Climbing in this game is just having the mental ability to keep playing especially with the 50/50 forced match making imo
there's no such thing as "forced 50/50 mming". If you are playing people of equal skill, why would you expect to have more than a 50/50 win rate against them? if you're better, then you're win rate goes up. if you're equal, it's 50/50 and if you're worse, then you have less than a 50/50 win rate. it's basic mathematics
because you have to be a certain kind of crazy to go through the pain of playing this game
especially as a tank
I use to be pretty addicted to this game and I literally hated my life, idk what it is but playing this game so much actually felt draining, now I play maybe once a week and im genuinely happier.

Because OW is just FPS LoL at this point. Toxic community, F2P carried by skins,Lewd content more popular than the actual game, 80% of problems are blamed on 1 role, gets worse every patch for years but still around, most people playing are in it purely because too much of their ego is attached to their rank or are too invested in raising their rank, paper thin mental. Where is the difference?

If you are a solo player you don't have a group of friends to fall back on during bad games/streaks. Furthermore, as a solo player, it really sucks to be locked in halfway through a round then glance at your team trying to see if they can fit a small health pack in their rectum.
I was watching a flats video from the OW1 days and after watching this it's kind of a shellshock to see how much weight flats has lost. Hope you're around for a long time, man.

I spent 5 hours playing Deadlock the other day. Lost every single game.
Played one game of Overwatch today... went back to Deadlock.
Shit just isn't fun rn.
Three Reasons:
1.) A lot of people online and in real life have the emotional control/maturity of a infant and patience thinner than a strand of hair. Overwatch players are no different.
2.) Overwatch is an incredibly punishing game with an incredibly toxic playerbase, creating this eventual collapse of infinitely mounting frustration and anger.
3.) People will find anyway to shift blame so their ego and perceived self-worth can remain intact. You see this example all the time in competitive environments. An identifier for a selfish player more interested in feeling like the MvP of every game without committing to actual team-play.

Working with what you got is always the key to victory, not complaining about what you think the problem is. Applesauce needs to learn that lol
honestly i bet it's cause applejuice doesn't play anything but overwatch. just needs another game to pivot to when not feeling so hot about overwatch. to add to that mans was playin tank, that shit sucks and am unsure of whether or not it will git better hence why i just outright stopped playing overwatch.
I understand getting mad at dumbass tm in comp. But I had three games in a row where people were raging IN QP. 💀
The mental breaking nonstop is because the Dev team actively wants us to be miserable, taking so long to fix objectively bad balance in any way that isn’t a slap on the wrist for the main issue of the season while microbuffing a different insanely unhealthy hero
Overwatch siphoned a lot of its playerbase from league via marketing so when you pull from a community with notoriously ass mental its gonna poison the well
because everyones constantly frustrated while playing this game because its so much worse than it used to be

Competitive situations bring us closer to the primal state we spent so long evolving passed. If you don't conciously mitigate your ego you will always emotionally invest in a negative way

1. Welcome to Overwatch, every game is a thrower, smurf, boosted, or cheater outside of top 500. The only way around it is 5 stacking with friends.
2. With people out of voice and most games being between 3-8 minutes nowadays, the player base has decided it's not worth trying if you think the game's over at any point

I stopped playing comp because pretty much every game became this. At least in QP they just leave.
Sometimes you get THAT team, I've got no issue with a normal brained person not contributing to the teams respawn parade if that's the scenario. Just sit back and enjoy the show they're putting on.
I just got into a playful argument with my boyfriend and he was wondering what that soldier skin was. I told him its a weapon skin and junkrat got the same design but it made no sense because junkrat has no connection with Los Muertos but Soldier at least did and Sombra should've gotten a skin over Junkrat. He asked how soldier was connected and I brought up his hero cinematic. He believes Soldier doesnt need one if Junkrat didnt need one and god how do I explain that to him. This man is crazy.

Its funny this video came out right after a game of role queue MH where the enemy team won first round easily, then my team had a close win on second round and when the round ends someone on the enemy team says “gg” and leaves so we just steamrolled

If you cant get out of silver try counter playing I got out of it by this way, usually not an aim issue its just a matchup problem

Dude, I’m low diamond and I don’t break when my ENTIRE TEAM has left. I’ve even managed to cap a point that way because one of their dps and one of their supports weren’t paying attention and dancing in spawn.

The only time i get mad playing overwatch is when the enemy has a board certified shoot the tank gamer. I got off comp and went outside after having the same ass mei and sym player running me down. Mf got smoked the instant he got in a 1 v 1 with a dps

Hey flatz I doubt you'll see this or anyone will but a good friend of mine that I've been playing overwatch with for a while just got banned for "too many reports* and we've tried to appeal with only bot replies in response is this a legit thing that can happen? I've played with them for so long we are rarely toxic in game chat if at all and we never throw our games. There isn't anything I can think of besides trying to reach out to someone for info and or help in this situation they've had this account for years now and just lost everything because people reported them for no reason. We don't know what to do.
Edit: and even with the toxicity in game chat we should get a warning first right? And or chat Ban before an account ban. What is going on?
I can’t speak for everyone but for me personally: If I don’t get to have fun, no one can. It doesn’t matter what my team comp is, if you walk out on Orisa, Symm/Torb, Rat/Venture, and Lucio-Juno; we have a serious problem. It’s the constant counter swapping, spawn camping us with the sweatiest comps known to man, Tea Bagging me even though it’s Quick Play and you were being diffed until you started going for me and only me. My mental gets crushed when we’re actually doing fine and all of sudden everyone acts like they were dropped on their heads. It’s the constant being stuck with teammates that aren’t doing the greatest and refuse to listen or take advice that are starting to kill me. It’s not even like comp is the problem, it’s the abysmal level of disrespect you get in Quick Play. It doesn’t matter if it’s your first game on, you’re harassed all the way to Hell. To top it off you have the OTPs that refuse to swap when they are literally causing the problem. Why are you playing Ana into a dive heavy comp? Why are playing Mercy when the enemy team is a full hitscan comp? It’s supposed to be about fun but “having fun” at the expense and cost of your teammates is a different story. You don’t get to OTP and then bitch about whatever role “not doing anything,” you OTP-ing and having an ego the size of Jupiter isn’t helping. My mental gets deep fried because all I want to do is have a casual day and have some fun but then you have people whose sole purpose in life is to ruin other peoples days. What’s fun about playing the most obnoxious compositions? It’s lame as fuck to do that and then say you’re having fun.. I’m glad you’re having the time of your life, ruining someone else’s. It’s beyond callous to have that mentality. If you genuinely think ruining someone else’s day is “fun,” I hope you step on the biggest Lego brick known to man.

What makes you the problem is blaming your teammates for everything, and refusing to have fun. You seem to be the exact kind of person you hate just based on the way that you're talking. Team comps dont matter on quickplay, and if it bothers you that much then you should really step away from the game for a while to clear your head. its not always that deep.
