- NOTE: The description of the ordeal in this farming accident is a harrowing one and may be too graphic for some.
In a split second, Jamie Houdek's life passed before his eyes.
The Little Falls man told his wife that he was going outside to pick corn on their field, where they raise a dozen beef cows.
Jamie Houdek hopped on his tractor and went to work. He got about halfway around the field and then stopped.
"I wanted to get a bunch done that day and so I jumped off and I left it running, which I shouldn't have," said Houdek, "I knew better."
"I went to grab a cob of corn out of the husking bin of the picker and as soon as I reached for it my right hand got caught in the rollers of the husking bed and began pulling my right hand and arm in."

geez....how horrible.....he only survived because he kept his cool and because of a great farm neighbour, who stopped-while others just passed by.......
Country folk are simply a different breed-hands on and get it done....
I wish him all the best for the rest of his life......
.....why you use so many......dots??.....
What an intense story. Thank god you’re alive. You have a fantastic attitude, I admire that.
I work on a farm where this exact same indecent happened accept his name was Chris Pollock he got both his arms caught in a picker also and it is a very scary thing that can easily be avoided , Chris was lucky enough to be one of the first people in PA to get a double hand transplant.
Wow, and still can’t believe some people were just passing by and never stopped.
Thank God there are people like his neighbour. Super brave
Lucky he didn't bleed to death.
Quick thinking in an intense moment! But its always better to avoid the situation by staying clear of rotating machinery.
Cool head under pressure.
I'm glad he's ok. It was hard to hear him with all of the background noise.
Stupid fuckin kid ruined it.
Turn your volume up then. That's called kids.

Kids are not responsable, but the adult with them who is also interrupting so loud! Turning the volume up only gonna make them sound even louder
@@christinesmith5706 what a silly comment lol
Farm accidents can happen to anybody at any time. Be careful out there or else you could end up buying the farm!
glad he survived. i hate machines.
shout out to his neighbor Kevin 👏🏼
Baler twine. Always good for something
+Tanner Nguyen they did not use baling twine they used the string from their clothes
Something similar happened to a young man working at his families produce store/farm around here
Not sure exactly what occurred but they found their son dead in the field trapped in the machine
Can't imagine it...just horrible
Believe they ended up closing n selling the business
😢
Flowers come in bunches!!! Work doesn't!!
This person never shot another interview after this I’m sure. Must’ve been family
Ohhhhh fuckkkk noooo fuckkkk thaaaaat
Seems as someone could of kept the kids quiet while he was telling his story. Very distracting. Hope he’s doing well.
sounds like a guy I know
PTL u made it.
😖😭
I don't understand. These machines costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. A cell phone costs ~$500. Siri- Weather. Why not have a voice command on these machines that recognizes STOP or NO. Yes, they work over noise. I can have my blender on full blast and my voice command on my phone works every time. Or a seat sensor. Exit seat, machine shuts down. My poinst is that relatively simple tech that exists today could have saved this man when he slipped up.
What, is there a freaking circus going on in the background???? Geeze!
Called his fàmily

More like uneducated/disrespectful adult (maybe wife, maybe babysitter?) the kids can't understand by themselves, but that woman is just louder than them!
@@ryuk4471 No it's called a family, you probably don't have one.
