I'm not a fan of either score. I think the Superman Man of Steel score at least has a few moments of majesty whereas the Wonder Woman score is just one long screech-fest. Man of Steel would have benefited by using the original John Williams music, but WB just had to go for something totally new... just one of their many mistakes. Can you imagine Hans Zimmer doing a new introduction to the Star Wars franchise? The fact that WB lost track of what made the original Christopher Reeves films attractive set up a disaster for Man of Steel. Superman should never have been played dark (trying to pick up the success of the Christopher Nolan Batman trilogy -- without even understanding why it was a success). Superman is an altogether different kind of hero. He's almost the antithesis of Batman, so his music should sound upbeat, positive, as opposed to uncertain, depressed or dark. I'm not sure what Zimmer is doing either with Man of Steel or Wonder Woman except create a lot of ear-shattering noise. These are by no means his finest works.

Of the two, the Superman theme is better as it has some build-up and resonance. However, I don't think Zimmer was a good choice for either flick. It might delight those under the age of 17, but for everyone else it mostly sounds like a lot of screechy noise. By attempting to make an up-to-date theme for Superman and Wonder Woman, Zimmer missed the finer points in presenting a heroic track. When you play this shrill nonsense against the John William's score, you get a sense of one reason why Man of Steel didn't hit the mark. Zimmer has done some good work in the past even though some portion of his renderings sound identical (e.g., Gladiator and Pirates of the Caribbean). Marvel/Disney should have stuck with John Williams. The music alone would have ensured us that we were viewing a Superman motion picture.
Everything was great ... until he brought in the girl power statement at the end of the video. He had to shit on superman just to show how women are the strongest. Off my list now. Just keep your mouth shut and let this stay a-political. I don't need someone telling me what is what to be able to enjoy something. I enjoyed both movies and I love both characters, but I don't have to put one down just to lift the other. Quit with the agenda's and let people enjoy themselves without all the stupid crap! Now I can't enjoy the wonderful video of this moving music and won't watch this again. Bye!!
