Hope today's rain makes a great difference
Yes, it has been good to get a little rain today...much better than watering!
Hi
Have you a Lot of snakes? Best regards from Germany
I live in the USA in Kentucky and this state is full of clay soil and my yard is no exception. Your video makes me feel a lot better about growing in the ground tho instead building a bunch of raised beds. I Just got a significant amount of compost and topsoil that I'm going to till in with a lil bit of Gypsum. Starting a lil late but I got some fast growing varieties of Corn and some bush beans that I'm gonna grow. I already got Tomatoes in my Raised bed.
Haven't seen you for a while . Are you OK ?
Looking good john seems you have lost a bit of weight as well keep up the good work 👍
Being a Australian and it’s summer good job 👍
Whatever happened with the potatoes in the converted clay patch? Would love to see how it turned out, whether a success or if it needed more work.

Good growing there John- wow up here in Brisbane we can't even get into our gardens with the extreme temps & excessive humidity. I Have tried every day even with a Huge Sail covering my patch but no luck. Cheers Denise- Brisbane
Sounds like you need to move south ! 😀
Hi John, how are ya? l chopped some sweet potato vine from the ones l have growing still, they’re not ready to dig up yet. There’s so much vine happening, so l soaked 6 portions in water & roots formed. It took one week to see the roots sprout out, ready now to plant. Just wanted to share coz it’s a great method & cost nothing to do. I’m pretty stoked! 🌿🌈
I'd like to know where you got climbing borlotti beans. Been looking for them for a while. I prefer them to the bush types more common right now. Very tasty podded if you can catch them plump before they start to dry out.
Brilliant video! I always watch when my husband have your channel on. We get lots of inspiration from you. Would Elizabeth ever consider doing a video on her clematis collection? 😊
nice work John cheers from Burnie
Great Video John! Love your updates. Top stuff!
Have you thought of re-sowing the green manure within the potato patch? To increase potential benefits and increase soil nutrition.
Yes, I did think about doing that! Probably could, but I decided not too as the potatoes will quickly spread out and it would be hard to dig in.
Nice job John 😄 enjoy the rain 🌧️
Thanks...we are always thankful to get a days rain this time of the year! Good for the garden, and gives me the time to edit video!
@@homesteading editing is time consuming 😅
New to this channel and liking it very much 👍🏼👍🏼
Welcome aboard!
Your three sisters patch is the picture of success. Good job.
😊 thank you
