Maybe, but then again, the current plot is trying to get the main girl away from her obsession with dogs and interested in the main character as a human. I think the author had an idea for some kind of degenerate zoophilic series, but exhausted their ideas for scenes too early and then had to come up with something resembling an actual plot.

Inukai's Dog is one of those anime that I put into the same category with things such as Boku No Pico, Goatse, Lemon Party and BME Pain Olympics, art piece whose sole purpose is for shock value and shock value alone and nothing else. The writers knew this was the case, they knew this was a bad idea, but they went "lets makes this as repulsive as possible and make this anyways" and they succeeded.
I still can't get over the fact that there was an uncensored version of this anime like WHY

I know with Interspecies Reviewers, part of what happened there was that the production company straight up lied to everyone about what the content was like until it began airing. I think it was actually significantly more explicit than the manga? It got them in big trouble and people accused Crunchyroll (I think) of bowing to censorship but what actually happened was that part of the production committee panicked and straight up told Crunchyroll to stop streaming it. I think it still got an English blu-ray release though.
I was playing War Thunder while i was watching Garnt’s video on My life as Inukai’s dog. My reaction was extremely similar to Connor’s. I was extremely astonished that this was made into an anime.

It's not even an isekai, just a reincarnation story. The dude is reborn in the same world as a dog.
It is neither of those things, so many people are assuming what the show is about who clearly have not seen it at all.
So... (actual plot spoiler warning I guess...):
A somewhat evil crazy science girl at his school gave him something that turned him into a dog and she's been watching everything he's been doing as a dog as a kind of twisted experiment. At some point he manages to get into his own home where his parents are and it's clear he's been missing for a while. Also all he has to do to turn back into a human is apparently French kiss with the girl he likes, which doesn't even happen so as an ecchi anime it's kinda tame tbh but it is pretty funny.
To be more accurate the mc is shapeshifting.
The first anime that they discussed was "Otogibanashi no Onigokko/ Fairy Tale Hide and Seek" about a man (not isekai and looks like regular h-anime main protagonist) whose found a magical book that transform your favorite childhood stories into fuel nightmare.

While the other anime is My life as Inukai-san's dog. It is available on youtube but as for subsciption for South and Southeast Asia + Oceania continents and they also uploaded the 2 OVA from its exclusive Blu-Ray only release

I am so glad Trash Taste is aware of this anime/manga. I have never had to put down a manga halfway through to clear my head but this did it for me.
Also the breastfeeding scene is simultaneously the most deranged and brilliant thing I have ever seen in my life.

After Garnt highlighted how good the manga's art is in his video I actually ended up checking it out lol, as messed up as the premise and some of the main characters are, I was surprised that it actually has a legitimate plot and plot progression with every chapter, and the whole thing really is in POV.
Also, it's kinda funny when the story itself is clearly made for horny people, but the MC is portrayed as a very reasonable and moral person who tries not to do horny things lol. I'm not sure why that's more acceptable for ecchi stories than someone who fully engages with it.

XD I didn't know this anime existed until Garnt mentioned it on his channel and as someone who grew up with a dog, this was a tough pill to swallow 0.0. Not only is this no where near my theme of interest, my dog was like a sister to me man =( Its just isn't kosher on multiple levels.

I think the thing that concerns me is what happened with interspecies reviewers where a western dubbing studio snagged the rights and sat on it. First it shows that the people in charge of the streaming services are not paying attention to what shows they're putting on their service. I could bet you Crunchy Roll would have paid for the streaming rights for Euphoria if the studio tried to sell it to them as an ecchi anime, cause the people willing to buy the rights aren't the ones looking at the shows they're paying for.
I personally want to see adult media taken more seriously, I never understood the appeal of porn with the terrible writing and the actors so dense it stigmatizes the field as a whole. Games with normal gameplay loops that actually take their adult diversions seriously, sad part is what is more likely is studios like illusion making H games is getting closer and closer to making a fully fleshed out game to go along with the sex scenes it thinks it has mastered. People like adult content, not everybody and not all the time, but some people would like to go save the world and come back to his beloved wife... or hell his harem, or his sex dungeon to unwind. You can fuck a girl in the legend of zelda and it's a kid game, why can't our M rated games and shows be more willing.
The last time I saw a show take a sex scene seriously was the finale of mushoku tensei... yeah two kids banging in a tent was the only sex scene I've seen in anime that takes itself seriously. We gotta do better then that. Adult content has got to stop being treated like it's a childish joke and start being treated like something serious. Every show makes the protagonist into the scared shitless virgin and girls as squishy pillows that would rather be reading the obituaries.

9:17 Oh my god Highschool of the Dead! I love that show but I'm one of the very few people who thinks it reallly didn't need all the hentai aspects. Seriously the show is so entertaining and so good on it's own that it was unnecessary. I WISH I could recommend people Highschool of the Dead as their first anime to watch cause its THAT great but all the ecchi things in it stop me. Its also strangely one of the very few zombie apocalypse animes ever made. You'd think there would be way way more but no.
I believe theres only been 2 actual "zombie" (reanimated human killing living humans) shows.

The only one besides HOTD I can think of is an anime where a girl thinks she's having a great time with her friends at school but in reality she's mentally broken and there are zombies everywhere, people are dying, but she can't see any of it and thinks everything is normal.
