    Man, I still have my dad's 68 Elcamino. Put it back on the road in 99. He bought it in 89 and parked it in 94 when we had a frame issue. . Had it fixed in 99 and put a new 350 in it with a turbo 350 auto in 01. It is not a SS but has a SS hood. It is white with black interior just like yours although the exterior is not in the shape yours is in. I just drive it and enjoy it. Cranked it up a couple of hours ago in fact. In fact I installed seat belts in it last year and took my two young boys for a ride a few weeks ago. Great memories.

      That's great that you still have your dad's el Camino. Yes, there will be lots of memories made in that vehicle. Try your best to not sell it, because the day will come when you will regret selling it, just as I do with many cars I sold back in the day.

      That's cool! My first El Camino was a '66 back in about 1980. However, mine only had a 283 and a 2sp powerglide transmission. Thanks for watching!

    Nice clean build! Don't ever sell that. The '68's are not seen as often as the '69's and up.

      Thank you! I don't think I could ever bring myself to sell it, I just keep putting more money into it. I do enjoy working on it when I have to.

    Is it 138 or 136

    • @carsandchrome
      @carsandchrome  Год назад

      Oh yes, it is the 138. The only SS elky that doesn't require documentation to prove it's authenticity. Thank you for watching!

      It would be hard to part with because I know every piece and fastener to this entire vehicle. Check back next year, you never know. Thanks for watching!!
