials: www.aerialessentials.com/product/hammock-hitch/

Thank you so much for your incredible feedback Amanda!! I'll be sure to update this information in my future videos!!
@@aerialyogalife you should not keep this video up with this very false and dangerous info...
How do you put it on the rig? Do you just flip the Caribbeaners on I feel like that would slide around
No, you would clip your carabiners onto daisy chains and secure the daisy chains to the rig 😊
It seems like this hitch would slowly adjust as weight pulls it down - do you find it stays put?
It does a bit, but I've been using mine without any issue at all for 2 years now 💪🏼
thank you! ✨
I just bought my first rig
Good job
Thank you!
You didn't show how to remove the knot
