@@MIKIZAZPIKI yes it is. Ireland sent it on purpose because they did not want to win a 4th time. Even the "composers " admited after a while that the song Dreamin was just a copy.

@@ronnypaulsen4206 Why would the EBU just not allow them to not participate, and use the time saved for another non-participating interval act again? Or get rid of that ridiculous language rule sooner? Reading about our 4 wins in the 90s, I'm so confused. It seems like everyone, even Ireland ourselves, were getting frustrated. Why didn't the rules change sooner?

@@occono3543 but the UK and Malta were also allowed to sing in English but they weren't winning year after year in the 90s or even always ending up high (I remember Malta being... 2nd/3rd? in 94 and 98, and UK winning with Katrina) for some reason ;)
You Irishmen were just awfully good at that time - and had to deal with this "curse" somehow :D

Not 8 consecutive beats in the melody, so definitely nothing to do with "Ireland"...

Danny Thompson on bass, Chris Thompson on guitar (the 'man in shadow' - whoever lit Chris for this performance should have been fired...)

This is fucking disturbing. Why are people clapping? This is more disturbing than a John Lynch film.
