@@BaltimoreAndOhioRRYou’ve got to be one of the friendliest railfans on this platform! Also, by any chance do you have any Galesburg videos or do you think you’ll make one in the future?
@@VenityGT Of course I'm not perfect, but I try to be helpful and friendly. We're all in this together, right? No, I've never been to Galesburg, and not sure I'll get there in the near future.
I NEEDED THIS VIDEO! I've been wanting a video that just explains all the differences between every engine in the USA for so long! This video is perfect, it gets straight to the point, no fluff or stuff to have to skip past and is super easy to understand. I'm not looking forward to memorizing ALL of the NS variants, seeing as that's where I live. Thank you!
Absolute GOAT of train information and minecraft tutorials, I wanted to comment on your older videos but I thought you might not see them. I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your work! I have built so many of your trains in my worlds!
Thanks for the spotting tips on modern GE locos. I have found them difficult to discern, whereas the older 30- and 40-series EMDs had simple spotting differences.
Not much variety left to identify. It’s like oh, one of many sub-variety of gevos. Also GE locomotives are now made by Wabtec and EMDs by Progress Rail. CSXTs T4 ACes have been sold to PRLX. I think the detail you went into in the subtleties of the locomotives is impressive. I’m surprised you didn’t mention Alco.
0:07 Tony will always be missed for not just Directing Unstoppable but Crimson Tide, Top Gun, Man on Fire and The Fan However some of the engines like the ST70AH from CSX and the SD70ACUs from NS and other engines old or new have been sent back to Progress Rail or GE (now Wabtec)
Bro forgot all about the ES44DC and how CN and BNSF have the largest fleets :((((( But seriously, really good video. This is a great resource for any budding railfan or people with a general railroad interest!
What an awesome video on how to identify these locomotives- and you cover so much in a short period of time! And you also describe the areas on the locos that we can use to identify them- that’s another plus for me. Great info, thank you for posting this. 👍😀
Missing ones I can remember: •SD7 (used to run on Portland & Western before retired in 2023) •SD9 (few still runs like the Copper Basin Railway and possibly more if still needed) •SD40M (I find those on G&W) •SD59MX (that’s the one I was literally waiting for) •GP39-3 (BNSF probably still use them) •GP10 (they still use it on L&D and more) •GP9 (some shortline railroads still use it) •GP7u (rarely found running but I think some runs) •GP16 (I actually saw one running) •GP18
10:49 one of these hangs around the Portland Oregon metro area. Or something that looks like it. Flat radiators that are flush with the body and no notch. I'll get its number next time i see her. Same number though. Its like 4000 something idk
Hey man, just a question I was a boy who wants to get into model railroading. I already have a set now from the starting side. Where should I go? Just wondering cause you seem really good at it.❤❤
i noticed I could look at the writing on the locomotive to see the model if I can catch it fast enough or pause my video quick enough. wowo there's so many locomotive types
This was really well done! Great editing ✔✔ Nice touch giving credit to the creators on screen, excellent job!

Feels like I am back in high school chemistry class. 🤣
Thank you very much for using my video of 1776 in your video! I appreciate it very much. :D
So fun fact! I live down the street from that train station & Me & my Friends have recorded several videos of trains there too!
0:24 I ALMOST SEE THAT LABEL ALL THE TIME! Nice video!

The sd's keep going down. my brain does not hurt it feels very good. I'm a train nerd now.
Ok does anyone have notes for the quiz on this? I keep getting ES44ACe’s mixed with Dash-9’s
EMD Stands for electoral Motive. division.Watch was general motors and is now owned by caterpillar
when are you going to make a video in your military channel?
Great vid! Now you need to do the russian and the european one's
I do it by shape, bell, and horn. (dont ask why.)
Very easy. Just a small box here and there 😅
For an European it’s even more difficult as all our engines look so similar
Craftyfoxe can you make a tutorial for the new GO cab car for you Canadian train album? I have tried this 20 times and I need help
plus good job editing😲😲🤓
Hey man, just a question
I was a boy who wants to get into model railroading. I already have a set now from the starting side. Where should I go? Just wondering cause you seem really good at it.❤❤
i like this now do the F7 f9 and Alco which one was better
i noticed I could look at the writing on the locomotive to see the model if I can catch it fast enough or pause my video quick enough. wowo there's so many locomotive types
what about EMD SD89MAC
what about EMD GP18
They also have ES44DC on BNSF
Also sd40-2 high hood were also used by n&w and sou railroad
and sd45 gp30 gp35 gp38 and gp40
You forgot my favorite locomotive, the GP9R
if locomotives are very similar take a look at their number categories.
I wanted to be able to identify trains by appearance only like I used to do with planes but I don’t know how possible that is after seeing this 😳
Do you still do tutorials on this channels?
This is really detailed and well done. However I will not remember any of this. That’s just me tho
I LOVE AC4400CW
0:07 ho sácale southern pacific
The GP40-2 inspired the F40PH.
CRAFTYFOXE Is GE VS EMD SOUNDS
you forgot the SD39-2 BNSF 1799 plus you forgot the Gp 38-2 like bnsf 2792 and 2309

Could you go any faster? It's not a race
CRAFTYFOXE AC44C6M

dash-9 c44-9w
A train having more HP than a hellcat is actually embarrassing
🐐🐐🐐
I really wish every single GE didn't look EXACTLY THE SAME with very little difference
The small visual differences make it fun to determine which is which lol
