As a veteran in the sneaker (and performance sneaker) realm I really gotta say your reviews are very good. Informative, to the point and the tone is great for anyone regardless of how much knowledge you come in with. Would really like to see more reviews from you
Really appreciate that, thanks so much. Whenever I can afford the sneakers I will definitely review them, wish I could do more for sure. Just picked up the Saucony Peregrine 11, will review after 100k's!
I did not realize these came in a Gore-Tex version. I have the standard version and black color way. I rarely buy Nike shoes but I really like these. Totally agree on the stack height and lug depth analysis. I would like to see them subtract about 2 mm from the midsole and add 2 mm to the lug depth. I’ll be keeping my eyes open for when the Gore-Tex goes on sale next year. Thanks for the review!
Used them for a few weeks now i can say they’re very good!! Only wish they had a little better arch support but everyone’s feet is different would recommend this shoe!!
Definitively more heavy than the former version! 330g against 265g!!! I was surprised , I use these shoes in the mountains for long and cool sessions. I have my Salomon slab sense 8 for short and intense sessions.
Thank you, great review. You've helped me decide on the standard version rather than goretex, I liked the idea of not getting them wet but when you made the point about breathability and sweating I realised being in England it's very rarely below 0c and snows once a year for a few days! 😂 Great informative review thank you
I just picked up the Pegasus Trail 2 in the regular version and 3 days ago ordered the Gore-Tex Pegasus Trail 2. Love these shoes they are perfect . Also picked up the Pegasus 37 Shield and Nike infinity react 2. The Pegasus trail 2 Gore Tex is my favorite out of all of them.
@@bilaltahir9978 I lived it way more then the original Pegasus from now on I'm only buying the Gore-Tex Pegasus trail it's breathable and just a over all better shoe
@@Tiger24kicks That's great. Which terrain do you use the Gore tex version on? Road or trail? And if the latter, do you run on rocky mountains? I'm really looking to get the new trail 3 GTXs for rainy day runs on road and trail but heard that they are slippery and dangerous so wasn't sure. Please let me know your thoughts.
Great review pal! Just wondering on which you'd prefer out of these and the peg 36 trail? also whether you rate the Goretex at all or is it an unnecessary weight gain?
The Peg 36 Trail is still my favourite trail runner from Nike. It’s a little more nimble and faster than the Peg Trail 2. The Peg trail 2 has way more cushion though, so just depends if you want more cush. I like the gore Tex for wet and cold weather, but if you want just one sneaker to do it all, I think going with the regular version is a safer bet for all seasons.
@@swiftcolin they're gone... I've looked everywhere... I have the blue and florescent orange goretex 2s, black and gray 2s, and I'm currently wearing the beetroot 3s...they're pretty hot too! Anyway...good reviews bro
Great review.. One more question, I saw a RUclipsr video saying that your toe can slam hard into the forefront toe box when descending slopes.. bummer ..is that true?
Hey, I am thinking to buy trail 2 as a everyday running shoe because mostly I like the look. Can I run with this shoe mostly on asphalt, Is that a stupid idea?
I've never ran in the NB More v1's. but I have the NB Hierro V5 which I did like. I've heard good things about the More Trails, its a 4mm drop compared to the Peg Trail 2's 10mm drop. Aside from the drop I think they are a similar offering from each brand.
After a year of just wearing Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GTX - its not even waterproof, and the sole came off all around, especially in the front, need to glue it every month...

Woah geez, what are the odds I find a fellow new brunswicker doing a shoe review out of nowhere? Cheers, I subscribed thank you for this!
Thank you! Definitely a great place for trail running 💯!
Great video man! Awesome production quality & you’re very well spoken. Thanks for it!
No problem! Thanks for the comment!

Thank you! I think I’ll be picking up a regular pair in the spring too, big fan of these and excited to see the next iteration.
Video was perfect for right to the point! Looking for some shoes to run outside during the winter in NYC looks like the best option! 🙌🏽
Thx! I’m betting these would work great for NYC!
Used them for a few weeks now i can say they’re very good!! Only wish they had a little better arch support but everyone’s feet is different would recommend this shoe!!
Agreed not much arch support, that’s a good point, but generally really comfy!

@@OlZi304 Personally yes I would, Wildhorse 6 has much better lug depth for rough terrain though.
Bro what is that color scheme? Those are 🔥! I haven't been able to find those.
I can't remember exactly unfortunately, but yea they were super fire!

Your intros are sweet. How do you get your hands on the pegasus 36 trails?
Thanks! The 36 Trail is getting harder to find now, eBay might the best bet right now?
Great review.. One more question, I saw a RUclipsr video saying that your toe can slam hard into the forefront toe box when descending slopes.. bummer ..is that true?
yea they aren't wrong, i didn't feel that was an issue, but I can definitely see what they mean.
@@swiftcolin ok thanks Colin! have a nice day man
@@jonomichi2262 same to you!
Hey, I am thinking to buy trail 2 as a everyday running shoe because
mostly I like the look. Can I run with this shoe mostly on asphalt, Is
that a stupid idea?
I think they would be fine for a road shoe, they are a little heavy, but they would be similar to a max cush road shoe.
@@swiftcolin ok thank you so much for your answer Colin!
Great review. Got them in the black and they are awesome.
Thank you! And I agree completely, they’re definitely awesome.
Are those really fully waterproof? Cuz some of the reviews on Nike said they got wet when they wore those on a heavy rainy day
I wouldn't say fully waterproof, water could still get in some places, but they do a good job repelling water for sure.
Brother, is there any air circulation?
is it suitable for summer?
As like in 37-38° temperature?
Asking to know from south asia.
These are not very breathable, I would go with a NON gore-tex version for hot weather.
@@swiftcolin That's mean you're suggesting to buy without gtx (just Nike pegasus trail 2)?
For hot places yes
@@swiftcolin Thanks for your information.
Where did you buy this color? I also live in Canada and only found the all black version
Right from Nike.ca when they first released, I think they sold out fairly quick, they do restock colours sometimes though.
Hello. As a walking shoes, is the outsole slip proof for indoor floor such as shopping malls for rainy days? Thanks!
Yes I believe they would be fine for indoors!
cool review
thx!
Great content!
Thanks Robert!
When running on wet surfaces, both road and tail, are they slippery?
Yes, not as noticeable on road, but the rubber compound is not grippy at all in wet conditions.
Should i go for this or NB more trial v1?

@@swiftcolin peace,i think i will go for NB :)
How well will it help with black ice though?
I would say not at all! Would have to add some spikes.
@@swiftcolin I see. I guess it’s common to most, if not all, Trail running shoes.
Saucony makes one specifically for icy conditions called the Peregrine Ice+ I believe.
hi,I tried them and they are a bit tight, can you tell me if after wearing them they widen?
I didn't find they loosened up very much, but that might be because of the gore tex material.
@@swiftcolin thank you,all i need is 3-4 mm wider on uper side at the lace
@@soloio2746 oh okay, I would imagine that would stretch out a bit, but I can't guarantee it.
what size do you use
Size 10.5 US
Did you have calluses on your heels?
Luckily that didn’t happen to me!
After a year of just wearing Nike Pegasus Trail 2 GTX - its not even waterproof, and the sole came off all around, especially in the front, need to glue it every month...
Yea they definitely aren’t built to last over of year of everyday wear, I agree!
Hi
Hey my brother! Thanks for the comment 😂
