- 🎵The pinnacle of classical music of Uzbek and Tajik people became Shashmaqom. Shashmaqom (from Persian-Tajik meaning "six maqams") is the leading musical-cyclical genre of the musical heritage which includes a cycle of complex and perfect 🪕instrumental as well as vocal compositions encompassing different types of melos, forms, usuls (rhythmic formulae) and performances. Maqomat is a phenomenon of the spiritual culture of the people of Central Asia.
⠀
🎵Shashmaqom - consists of six maqoms - Buzruk, Rost, Navo, Dugokh, Segokh and Irok. Each of these consists of two parts respectively, i.e. 🎺instrumental one (which is called "Mushkilot") and vocal one (which is called "Nasr"), representing more than 250 cycles of instrumental and vocal compositions in total.

But it's actually tajik traditional music, shash- six maqam
Uzbekistan has got also Shashamqom. Watch the video attentive.
@@DOCATOURS they were part of us, and it adopted to them.
Shash maqam had been even before islam.
Not shash but shush is 6 in your language. So what does maqam stand for?
@@richcrown1176 please, don't teach me my language, it's shash or shesh (different pronunciation).
Shashmaqam was a series rhythm lyrical music. They called it 12 dastan which means twelve part. Then it translated into Arabic word maqam from middle Persian.
Today it's left only 6 part of them that's why we say "shashmaqam" !
@@just_a_tajik nothing was translated into Arabic. The funny thing that Persians hadn't the proper word for that. That's why they didn't have the other way but to use the arabic word muqam for that
If shashmaqam is about 12 parts. Then what 6 muqams stand for? It might be related with the ancient name of Tashkent which used to be called as Shash
I don’t want to offend anyone, but “Shashmaqom” is a Tajik musical style, not an Uzbek one
My dear friend, It doesn't matter whos style is Shashmaqod and who owns Shashmaqom.
Shashmaqom was invented by the Bukharian Jews. So, when it comes to the invention of Shashmaqom, there is no such thing as saying that Shashmaqom belongs to the Tajiks or that Shashmaqom was invented by Tajiks.
We have greatest Shashmaqom musicians and we love Shashmaqom and we say this is our classical music.
All maqoms originated in what is now the territory of Uzbekistan. Tajikistan had no influence or role in this.
If you think Shashmaqom is a Tajik word, you are mistaken, my brother. Everything here used to be in Persian and that had nothing to do with Tajikistan.
Peace to your house.
Greetings from Samarkand
