The greatest joy is Is hearing the next generation singing these.......
I re-find this mix like once a year and listen to it every day for a week straight
Every hair on my body rise up. Yesssss Mr DJ u sending my mind to Brixton when I had to sneak out to go Coxsone blues dance.... Trouble.
You can have the whole wide world but give me the Most High Yah.
I saw Alton Ellis in the late noughties (jazz cafe) and he had actually lost his voice quite a bit so one of his back-up singers took the lead a few times. She was his granddaughter.
Sugar Minott. One of the most under rated Singer. A Genius. A Big Tune. Good One DJ. Algoriddim.
I wouldn't say he was underrated. Sugar was and is a big, big star in the reggae fraternity.

ring de alarm
at the 6:34 mark alton's vocals come in very loud and rather harsh sounding (compared to the ultra smooth and mellow vibez of the previous track) .. watch your volume and equalization...keep levels balanced and consistent throughout.. friendly reminder. obviously you don't need advice so much, as you are close to a master (if not a full-fledged master) of your trade clearly. crisp and clean delivery.. apprecialuv it to the fullest
Yep, that's one of the results of doing these once and done. Sometimes you make mistakes. I'm not doing these mixes over and over until I get them right, I'm just queuing up the tracks and going for it. Thanks for the feedback.
yes I
big ups. just found out youve been to durham. did u ever play at the beer study this year?
I haven't. Had a residency for 4 years at Unscripted in Durham, played a while at the Speakeasy in Carrboro, but no routine gigs at the moment.
@@djalgoriddim wow. are you still around the area? would love to come to one of your sessions.
