Speaking of non traditional cozy games, I’ve been finding BotW and TotK to be amazing for my mental health. That version of Hyrule has been a real sanctuary for me.
They are perfect as cozy games (excluding guardians and gloom hands xD)! My favourite thing is to just jump on my horse and enjoy the horse riding theme playing 😌
@@Anni_ka 😄 yeah no guardians or gloom hands please, though at least there’s always the teleporter! I wish my tablet did that. I’ve actually got some extended versions of the soundtrack on an mp3 player so that I can relax or sleep to the most chill tracks, like Zora’s Domain or Lurelin Village.
@@DissociatedWomenIncorporated Hahaha, oh yeah, that teleporter would come in so handy in real life 🥲 And same here! I got the CD soundtrack for BOTW (not sure whether anything was released for TotK yet?) and made a couple of playlists for different moods ☺️ My favourites are the Hateno and Korok Forest themes! And in TotK also Dragon Head Island. Just so beautifully bittersweet 🥹
I wish there was a relaxed mode. I’m only half way thru BOTW but i get too overwhelmed by battle 😂 like even the Lionels are so stressful. AMAZING game tho. Maybe one day I’ll let myself by TOTK without finishing botw 😂
I LOVE spiritfarer so much, I’ve played it twice and I cry every single time. If you’ve lost a loved one and are struggling with it PLEASE play this game ❤
Cozy Grove is an awesome switch game if you haven't tried it, yet. It's kind of like Animal Crossing meets Spirited Away. It's really budget friendly, too! I highly recommend it! ☺️
@@steph8030593 I like it. 🤷🏽 I agree that it was slow at first. However, now that I'm in a little over a week and unlocked more bears and more lore, there's lots of stuff to do. I prefer slow games, though. So, it's probably just a personal preference thing.
I’m so so glad you talk about No Man’s Sky so much. I’m a big sci-fi fan but cannot handle any combat so playing it in “safe mode” is like a dream come true.
Great list! I also love Cozy Grove, Suika game and SDV. For me, Dark Souls is also a cozy game on Switch, which probably sounds insane! The first time I played it I found it a challenge that I didn't always enjoy but was determined to beat. Once I had the skills down and knew where to go I found it very replayable and weirdly soothing. I'm guessing everyone has at least one game that becomes cozy through familiarity. :)
Dorf romantik was thoroughly replayable until I couldn't exceed my high score. However, Islanders is even better! It's like a 3D version of DR but gets progressively more interesting and every island is different. I got it in the sales but worth it even without
Great list! I just bought Good Pizza, Great Pizza because of this list, excited to try it! My husband and I watch The Game Awards every year, and I voted for Sea of Stars in the categories it was nominated in. Truly a beautiful and amazing game! I've found some good games through your lists and reviews, keep up the great work!
There is a previous video of you recommending wylde flowers and I just want to say a big thank you!! The game is like a breath of fresh air with the amazing voice cast and fun story. I hadn’t even heard of it and now I’ve played non stop it’s definitely a top game of 2023 for me. 💛💛
Great list. NMS, Wylde Flowers, and Dorfromantik are particular favorites of mine. For me, I would also add Tetris Effect, Powerwash Simulator, Hexceed (think Minesweeper), and some version of Picross. Tetris Effect is perfect because it has a mode for every mood. In particular, the "Purify" mode set to beginner and endless is incredibly relaxing, since it allows me to zone out and clear just one or two lines at a time, really getting into the flow state. Powerwash Simulator is way more addictive than it has any right to be. I have nearly 600 hours in the game. I usually play it while listening to audiobooks or other stuff. I've yet to find a better "podcast game" than this. So, so satisfying. Hexceed gets slept on a lot, imo. I used to play minesweeper as a kid, back when it was one of maybe two games that came pre-installed on every computer. Hexceed is like that, with a few additional twists. Just like Picross, once you play it enough you learn to look out for patterns and it becomes incredibly chill/relaxing to play. Those three, No Man's Sky, and either Skyrim or some form of roguelite are my personal games I could never live without. Pretty much all of them feel cozy to me (or at least can be made cozy, depending on how I choose to play them). My Switch is basically a cozy gaming machine these days, lol.
100% agree on the list! If you loved Coffee Talk, may I recommend trying out VA-11 Hall-A? It's very similar to Coffee Talk in my opinion but puts you in the shoes of a bartender in a cyberpunk setting. The music is amazing, the characters rich with depth, and it's super cozy. If you ever decide to review this game I'm super looking forward to it! ☺
I LOVE that game. Only in chapter 2 and I love playing as Jill. The story is so immersive despite only serving drinks. Can't wait to find out more about gillian and who Alice rabbit is. God I could infodump about it forever. I remember seeing the recommendation under a coffee talk video and never looked back.
Just downloaded ooblets it’s currently on sale on the switch store 😁 Wilde flowers, sea of stars and dorfromantik are next on the list to get as I’m also currently playing Dave the diver which is another great little game to play too!❤️
Noo! Good Pizza Great Pizza has a whole story!! It’s not just a restaurant management game! Every customer has a unique character and special orders they change them time to time and they include you in their life choices! It’s very inclusive and so so fun I even teared up while playing it’s way more than what you expect it!
So glad to see coffee talk near the top of the list! It's my all time favourite cozy game, if I could remove my memories of it and experience it again fully for the first time I would! Plus the vibes are just on point
I am so glad you mentioned NMS as a good cozy game. It is my favorite cozy game. Even with the survival elements, I find it's really simple to keep yourself topped up and just. Explore. I also use the cooking extensively. It's so fun to setup a cooking line and just.... Go to town lol.
I recently bought Little Goody Two Shoes because of the amazing cutsie but dark art style not knowing what sort of game it is. I thought maybe it was some sort of lite JRPG but it’s more like an adventure narrative with lite RPG elements sort of game. It’s pretty chill and cosy, you go around doing tasks for the townsfolk which are mini games, get your relationship levels up with some friends, discover items hidden all over the map, etc. I’ve played it a few nights before bed and it’s really fun and stress-free. It’s an indie game that is published by Square Enix.
Thank you Eeowna! :) now I have some new games to put on my wishlist! And just wanted to say that because of you I have played Coffee Talk, a short hike and now I am trying on Spiritfarer and the last campfire :D really lovely games!
I also got Spirifarer through her lists, and absolutly love it! The last campfire I somehow discovered on my own, but the puzzles are a little to hard for me :) But I've seen over the last year that I evolve as a player, and when I go back to games I previously struggled with and see that I can handle them better, I get inspired to try again with games I had almost given up on. The last campfire has been abandoned for a couple of years now, I think. Time to try again! :D
As someone who is not into cozy games at all aside from Animal Crossing: Wild World (when I eventually buy a Switch I will take New Horizons for a whirl!!), Beacon Pines, Lemon Cake, Night in the Woods, Sims 4 Island Living(yay Hawaii/mermaids/dolphins lol), Melon Journey, (anticipating Ribby, Puff Pals, Naiad-- aaaand still want to play eventually the already released Mail Time and Lil Gator Game as they have piqued my interest a bit, despite being really short and seemingly not having much substance to them), Moss, Button City, and technically Ooblets(which I completed and had a lot of fun with, but simultaneously had a gajillion critiques for xD), my non-traditional cozy picks go to Dragon Quest 11, Fall Guys, Spongebob: BfBB Rehydrated, Oxenfree, and Mario Kart!! ;D Despite my tastes, I appreciate you and this channel for highlighting games that might go under the radar in the grand scheme of things and giving flowers to the titles that cozy gamers would have a heyday over!! xD I'm still slightly dipping my toes in the water of cozy games as I'm currently testing the Atelier series, specifically Atelier Ryza 1! I'm borderline hating it, but it's at least slightly picking up more/getting out of tutorial mode at 10 hours in lmao and the good news is that if I end up dropping it, there are about 20 other Atelier games out there that differ oftentimes wildly from one another(Ayesha, Shallie, Escha&Logy, Lulua, Lydie&Suelle etc)! I may be in luck finding one that suits my tastes, we shall see!! xD Have you ever dabbled in that series before? :D I think Atelier Iris and the Mana Khemia branch seem most appealing to me as the former especially does not follow the typical Atelier formula and instead turns to being a traditional RPG xD
If you don't have a switch yet, super recommend getting a 3ds first! Animal Crossing New Leaf is such a great game too and some of it's charms are missed in NH. Also lots of great games on 3ds so
It was the old school Harvest Moon games that got me into cozy gaming. I haven't played Stardew nor Animal Crossing yet and my favourite cozy game for the last year is Cult Of The Lamb ❤
i definitely recommend animal crossing! u can get villagers and go villager hunting ,decorate your island and get your island to 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of course that’s not the only things but that’s all i could think of right now 😅 anyway, if u end up getting it, enjoy!
I absolutely loved sea of stars and both coffee talk are one of my absolute favorite games and especially as cozy game. I know it is not on this list but I know you @Eeowna love Beacon Pines as much as I do. There is gonna be a Physical release on limited run even a collectors edition. Thought you and others might are happy to see that ❤
Me: Uh-oh, I am going to end up buying a bunch of games. Also me: Oh, I own many of these already! Still haven't worked up the emotional courage to play Spritfarer, though.
I spent some time watching a few let's plays. I would try things first and then watch a chapter and see how they did it. None were cosy but also none seemed to want to shoot much. Try ElanPaul his beginner's guide is easy to follow, well explained and layed back.
I bought the game on Eeowna's recommendation. I got completely lost. After a little research I figured it out. Play in creative mode. You don't need to gather resources to stay alive or even need money to buy what you want. Try to scan every animal on a planet, collect all the building parts and create amazing structures, follow an intriguing storyline and never have to worry about dying. 😅
Honestly, I would start the game in normal mode, just to go through the tutorial and get the hang of things. The settings can be changed at any time, so if you're concerned about dying you can go in and turn off all types of damage. You could also start a game in creative mode, but I wouldn't recommend it at the beginning. It's better (less confusing) to start in normal mode and then later, if you want, go into the settings and make all resources free/infinite (which is essentially what creative mode is). I have well over 800 hours into the Switch version of NMS (more on other platforms previously), so I'd be happy to answer any questions if you have them. It's definitely an enjoyable game, and like Eeowna said, it can absolutely be made as cozy as you like.
My son told me about this game but on regular mode I found it incredibly frustrating. But I'm playing it on cozy mode, which I didn't even know it had. Thank you, Eeowna, for telling us this!
I'm currently playing sea of stars thanks to your suggestion! I've played about half on this list and loved them all- I can't wait to check out the others on the list!
I’m OBSESSED with Wylde Flowers! It made me love Nintendo switch 🥰 I’m just trying to find more games that I love just as much! So I’m going to buy a few of the games you’ve mentioned ☺️ thank you!
I wanted to love Sea of Stars and Cosmic Wheel, but I got stuck on both of them and just didn't have the heart to restart. Dorfromantik is still one of my go-to games along with Suika. I am also playing Ooblets again as I try to get all the cars and level up as many of my ooblets as possible to have driver's licenses.
If you want to save some money Spiritfarer as well as Storyteller are both free to play if you have a Netflix subscription :) I did buy spiritfarer on switch as I think it’s most definitely worth playing it in there, Storyteller on iPad didn’t have any shortcomings whatsoever :)
Sky:Children of the light is such a gorgeous game. I really encourage people to play it. I've been playing sky for almost 3 years now, and when I need an escape from this world, I find myself in theirs
There are so many games on sale right now, I’ve been looking thru all your vids for the best cozy games❤ This helped so much. A lot of them are already on my wish list but I added a couple from your list I hadn’t seen yet. 😊
Im preparing for surgery in two weeks by finding some simple cozy games (that i can play tired sore and high on pain meds) some of these suggestions are completely perfect ty!
Eeownaaaa, you should try Baldur's Gate 3! I know it's not a switch game, but maybe in your own time you could try it. It's amazing and somehow quite cosy since battles are turn based and you can often choose not to fight. I think you might really like it.
Love your videos! Thanks so much for putting them together. I have only discovered cosy games in the last year or so but they have been such a pleasure to play! Playing sisterhood of the cosmic wheel right now and definitely enjoying the chill witchy vibes 🕷️🪄✨
Thank you for this list ❤ I’m going on a long trip soon and though there are some titles on your list I’ve already played (and agree on the excellency of 😂) it gave me a bunch of wonderful titles to try out during my travels. I know your taste is very similar to mine so I can never go wrong with one of your recommendations. Thank so much in general for your continuously splendid content, honestly watching your videos is always giving me the same vibes as playing cozy games. ❤ Love your content ❤ much love ❤️
Great list. My cosy games at the moment are ACNH, fae farm on switch and everywhere else Palia, The Sims and Ranch simulator. But dofromantik looks right up my street and really want wylde flowers
I'm so glad to see No Man's Sky get some well-deserved love. I jumped on the hype train when it first released for PS4 years and years ago. I preordered it and everything, which I'd never done before. However, unlike so many others, I never got angry at the devs or threw shade. NMS was still unlike anything I'd ever played before! They've also dropped so m massive updates over the years! It's been quite awhile since I've played, since I prefer to use my PS5 now, and I unfortunately got one without a disk drive near the end of supply issues and they were invite only on Amazon, ironically my mom bought herself the one with the disk because she loved mine so much, so anyway I unfortunately can only play NMS on PS4. I might buy it digitally if ever on sale, though, so so I can play it on PS5 anew. I adore the discovery and exploration aspect -- I could play for hours doing just that, which I often did when the game came out, even before all the massive updates.
I can't beleive you dont talk about Power Wash simulator. This is the most addictive game ever and soo cozy! I played on ps5 but i know its on switch and steamdeck has well. Soo satisfaying!
Just got a copy of Spiritfarer at a discounted price. It was not at the top of my wish list, but you’ve recommended it, so. I’ve played Switch for a little more than a year, I only played Fae Farm and Rune Factory of cozy game genere so far and I like them. Can’t wait to try out more non-farming cozy games.
You should try Witch of Fern Island...it's a visually stunning game with a huge map and growing. Still EA but next update will open up the entire map and all puzzles. There is so much to it! PC only though.
Fresh Start is great. Overall I still prefer Powerwash Simulator, but Fresh Start has a very similar feel to it (just a *tad* less polished). It's definitely worth a buy for any cozy gamer.
Eeowna Sweetheart, do you have an idea what happen to the cozy game NAIAD? The one with the cute river floating red haired mermaid? 🧜♀️ It appeared in the Nintendo shop last year, just to disappear before it was released! It was so cute! 🥺🩷
Spiritfarer is a great game that I absolutely will never finish. It's rough no matter where you are in life, emotionally, but it hits very differently when you are in the midst of a post-direly-ill-with-COVID existential panic. I can never go back.
Played good pizza, great pizza on the iPad (with ads), and that was perfect for my cold-fogged brain 😂 I really liked it, but I prefer playing it with the pencil instead of the joycons, so I did not get it on the switch.
Great suggestions! There are definitely some of these games that I’ve heard about but never checked out but definitely will! I’m surprised no one‘s talking about how Hogwarts Legacy is now on switch! My husband played it on PS5 earlier this year and I just recently downloaded it on my switch so I could play it in my bed and it’s actually pretty awesome… The graphics are obviously nowhere near the same but it’s not as laggy as I thought it might be and honestly totally worth another play through, especially since you have animal habitats that you can customize even once you beat the game
I have a game recommendation for you its called “miss little goody two shoes” I don’t know if you spoke about before but i got on this Black Friday sale they did on the eshop and am obsessed with it
Maybe I’ll give the cosmic wheel of sisterhood another chance. I didn’t really like the tarro card design but if it’s good other wise I might be able to get through that 😂
Thanks for the great list as always! Do y’all have any recommendations of PC exclusive cozy games? I just got a gaming pc for the first time and don’t know where to start! I’ve already played a lot of the cross platform games on switch or ps5 but wondering what pc games I’ve missed.
Hey just wanted to ask if you ever tried "a short hike" on the switch? I really liked it as a short relaxing game. Also ABZÜ. That one helped me when I was in collage during the last exams crunch.
Wylde Flowers was such a wonderful cozy game! There’s so much story and all the characters are truly their own person. All the farming and resourcing you do never felt like grinding and was fun more than anything! Absolutely loved it!
Speaking of non traditional cozy games, I’ve been finding BotW and TotK to be amazing for my mental health. That version of Hyrule has been a real sanctuary for me.

The dialogue in VA-11 Hall-A featured so much casual misogyny it gave me big ick. Which is a shame because I loved the music and art!

I really hope there is another unnamed goose game AND wylde flowers!
That eyeshadow! You're GLOWING, Iona!
You introduced me to Ooblets and I have zero regrets! Man I love my switch.
1:17 Spiritfarer is actually what got me into cozy games
No Man's Sky definitely earned that honorable mention. Great game and the switch port must run on black magic.
I loved Wylde flowers!! it definitely could’ve be better and I REALLY hope they add more too the game in the future!
Could you do a video for point and click games please? ❤ They are really cozy to me even they have darker themes sometimes.
I felt in love with spiritfare. Made me even cry 😭.
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is my game of the year!!
Love your content ❤ much love ❤️
Great list!! I would add Venba, SaltSea Chronicles, and Dordogne 😊
Venba was such a fun game! They're also planning on releasing a list of their recipes! I can't wait to cook their food IRL!
Venba was such a special experience, I loved it.
Only recently found out about the spiritfarer update and now want to play through it again so I can meet the new characters
Great list. My cosy games at the moment are ACNH, fae farm on switch and everywhere else Palia, The Sims and Ranch simulator. But dofromantik looks right up my street and really want wylde flowers
Yay I’m so early ❤ hope you’re all having happy holidays!
NMS is fantastic :)
Extremely cozy and worth every penny
Cosmic wheel sisterhood is one of my favorite games!
I need to play them all
A third of my switch games I got from your videos lol I'm still currently addicted to harvestella and wyldeflowers
This is exactly why i follow you and love you. These are all my favorites, too. 💜
I hadn't realized Wylde Flowers had updates. Time to jump back in. I basically played through the first year and stopped.
Girl I love your makeup look and your skin is glowing omg 🎉😊 Great video
This is a wonderful list thank you so much for making it!
I've been playing the free game trial of Fae Farm on the switch and I'm obsessed. I'm going to miss playing it till I can get it
Gris, Far lone sails and Eastward
what was the gardening/cooking game 29-31 seconds in? it looks so pretty 🥺
I’m pretty sure it’s Rankuen
Dorf romantic is my before I go to sleep ❤this game so much
I can't beleive you dont talk about Power Wash simulator.
Oh yes I’ve played Dave the Diver too. I’m at the start of it, but to me it’s not cozy at all as I always struggle to secure my daily catch.
I hadn’t seen the cars for ooblets yet. Guess what I’m playing today ?! 😂😍❤️
I love cozy games! Have you played Cattails? The second game just released on switch, and I think it's such a lovely game!
owning half of these games already makes me realize i have a spending problem 😅
What eyeshadows are you using? Your eyes look amazing in this video! Also, I’ve found many great recommendations through your videos, so thank you!! ✨
oh my gosh! i have to check out the cosmic wheel of sisterhood 👀 it looks incredible!! thanks for your recommendations 🙏🏻
Could you say what that gardening game I saw in your intro was? I’m curious :))
You should try Witch of Fern Island...it's a visually stunning game with a huge map and growing. Still EA but next update will open up the entire map and all puzzles. There is so much to it! PC only though.
Pretty good list, but I would pop Fresh Start on there. ❤
Catch you Monday stream eeowan … some of these games my self take a break from Sprit fare ….. got to heartbreaking for me
Spiritfarer is a great game that I absolutely will never finish. It's rough no matter where you are in life, emotionally, but it hits very differently when you are in the midst of a post-direly-ill-with-COVID existential panic. I can never go back.
I love your videos! 💕
you should play lemon cake, virtual families cook off ch 1 and ch 2!!! some of my favorite restaurant games for sure
I have most of these games because of you lol. Lovely suggestions.
Awwwww, Disney Dreamlight Valley should be on this list.
I Love your lists so much🥰 and your make Up is extra pretty in this btw🤍
Have you heard of Pixel Café? It’s coming to the switch November 30 and I think it’s gonna fit this category perfectly. 😊
Great video, as always. Thank you 😊
Thanks!
Hi! Can you tell me what is the game in the intro at 30 seconds? I love the look of it!
Played good pizza, great pizza on the iPad (with ads), and that was perfect for my cold-fogged brain 😂 I really liked it, but I prefer playing it with the pencil instead of the joycons, so I did not get it on the switch.
Beacon Pines 😳 it’s so good, needs more recognition.
Great list !! Every one listed are amazing games
How did Kingdom Two Crowns not make it on this list!??!?!
First time watching your stuff, great video! I like your take on all these, will definitely be checking your other stuff out
I absolutely LOVE your eyemakeup 🤩 could you please share with me what that magical twinkly goodness is ❤❤❤
odens eye christmas collection! :D (Not sponsored just obsessed with it)
what’s the second game that was shown in the intro? the one with the planting and cooking? thank you!
