I have a watchman (which I got from you guys a couple of years back) paired with a candy cane pistol. They paired within a day of me introducing the pistol. Absolutely amazing to watch how they interact with each other. Learned a lot from this video which I had no idea about before such as what the pistol eats. 💩. The pistol pops are loud. Can hear them down the hall when it’s quiet in the house. I was there late this afternoon and appreciate all the help and Tia’s candid quick advice when it comes to the EVO 13.5 upgrades and ones to avoid. 😉 Love the vids. Keep them coming March!
I have a tiger pistol shrimp that weirdly paired up with my purple fire fish. I’ve had the pistol shrimp for about a year and it’s grown to a massive size. On occasion the pistol shrimp will fire its claw and you can hear it throughout the house. I sometimes swear it’s going to crack the glass. 😕
There's a 99% chance they find the most hidden spot in the tank where you will rarely if ever see them again! Mine found the back corner of my tank the only time I ever see them is when I feed them!
That's the coolest thing I've ever seen. I've been keeping freshwater fish for 50+ years. But today I've seen several cool thing's. Maybe I can do this in a 30 gallon tank, I'd like to keep Seahorse's with them.
Thanks for covering the topic!! Gotta cool duo, randall goby and pistol, together in the evo which is why i suggested the topic in your acan episode. Keep up the great work!
I got a yellow watchman goby. And a tiger pistol I have had for about 9months maybe longer and they haven't paired up. Very sweet thing to watch when they do pair
Well if humans can live with other species, feesing washing and grabbing poop by the handful, then dammit, why can't a fish and shrimp live together! Got to get me these in my tank. But how do you make sure they are in the front of the tank? Will the fish find a place or move to a different place it is placed?
Hey I bought a carribean pistol the other week and a couple days ago I finally found a randals goby which I have been looking for for months lol I got a few questions though. So 1st of all the goby I got is tiny smaller than my pinky finger and the shrimp is definitely bigger is that an issue? And secondly the goby sort of hangs around the entrance to the shrimps cave but not in the entrance as you normally see when they fully paired up im jsut wondering if they have paired up or if they are not happy enough with each other?
What! Thats so sad and wierd. i was wanting to par my goby but I dont think I iwll! This story and someone saying the made the cave in the back and he nevr sees them! Plus afraid they wont pair!
My pistol shrimp is now 11 years old it’s a Randal’s pistol shrimp he very large and been paired with yellow watchmen goby. He has been impossibly to capture and he’s killed all my sand dwelling inverts like sand sifting starfish, firefish , serpent starfish. What can I do??? Help me
its too keep them organized and together they are only in our store for a day or two like this until hey find their new home they sell out so quickly !
Plot twist, the shrimp made all those wholes
That's about the best coverage on the topic I've ever heard - well done! Learned a few new things.

I have a maroon clown, goby an pistol, fire shrimp that chills with the pistol and goby, and a flame angel in a 29… completely dueable!!!
Great video, does the yellow tail damsel or flame hawkfish go ok with this pair in a 50g tank, thanks

will the yellow watchmen goby pair with a red banded pistol shrimp?
Wished my LFS would carry a pair like these, they never have them as a pair.
I just got a banded goby. I want to get a pistol shrimp to go with it, but I have a Valentino puffer. Would that work, or would the shrimp be dinner?
Might be a snack!
I put them together I found the day after the fireworms dragging the rest of goby body and pistol disappeared
Funny how they always find a spot that you don’t want them to build in
How do you quartine? because you can't use copper or whatever

Hello, how compatible is the pistol shrimp/gobbie pair with red legged and Halloween hermit crabs and snails in a 20 gallon tank?
Is there a way to find out the compatibility of what gobies will pair with what pistols?

Are they cool with clams?

In my first tank I added a pistol shrimp and hifin goby, the next day my pair of clowns and the goby was eaten by the pistol shrimp

You'll probably need something to catch it similar to what this youtuber does to get his goby.

its too keep them organized and together

These should be NOT in tanks.... it's just not right, personal opinion.
