Comment 💚 if you are pregnant, ❤️ if you are a parent, 💛 if you are trying, 💙 if you want kids, 💜 if you don’t and 🖤 if you are undecided! Just an easy bit of research into my current audience 😊 I’ve been off here for a few weeks but I’m always on Instagram! I’ve just been finishing my THIRD!!!BOOK!!! and kicking motherhood’s arse! Xxx
I just wanted to say that I respect you SO much for protecting your baby's privacy and identity online. It's so rare these days and it really shows your strength of character and values, not only as a mother but as a human being.
💜 have never wanted kids and hate the idea personally of bringing children into the world right now, I’ve made my peace with being selfish with my time 😂 but you have clearly found your calling, motherhood makes you radiate sunbeams from your soul!!
Hey Meghan 'radiate sunbeams from your soul' is a lovely way of describing what Melanie exudes. You put into words so eloquently what I also noticed when watching the family videos.
Yesss I agree.. Melanie radiates with pure joy when chatting about her husband n son... I'm so happy for her... As she has shown us.. She has been through tough times in her life... But being married.. A parent and being an author bring joy to her soul... Love melanie so much she is such a beautiful person xx
I actually love that you guys are referring to his soon-to-be childhood playmates as “cousins”, speaking from the perspective of someone who did not have contact with many of my cousins growing up. I think it’s great to broaden the term “family” to also include people who you’ve not only been linked to by blood, but also by close friendships.
Same! Both of my parents loved far from their families so I didn’t grow up around any of my extended family. Having cousins and aunts and uncles through my parents friends and their kids really helped me not feel isolated as a child.
I have to say... there's something very healing about watching your vlogs about you, Thomas, and baby pan living such a healthy, happy, and normal life!! I didn't have the best of childhoods, so watching your videos makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that there are kids out there who are getting the very best of their parents. Much love, Mel!!!! 💙💙💙
I’ve stopped watching your videos as much since youre baby arrived because I’m not really into child focused content but watching this made me realise you’ve got a really nice balance. I think I’m going to do a little binge watch now 💜
I'm so glad you all are doing well. Baby Pan is so big now (and his little teeth coming in are just so darling). It has been so nice to follow your journey on youtube for so many years, and I'm really grateful for the privilege of you sharing your young family with all of us. Big socially distanced hugs and love always from this Canadian gal 💙🍁
❤ 5 1/2 month old baby girl who's made me grateful for everyday since having her, now off to re-watch your day in life of 6 month old again now I can relate! Love you guys 😘😘
I can't wait to watch the whole vlog. Your honesty and lovely family always cheer me up! Good luck with the move and finishing the book 💙 Ps Thomas's hair looks great!
Thomas's hair is so thick now wowza. I also love how you show us him but you still have the privacy by not showing his fill face. You are doing great Mel x
I am so happy and joyfull to see two people willing to put in time, physical and emotional skills and effort to raise this gorgeous baby. He is so loved and cared for, growing up in healthy environment already set up for content and successful life. Bravo for you and Thomans 👏 I've been a long time follower and you have grown so much, matured, created this safe space for yourself and your family, its truly inspiring to watch. 👪
❤️Watching this made me so happy! You and Thomas are such lovely parent's. My kid's are teenagers now and watching this brought so many memories flooding back of them at a year old. It's such a special time!
💜 I use to despise the idea of kids and couldn't understand why everyone seemed to need have them (probably me just just pushibg back against the idea i was expected to have them at some point) I have completely softened now after watching journeys like yours and see the beauty and work in it! But definitely still not what i want for myself! 😊Xx
💙 what a wonderful video! I have always wanted kids and cannot wait to have my own! I also work in a nursery with the 3month - 1.5 year olds and they are the most precious little gems!
Loved this ♥️♥️ isn't it wonderful, the love you have for your children is the deepest love and getting to know them as humans, enjoying them and doing things together...it's such a beautiful thing ❤️❤️❤️
❤️ my two littles are in school now and watching your video is bringing me back! I was also lucky enough to be home with my husband while they were small (both working from home/doing online school) and it was so lovely. I feel grateful that we had so much time together as a young family.
💚 25 weeks with my first! Felt my kid kicking around while watching this video and got so excited at the thought of them being a cool one year old like your wee lad!!
💜Never wanted and definitely never will, however I just think there are certain couples who just make the best parents ever and Melanie and Thomas is one of them! Baby Pan is a lucky kid! This is still beautiful to watch which is weird because I don't really usually like watching child related stuff.
I looooved the music in this one!! Gave me big Zelda vibes (I started listening to Zelda music whilst writing my master’s thesis purely because you mentioned it in one of your monthly vlogs. :) As for kids, I’m undecided. I always thought it would be black and white and that I would sort of just know, but I’m 27 and don’t feel ready yet. That being said, I adore kids and work at a long day care in Australia. The babies and toddlers are so cute and I love spending time with and caring for them - but it also gives me a pretty good idea of how much work is involved in raising them and I know that I’m not ready for that kind of commitment. Maybe sometime in the future. Your vlogs are so sweet, calming and just generally make me yearn for a family of my own. Thank you for allowing us these glimpses into your life! Also, I CAN’T WAIT FOR GLASSHOUSES!!!!
Lovely video Melanie thank you for sharing this 😁 I’m 24 nearly 25 I don’t have kids but I still find it enjoyable ☺️ it’s lovely to see more of your sons face
Such a calming video. I loved seeing what kinds of food (and how healthy) you feed him. You guys seem like great parents x More videos like that would be wonderful! Greetings from germany
❤ 5 month old daughter! Love these videos. Love that you're a champion for bedsharing and attachment parenting! Gives me confidence that I'm doing the same and helps respond to shitty comments from family that don't understand it!
Loved this video!! It’s so heart warming to see a beautiful and happy relationship between parents and their baby especially since the whole conspiracy around family vlogging channels and how they treat their children. You and Thomas are phenomenal parents and I can already tell that Pan is going to grow up to be a wonderful young man. I hope you’re doing well Mel and sending all my love🥰
💙 still a teenager, just starting to look into long term contraception w/ my boyfriend, but your channel is fuelling my baby fever!! You've always been an online big sister figure to me and it's so lovely watching baby Pan grow 💕
This video just had me beaming throughout! It's so nice to see you all so happy! I hope I get to experience this myself one day, but until then I'll continue being broody due to your content 😂💙
❤️ to a eight month old. It's been crazy to see Pan just ahead of my little one. Thinking that's what it might be like soon. Loving this parent content... It really suits you both x
Melanie I am 🖤🖤🖤🖤 but I LOVE watching these videos. Thank you for giving us a raw and real look into motherhood so us black hearts can make the most informed decision. I’m so thrilled you three have a new home to be moving into!!! Can’t wait for the house tour vlogs!!! Good to see ya Mels! 💚💚💚💚
❤💙 I understand the sentiment of wanting more kids. I want like, 7! My little boy turns 3 months soon, and he's already so smart and strong. It's only going to get better.
❤️ love that you and Thomas also do that weird thing in the evening during your 'me time' where you constantly talk about the baby, if you want another one and remembering what life was like before it all 😂 so relatable! xx
💜 I never liked the idea of having kids since I was in my teens. But the way you make your baby videos they still always have a message or something I can take away from or relate to. And who knows, maybe I'll have to baby sit kids from friends soon. Then all this information might come in handy 😉
💜 but I love kids. I’ve been a massive part of my nephews’ lives since literally the moments they were born. I used to spend a lot of time with my friends’ kids before the pandemic as well. I really enjoy being an auntie figure but my physical health would make it very difficult to be a full time care taker for a child.
🖤 - currently going through chemo and had to do egg preservation. I'm due a stem cell transplant so pretty sure ill be infertile, and I dont know if I'm strong enough for IVF. also I remember watching you guys when you were doing long distance and now Pan is 1 🥺 so happy for you guys and its so good to see you so happy Melanie ❤
💙💙💙 I'm not in the right place in my life right now for children but I CANNOT WAIT for when I am. I'm broody as hell and I'm so looking forward to being a mum and having my own family. Sometimes I just get overwhelmed and cry over how much I love my future children already. I've loved being able to see this journey for you and I'm so happy for you and your family! I'd completely understand and respect a decision to share even less with us, but thank you for sharing what you've felt comfortable sharing 💙
💙 Ah Melanie, this video was delightful! I love you and Thomas together, you're so hilarious, especially with the puppets. You seem like such a wonderful mother and I also enjoyed the music
❤️ my little boy will turn one in a few weeks time and I’m getting soooo emosh about our first year and the newborn time and how quickly everything goes 😭😭 but it’s true, I just love him more every day and things just get better and better.
💜🖤 Leaning towards not but maybe a little undecided. I just think it's impossible not to lose a part of yourself when you have a baby. That's not necessarily a negative thing, of course having a child will change you, I'm just not sure I want to do it. Aw Mel your videos always make me smile like an idiottt :33 I am barely 22 and having kids is still sooo far down the line, but i just adore listening to you talk about your little family and all the good things to come :) it's nice to know that there is always this comforting corner on the internet ^^
💚Totally relate on the post (or mid)-pandemic weird couple humor. My husband and I were very lucky not to lose our jobs but we’ve both been working from home since March 2020 and been together 24/7. I’m 13w pregnant with our first after many miscarriages and years of trying but now at least 4 times per day I bust out laughing thinking “what will our child think of us”??? Because we can get WEIRD sometimes!!! (But closer than ever)
It always amazes me how different babies are. My little girl is 3 days younger and is the size of a 6 month old, she has 3 meals a day, 2 snacks, 2 bottles, 1 nap and bedtime is usually 7:30pm-8am. I love seeing how different they all are, doing their own thing 😍
💙🖤 just had a kyleena ius coil fitted the other day and I'm happy to hopefully have a wee break from worrying about contraception for a while. So happy for you and your wee family 😊💛
Tbh 1-year-olds still count as babies, to me at least. Toddlers start from 2-4 (our local word for it is 'balita' which is shortened from 'under 5 years old')
❤️ we are ! We have a 13 months baby girl and even now I can’t believe it! This month I had for my first time a miscarriage (I was 11 weeks) I feel strong, I have only good feelings ,nothing stopping!
💙/🖤 my partner and I agreed to leave it as if it happens it happens, and I tend to go between "oh my god, give me ALL the babies!" to "I don't know if I'll be able to cope being a mother, maybe I shouldn't." I'm 33 and used to want a baby before 30 and now I'm much more relaxed about it
Wow. You guys are doing so great. Can't help thinking how different my routine with my bub is going to have to be (cause will have to go back to out-of-home work after 3 months). Defs going to try and pump so they can eat bottle milk during the day when I'm out but...can already see its gonna be tough. And already sad about how much I'm going to miss out on being only there in the mornings, evenings and weekends 😓

Such a cosy video. Gives me real joy to see you all enjoy parenthood so much! SO excited for your journey with the home buying! 💙

💚 8 weeks with baby number 2. Just wondering if youve heard of women pumping but not breast feeding? I'm considering it for baba number 2.
💙💙💙💙 watching this brightens my day so much :)
