We stay at the Cedar Key B & B across street. You have to try that one one time. You’ll be hooked. Unfortunately for Faraway Inn they lost a couple buildings close to water and others flooded.
I painted those room interiors, laid those pavers, installed the metal roofing with the previous owner Oliver (now passed) and much much more. Now after thel last storm, cottage 1 and the lattice pavillion are gone. Hurricane Debby is now about to hit and there may be even less of it. So glad you guys captured the hay-days of the Faraway... definitely one of the last best places in CK to stay!
I hope the rebuild as well. The community is close knit, so I am sure they will keep that old Florida town alive. Hopefully it will be a speedy recovery .
Love the video, This place is awesome I think I'll try it next time
Thank you, it was a perfect spot if you stay in Cedar Key.

@@CandidAdventures definitely do. Alice the owner of 20 years is an amazing person and a wonderful host.

We are too, and we hope we get to stay there again soon.
I just saw a video that said it was destroyed by the hurricane. Hope it is just minor damage and can be repaired. Such a cute spot.
I saw the pictures and it's not good. The water was all the way up the hill past the archway. I hope they can rebuild.
