Kick is a new streaming service that is currently in beta. It has a very close resemblance to Twitch, but in time it will be something of its own. It has potential to become something great and is a good time to get on the platform while its smaller.
Displaying your stream chat on stream is a nice feature especially if you are doing just chatting or have an intermission scene and people want to go into full screen when watching the stream they can still see that chat.

UPDATE! (8/1/23) when you log in with say Twitch or RUclips, but you want to be using Botrix for Kick, you need to click on the settings button for Kick under profile

btw, don't you have to type "/mod BotRix" in your chat first to activate botrix so the custom widget chat works and shows the chat messages on screen? (hopefully that made sense)

i just tried it while streaming and nothing happened, anything else I could do to activate the chatbot? Its already activated in my settings for chatbot@@CreoVox

by any chance do you know if it works during multistreaming with different chats merged? (my target is RUclips and Kick at the same time)
Every option I looked into is working side-by-side but not merged.
Hello. Yes it does. Just make sure you have both your youtube and kick linked in the my profile section and then have both platforms checked off in botrix settings for the chat widget. Now botrix is still in beta so there might be times it only captures one.
When I multi cast I use restream so I have restream chat as a back up.

I've tried restream chat first but it didn't work. That's why I searched for solutions and I'm glad I've found your video. :)
It's hard to test things because RUclips chat isn't active unless there is an active livestream :(
I followed your video to the t but when I put a message into my chat on kick it does not show up on my streamlabs, any suggestions?

What about if i cant see youtubes chat in botrix when using restream? I have RUclips chat enabled alongside Kick and I started using restream but I can't see RUclips chat on screen with kicks in the overlay
I'm not sure. It could be that it doesn't work with youtube chat even with it marked. RUclips is funny like that. However I know restreams chat works for youtube. So you might want to use that instead.
Is there a way to set a timer? This is a great video but I found in my streams and it's quiet, the same post is there for the whole stream
Typ /clear in your chat to clear chat and then go to the browser source and reset it or clear cache and that might help. Can't set timers unfortunately

So there are different chatbox layouts and horizontal is one of them.
i have a problem where my chat looks pixelated how do i make it look sharper
Increase the size by messing with the width and height then drag the edges to make it bigger. I think there is also a font setting in botrix. Another option is increase your bitrate
How do you get your chat browser dock to have a black background? I set up mine and it’s white.
So the custom dock is different than the chatbox widget.
I have only ever ran into the white custom dock with youtube streams. I usually just delete the custom dock and do it again when I go live. Kick I never ran into that issue.
Don't know any other fix other than redoing it once the stream is live.

Not really. Either use obs to view your chat or pull it up on the web or on a phone. In obs I use custom docks (I have a video on my channel to set it up) and just put it in obs on one of my 3 monitors.

Yeah you just download the kick app on your phone and read chst from your kick app. Nothing else is needed.

It does not. To do that you need to use restream.io web chat and use restream to multi-stream in obs. That is the drawback to multi-streaming is trying to view all the chats.
